An awesome library for all ages! We came here for the outdoor story time. What a fun time for the kids! The staff were very engaging with the kids the whole time. Inside they have a great kids section with lots of toys and even a play veterinary office! Lots of great books to choose from for all ages. Cool displays of books. I loved the staff picks!! It was a bunch of outdoorsy reads. On the second floor they have an outdoor patio, great for relaxing and reading. They've also got plenty of quiet rooms inside if you need that as well. The whole place is very clean. The staff here are great too if you have a question don't hesitate to ask!Plenty of parking.

My go to library! But this review is specifically for the play area inside. I love that libraries are more focused for children. The play area at Lone Tree is a Veterinarian "office". It's free and a good place to let your little one use their imagination. Best for littles 1-5. Bonus: check out some books and help your child love to read!

This is my favorite library in Douglas County. Location and building are great. I like that it wasn't just dropped down in the middle of a downtown area. Library staff is very helpful as well. There are plenty of study rooms, however, if you want to use one of them, reserve ahead of time. When going to this location it's rare to see one of the study rooms available. There are also some nice areas to sit and read. There are also plenty of places to sit and work on your laptop. Of course, they have desktop computers to use. While mentioning library desktop computers, make sure you bring cash or coins to print copies. When I tried printing copies in the past, they didn't have the credit or debit card option setup yet. Overall, it's always a great experience visiting this library. I love the nice harp layout of the building. Looking forward to many more visits!

I loved the old, cozy Lone Tree Library. We could walk there, or ride bikes. But it was very small, and Lone Tree grew. I am a lifelong voracious reader, and libraries are sanctuaries to me. The new library is wonderful. It's quite large, and the staff is terrific. I once needed some obscure psychological testing manual for grad school, and a librarian tracked it down for me through an interlibrary search. These days, I mostly buy withdrawn books. Today I went in, and ended up with 15. Oops. So many new books by so many favorite authors!

The Lone Tree Library is the newest addition to the Douglas County libraries and its OK for short visits but not very useful if you want to sit and read or do anything that requires a longer stay such as do homework or business since the number of desks are very limited and it can be very loud and noisy with people openly talking loudly, noise from printers and copy machines and other people conducting meetings and loudly talking on their cell phones. The parking lot also fills up fast. The one thing that I found unique about this location is that it has multiple outdoor patios to enjoy when the weather is warm.

This is a nice library, which will soon be relocating. The setting currently is right near a pool, golf course, and a nice walking trail. However, if you come in the summertime, be prepared for many children that are running around with parents who do not seem to be watching them. Libraries are supposed to be quiet places, where people can relax, and peruse through the many different genres of books that are on offer. I am sure there is a fine line here, but if parents are unwilling to control their own children in a library, from running and yelling, shouldn't the library staff do something to encourage these families to be more respectful of others? It is not cute or acceptable to be looking for a book, when I am run into by children who are using the library as their playground.

Whoa, what a modern library! Ever since the Highlands Ranch Library closed for renovations (until April 2019), I've been coming here. It's somewhat on my way home from work and not too far away from my house. I was pleasantly surprised how well this area developed in the recent years. Lone Tree definitely had the modern architectural feel and all the apartments near it matched. My main purpose of going to the library was to do some work, I'm not very good at focusing at home, it's just too comfortable. I usually go straight to the study area on the second floor of the Highlands Ranch library, which is filled with desks. I was kind of disappointed when I didn't find a similar area here. I was still able to plop myself down somewhere but I can see the study spaces filling quickly. There are a lot more private study rooms here so I think it's better for group meetings. When there is space, I do love the corner on the second floor right by the windows. There's great natural light and minimal distraction. I'll definitely be back when I need somewhere nice to get some work done.

I don't know if the guy was a manager or something but I came in in a rush and this guy was incredibly helpful with me, walked me through with printing what I needed, from start to finish very helpful and courteous. If you see this review, thank you very much for being so helpful.
