Let's face it, a trip to the DMV is not a pleasant experience for anyone. Apparently, this includes the people who work there daily... except Matt, he was very helpful. Knowing this before I went in, I was on my best behavior and was very cordial to the staff. Granted, my wife was with me, so I didn't have much of a choice in the matter.Honestly, the words, "I'm not arguing with you, I just want to make sure I understand the process," came out of my mouth at least three times. Still, the employee helping me, Kimberly, appeared to be getting agitated simply because I was asking questions. I told her I realized it wasn't her fault the process to have title work completed took forever. I told her I realized there were delays beyond her control. I was just trying to figure out why the postcard for my $36,000 car indicated I would be paying over $6,000 in registration fees and why the plates for my Jeep had been paid for 6 weeks ago but still hadn't arrived. Was there an error in the address? Could she tell me if they had been mailed, before I paid for another temp tag? Was there any way for me to get another temp tag without paying for it since the delay clearly wasn't my fault, either? I'm not sure why these questions triggered her, but they certainly did. Ultimately, the site supervisor intervened (also triggered by a taxpayer asking questions) and seemed to think the best answer was to escort me to a different clerk. That's where I met Matt...and I really do hope he's there to help me again tomorrow.

There isn't a time that I've been to this one where it was excessively long, tortuous, and/or the entire place feels like a dirty, awkward old library with twilight zone playing continuously in the background. You don't leave and feel ashamed or pissed and the people working are not like the ones who work at the Lonetree location... I'm unsure if this location offers all services so make sure you figure this our before going!

This is a great location for taking care of vehicle registration. I've never waited longer than an hour. This particular day I'm pretty sure we set some kind of DMV record- ale though they didn't give us a trophy or plaque or anything! But we were in and out under 5 minutes! What??!! I know. There was one guy finishing up when we got our number, then we got our registration taken care of, and we were out! The machine was out of numbers and the security guard helped and another gal got that fixed, they were all nice! Not the typical DMV experience. Yay!

Not sure why there's so many negative reviews about this location, because I've been here for 2 different vehicles on 2 different occasions and each time was in and out within 5-10 min tops. Both times, the staff member that helped me was very friendly and professional. The key is to arrive before they open and be among the first in line. No complaints here!

Never had an issue here. I've always had happy customer service reps. The One-Star reviews are sorta funny. Go spend 1/2 to 3/4 of your day at the D.M.V. in Vista, California and then tell me this location is terrible.

Contrary to most of my experience with government workers, the people here are actually quite nice, helpful, and efficient. However, my beef came when, after being quoted a registration fee twice what I was expecting (everyone said equal to a monthly payment...wrong), I whipped out my credit card and had a $20 credit card processing fee added to the payment.When I asked why, she said, 'The credit card companies charge a 3% fee.' Uh...yeah. To you. And to everyone else who processes credit cards. The difference is that I don't pull out my credit card at the grocery store or gas station or even the post office and have them calculate a new price for me.Thieves.But at least they smile at me and thank me after bending me over.

I loved my DMV in Golden, so when I moved, I thought there was no way I was going to get that lucky again. I mean, it's the DMV. No one like the DMV. But! This one is great!! I'm not sure if I just got lucky with the time I went, but it was not busy, so I was called right away (seriously I think the shortest time I've ever "waited" and I went in the middle of the day). I was needing to register my car, which I had never done before, and the dealership didn't send me the card I was supposed to have, so I was nervous. I had Amanda, and she was incredibly nice! She was patient with me while I tried to figure out what I needed to give her. She informed me that I would not be able to complete my registration because the car needed an emissions test (which the dealership had not done/informed me about). She let me know all of my options as far as how to go about getting everything taken care of, she told me what to do with the temporary tags and registration when I'm ready to dispose of them, she also let me know that when I come back to bring a check book if I can to avoid credit card fees, and she even showed me the list of license plates I can choose from, but told me the standard ones are obviously going to be the cheapest option. She just made me feel like even though I didn't know what I was doing and things weren't going right, that everything was going to be okay and they were willing to help.

Tried to get a new title for a car I had to repo from an employee. Turns out they put a typo of 127,000 miles on the car title instead of 27.000. Refuse to fix it saying that since we signed the title that was that!! Also said it was perjury, yet asked me to sign for anything above that amount for the new title. Well is that not perjury also?'!! Jennifer Robert's "Supervisor" refused to show me the paperwork where I stated the miles. Bill of sale and Emission test report from the same day all show the correct mileage. They are the worst.

I walked into this DMV after getting emissions done at exactly 4:31pm. I was asked if I had an appointment (which I didn't), and then preceded to tell me they don't take walk-ins past 4:30pm. I was flabbergasted since I basically walked in at 4:30 and I asked if they could take me since nobody was waiting and there was open attendants and they said no and to do it online. Then proceeds to tell me I have to wait another 3 days till I can renew my registration online or at the King supers booth because the emissions won't pass through until then. But it would've been much easier and faster for her to just do my quick registration since I have The emissions form. I mean she was nice about it but just didn't have any compassion.
