Donut Mill

The Donut Mill is a tough place rate with stars because there are 3 different experiences to be had here....The ***** (5 star) is for the quality of the dough in the donuts. My group tried the bear claw, long john, and apple fritter. All were very good. The **** (3.5-4 star) was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were a good texture and the portion of the meal was great. The gravy was well made and the consistency was great...only drawback for some is it is what some describe as oregano heavy in flavor. I thought it was more peppery; but, my group's consensus was it tasted like Italian food, so I'll go with that. The ZERO-stars was the sausage breakfast burrito. We had 2 in our group and both were awful. Everything on the inside was dried out and just inedible. Both burritos seemed like they might have been under the heat lamp for hours, if not since yesterday. Other patrons seemed to enjoy other items on the menu. Nobody else had a burrito while we were there.

The Donut Mill was good but not extraordinary. The donuts were fresh, soft, and tasty, but they didn't stand out from other good donut spots. Donuts were a bit larger than average but they still felt slightly overpriced. Inside, the vibe was simple, cute, and homey. When we got there on a Sunday morning, there was already a line, so it's clearly a popular place. Overall, it's worth a try if you're nearby but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Good donuts, quite sweet though so one is enough for a quick breakfast run. The coffee is pretty good, comes in a compostable cup and optional little creamers/sugar on a small bar next to the self-serving station. The burritos are alright. The sausage one is good. (The chorizo one has bits of shredded potato mixed in with reconstituted egg and small amounts of meat, a little spicy).

The maple donut was the best I ever had. My compadres didn't particular enjoy the giant bear claw donut (too heavy and dense), but mine was delicious...so there you have it. 5 stars based on my donut. Coffee was okay. Recommend going down the street for a better brew.

What a classic this place is. We got the 5.5lb cinnamon roll!! Big enough to feed a village and it tasted so good!! The lady who helped us was so kind. She had brown hair and a beautiful singing voice. Unreal. The place was quiet as usual whenever I have visited over the years.

I've been wanting to try the donut mill for such a long time! It's located in woodland park, so it's a great place to stop after a hike or a trip. After looking at fall foliage, I figured it was finally time to have a donut. They're open all day, although the selection seemed slim when I went in the afternoon so I figure it's probably better to come early. There were only a few options (sadly no jelly donuts), so I tried a maple glaze. They have a $5 credit card minimum so I also added on a donut hole. The flavor, texture, dough puff and sweetness were all perfect. I didn't think it was too sweet and I didn't crash from sugar afterwards which usually happens to me! The inside is very cute with lots of seating and nice restrooms. They also offer ice cream, beverages and food items! This is a great place for a sweet treat.

Stopped here on our way down from the mountains for a sweet treat. The donut selection was small, but the ones they did have were very good. I got the apple fritter because those are my favorite, and it was amazing. It's much bigger than expected, and because of the size, it counts as 3 donuts when buying multiples. The apple fritter was crunchy and gooey with the apple in the middle, so sweet. Wished they had more selection being called donut mill and all but still very good fritter. They also sell food and ice cream, which I did not expect. The staff were very kind and answered all our questions.

I really enjoyed this place. My boyfriend and I got donuts after eating breakfast and they were really tasty. We got three donuts. The strawberry , sugar , and apple fritter. The apple fritter and strawberry donut were good. The sugar donut was good but nothing special. It's cute inside

So kind.Sooooo delicious.Sooooo worth it.The Donut Mill is a local DREAM! It is part of the fabric of Woodland Park life and culture.And at this altitude? That soft pillowy donut bite is hard to achieve! But the Donut Mill has undoubtedly found the perfect balance.We were thrilled to share this gem with our kids on a trip back to Colorado.Thank you Donut Mill!

Donut Mill brightened my day! We made a day trip to Breckinridge, CO from the Colorado Springs area. That morning, we had stopped at a gas station with a Dunkin Donuts location. I was so disappointed because Dunkin was totally out of donuts!!!!We spotted the Donut Mill at Woodland Park on our way to Breckinridge so we immediately pulled into their parking lot. Quaint and charming donut shop they have. It is not one of those fancy looking donut shops, but they do have lots of indoor seating available. They make some HUGE donuts here! Specifically, those bear claws, apple fritters, glazed twists, and cinnamon rolls were really large. Prices range from the $1 range to almost $5. They have day old donuts too. I tried a Maple glazed donut which was still yummy despite being a day old. My wife's glazed twist was also good. I was a fan of their Apple Fritter, but my friend was not. The custard filled chocolate bar that I had was also delish.So happy to have found the Donut Mill! Wonderful donut shop for the locals, and for travelers passing by!
