One of my 3 month old's first outings was the Pumpkin Festival & it was also the first time our whole family had visited the Botanic Gardens. We had a blast! Our entry day/time was Friday at 10 AM & I highly recommend this slot since it wasn't very hot or busy yet. We found a beautiful pumpkin but I didn't see a bad one in the whole field. The food trucks were my husband's & my favorite part. The selection of food and drinks was fanastic. We may have gone a bit overboard since we hadn't been out of the house in so long.Only thing I could ask for were more picnic tables but we know to bring a picnic blanket next year. Our little guy was too young to enjoy the kids activities but we think he'll love it next year. This is our go-to pumpkin patch for fall!

Best fall festival/pumpkin patch I have been to! Wonderful for my toddler (2-1/2 yo)! There was a great selection of food and vendors, a very large selection of beautiful pumpkins of all sizes, and live music! I loved that they had a mini corn maze for toddlers and kiddos that may not be patient enough for a long one yet. We did not have time to do it, but I love that it was available! Plenty of places for photo ops too!

I feel for them, but the Trail of Lights the last holiday season was incredibly disappointing. We took both sets of parents as a family holiday outing and it took 25 minutes to walk through, including about 15 minutes in the warming/snack huts. My mother-in-law even asked afterwards if we felt ripped off, which is never a good sign. Every person working seemed to be smiling but that did little to impact the lack of light displays, and the lack of quality in the displays that were up. The downtown location is obviously the right choice. Too bad Chatfield feels like such a phoned-in afterthought... (we came with my in-laws about 10 years ago and it was short but really nice, with multiple impressive displays, so we did have an apples-to-apples comparison)

The Chatfield Pumpkin Festival is super fun and we go every year. Tickets tend to sell out early, especially for the early time slots, which are, in my opinion, the best. The reason for this is because the lines for face painting, balloon creations, and bouncy toys aren't as long as they get, but mostly because it gets VERY hot. Shade is limited and at a premium and there id usually only one place you can fill water bottles- so bring lots of water. You can bring a picnic, which is what we did this year, although they typically have lots of good food trucks to choose from.

I loved seeing all of the flowers in bloom. My kids really enjoyed the butterfly pavilion (it is very small but nonetheless it is nice to see) There was a few farm animals, a pig, a few chickens, ducks, a goose with an awesome set of hair, and a few goats. The best part of the farm was the stream by the house & bridge. It was a really nice shady area that looked like something out of a painting. My kids popped their shoes off and waded in the stream. We happened to go the first day we had temperatures over the nineties. There is a nice play area for elementary age kids along with a little pond where kids could cool down and play in the water. All in all this is a nice place to take your kids to visit. Make sure to bring water bottle to stay hydrated. I would say the only thing lacking is a concession stand or gift store.

Parking service very efficient. The attendants directed cars into spaces in the field to park their cars before heading to the lavender fields. As soon as they scan your tickets at the entrance, you can turn left to the booths to purchase stuff or to the right to enjoy the flowers. I bought a mini bouquet of lavender from Lamborn Lavender. They have a variety of lavender bouquets. I only saw the ones in the metal containers which ranged from mini bouquet dried ($8), mini bouquet fresh ($10), up to the big bouquets ($23). The label for the mini bouquet fresh was lying on the table instead of affixed on the small bucket so I initially thought ALL the mini bouquets were $8. It was lovely walking around the farm, enjoying all the various flowers, herbs and plants, not just lavender. A lot of them are not in bloom yet. There's also attendants driving golf carts between the parking lot and the field entrance for the young kids, elderly and handicapped. Inside they had small caboose trains linked together for a drive around the Hildebrand portion of the garden area. There's a butterfly building which you need to line up to enter (**you can't take floral purchases or food into that building**). There's more to the place but it was getting close to noon and it was hot and tiring for me to be out in the heat so I left after roaming around there for 2 hours. The attendants were friendly with providing directions. The attendants at the Sweet Action food stall took my credit card for my order of a double scoop but didn't give me a receipt. I checked later and that charge has yet to show up on my account.

My sisters and I love going to see new areas and experiences so when they were in town we went to the Denver Botanic Garden in Chatfield. The butterfly area was so fun and beautiful. It was captivating and unique to be surrounded by so many beautiful butterflies and flowers. We loved it. We walked around the area and saw the other fun spots. Overall it was great & the ticket pricing is pretty reasonable for what you get. It was hard to follow the online map since there was not a printout. We got lost a few times and gave up but overall had such a pretty and fun day at the Botanic Gardens!

I visited here for a party and thought it was great. We didn't explore very much of the grounds, but everywhere we went had interesting things to see and was open and friendly. Parking is by the area that has the most buildings. Note that the only bathroom I found was in that area as well. I need to return here in different seasons to get the full spectrum of what it has to offer.

What a beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy the outdoors in different ways in every season. We went for a walk on a day before they had an event going on and we really enjoyed the space. The people working here are so kind and wonderful and hard working. I look forward to coming back for more events and things to see and enjoy. We both had a great time and spent a lot of time this day here! Definitely a place to come back to again and again !

We attended the pumpkin harvest festival here in 2023. While we enjoyed the time here, and we were surprised at the limited number of food and drink offerings. We were expecting to see a few more or at least some different variety. The pumpkin patch itself was good and we were able to find several pumpkins of different sizes. We did not try the corn maze, but other people said that it was really great. It happened to be a particularly sunny day, and it should be known that there is very little shade. That is no fault of Chatfield Farms itself, but should be known that if it is quite sunny, bring a hat or an umbrella.
