Nice park with plenty of parking. Was pretty crowded after noon on a Saturday and lots of mountain bikers. Plenty of trails and well maintained. Also great views and shade as well. Highly recommend!

Nice park in Littleton CO. There us a sign posted at the entrance of the park to ensure you are at the right park. I can see how it would become full during peak hours. I went in the evening on a weekday, so parking was a breeze. There is ample parking available with some parallel parking available for larger vehicles. There is a restroom facilities at the trailhead with running water. Which is a huge plus!I did the Meadowlark and Plymouth trail from this location.

We flew in for weekend wedding and decided to take advantage of as many stunning hiking spots here that we could. Our first hike was the Deer Creek Canyon. It's a short 10 minute ride from Littleton and has a clean and easy parking lot. It was a bonus that there were clean water fountains though not so great was that the bathrooms were locked when we finished out hike at 7:30pm. Good thing we had plans to go straight to dinner so we were okay. Now for the hike, there are many trails to choose from and we chose the moderate one. It was a medium level of difficulty with steep moments. Three quarters of the way up we met an intersection and switched over to that trail which was very beginning friendly and gorgeous views. Overall it was a good hike and I recommend it for beginners.

This is a popular trail with hikers and bikers. The first half mile is packed dirt and then you encounter uneven surfaces with rocks. Pretty easy with one section of uphill until you reach the scenic overlook. Take breaks as needed with the slight elevation gain. A bit too much traffic for me but a manageable trail for most folks.

Pleasantly surprised! For a 10 min drive from our house, it sure was pretty, well maintained, clearly marked, lush, and a nice getaway without having to drive clear out of the city. My husband and kids had hiked this easily, and wanted to show me the 2.5 mile loop. We will for sure be visiting time and again, especially to get us in better shape for longer treks. Exited to still find new little hikes here and there.

Beautiful, challenging trails with breathtaking scenery. Baby rattle snake on trail in July so be alert. Bring water and be prepared to be awed by nature!

How have I never been to Deer Creek Canyon Park before?!? This place is awesome! Typically, I try to get a bit farther west with moderate to hard hikes but little did I know that there is amazing trails only 20-30 mins from Denver! There are a couple parking locations that are paved and well marked. The largest parking area was quite full but I never felt like there were too many people on the trails! The park has a number of really good trails depending on your preference, some steeper, some in the trees a bit more, some wider and you have a lot of connection points to change trails. I never felt worried about getting lost and people were friendly with most dogs on leash.I like how some trail signs have symbols to say if the trail is moderate or easy, nice way to guide your visit if you don't have a map. I ended up doing about 5 miles and I never felt like it was too crowded. A bit of rain def kept the traffic down. Check out Deer Creek Park! It's a gem closer to the city
