Very sweet park which connects to the Cherry Creek Trail all the way to Denver. Lots of trails going through open space and neighborhoods, and over wooden bridges. We easily wandered for over three miles. Stroller-friendly even on the dirt portions, since they are well used and fairly flat. Plenty of paved walkways so you can go after a snow. A thing to note - there are a lot of off leash dogs here. While I am a dog person and loved meeting people's fur babies, I understand not everyone would be comfortable. It's not an off leash park but locals seem to be used to doing this, so just be aware there will be curious pooches saying hello.

A nice secluded medium sized park with big wide open fields give ample room to play a multitude of different sports. This park also connects to the Cherry Creek Trail, Preservation Trailhead and the 17 Mile farmhouse historical site. This is a great place to hike, bike, or take a beautiful nature walk.

Note: There are technically two parks in the same area, this one is accessed from Apache Plume Rd and the other is accessed from Snowberry Way across the Cherry Creek river. The park on the west bank of the river is the larger one and includes some nice, new amenities: - An small open basketball court - A fenced in basketball court with a full length court and two small courts - Two baseball fields with backstops - Movable soccer nets - A Volleyball court - A kids playground set - A couple covered picnic tables - A "deluxe" Port-a-PottyAnd they recently paved the entrance and extended the parking lot to accommodate more cars. The smaller Cottonwood Park East has one of the coolest things in town - a large walled-in roller hockey rink, with bleachers! Kind of like the one at Discovery park along Lincoln. It also has: - A baseball field with a backstop - Three covered picnic tables - A small maze for the little ones to figure out - Plenty of parking - A "deluxe" Port-a-Potty They say the parks are only for the people who belong to the Prairie Meadows HOA, but I don't think we have the money in the budget for the park police...These parks are great places to come hang out, do some grilling, take a stroll along the Cherry Creek Trail, or if you get permission, hold a company picnic. The trail meanders through both parks and has some of the best scenery the river has to offer. They're quite, not crowded at all and very clean.

Quiet neighborhood park; easy access from the trail or by car. Equipment is in good shape: swings, slides, small climbing wall, sand pit. Hoops nearby. Port a potty available.
