I have to admit I was peeved they asked for my photo ID for a day pass. I don't understand why. There's a member and a non-member price, not based on residency. The Y near my house doesn't ask and the Y I went to in NJ didn't ask so I don't understand: The water I found was on the cold side. It's Colorado and we have a short season so why not have warmer water. Maybe it's just me and maybe I'm getting old but I was freezing. There's a water slide they turn on when the wave pool isn't running and vice versa. I don't know why not both but whatever. I enjoyed the company I was with but living over an hour away means it's unlikely I will be back

This is the worst experience I've ever had at an indoor pool. In order for any child under the age of 10 to swim passed the one foot zone, they must go through a swimming test. The test is only given on the hour! We arrived at 11:20 and waited 40 minutes for our kids to get their swimming assessment. Additionally my four year old daughter was in a life jacket but I was still required to be within arms reach from her at all times. I've never been anywhere in my life that this was required. The pool is small and there are 2-3 lifeguards watching at all times, however their main job seemed to be to make sure no one was breaking any of many, many rules. We asked the staff during the mandatory 10 minute "safety" break when our kids would be seen. They told us to sit and someone would be right with us. During this time my children sat confused about why they couldn't swim. During this time the water slide opened which was only open during this 10 minute break. None of our kids could slide because they still hadn't been tested. After waiting almost the entire 10 minutes we asked a lifeguard when we'd be seen and she told us that we missed our chance and we'd have to wait another hour. I was furious! We decided to pack up and leave. Somehow this facility has managed to take allllll the fun out of swimming. My recommendation? Go somewhere else, ANYWHERE else.

Great soccer fields. Probably upwards of a couple thousand people descend upon these soccer fields every spring and fall on Saturdays and Sundays. There is one restroom for all of these people and one stall in each restroom, no doors. The women's restroom is disgusting. See pics.

I thoroughly enjoy the swim lessons here, and the friendly staff. I feel my child is always safe. I continue to have my son do swim lessons at this location as I am very pleased with the Cottonwood recreation center.

Some kids get completely ignored during swim lessons. You pay good money for the lessons and they don't seem to take kids safety seriously. We want our kids to be safer in and around the water so equal time with the instructor is absolutely a must so all the kids have any equal chanced to learn.
