Such a nostalgic place (I would assume)! I didn't grow up in the drive-in movie eras but it was an awesome experience to see what it was like. Makes you wonder why indoor theaters became so popular. We tuned into the movie on their provided radio, it wasn't too busy but enough that the energy was great, and they had some food options too. It was an easy entrance/exit and a novel experience to watch a movie with that mountain view beyond.

Fun family outing about 15 minutes from Mt Princeton. We went here last night and saw Jurassic World Dominion. Perfect night for an outdoor Drive-in. The crowd and staff were part of the ambience, and yes they have a snack bar. Noticed lots of out of state license plates, folks probably enjoying the nostalgia like ourselves. I like the traditional natural raised rows in the parking field but could be a little less friendly for low profile vehicles.Pro-tips: check days of the week and expected time for the movie to start and run time. Cost was $10 per person. We also have a newer vehicle and I could have done a better job understanding how to keep the FM radio on without the car freaking out every hour and turning the lights on and us having to turn them back off. Since the movie starts at dusk, be careful as you head back after the movie as the areas purposefully have low lighting so you can enjoy the stars. That said, check your GPS recommendations and consider the fastest option and consider the scenic for time of day with sunshine

OMG we had so much fun! Went to Cottonwood Hot Springs last October and saw this lovely place on the way. We saw The Breakfast Club there and it was so nostalgic! I am a child of the seventies and this was such a treasure to see on a big screen. I had only seen it in my sociology class at catholic school in Wyoming. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.Thank you for this!

This was my first and only drive-in theatre experience. And I loved it! We watched out of our pickup truck and it was pretty darn cool to experience what another generation used to experience regularly. I have to admit the sound was absolutely terrible - you could hear everyone else playing the audio and it echoes like crazy, like when you have two phones on loudspeaker talking to each other. We wound up shutting off our radio because it was too distracting since we were hanging out in the back of the pickup truck (we were there in the summertime obviously). I think the sound is probably fine if you're in a car with the windows rolled up rather than open.Very memorable, cool experience - everyone should go on a date at a drive-in theatre, at least once in your life! And this one was pretty rad because you're in the middle of nowhere with mountains nearby and gorgeous sunset views.

We saw Comanche on our way to San Isabel National Forest for a camping trip and we decided to check it out. Boy, did we have a lot of fun. It's an adorable, family run, old fashioned dive-in. One of my best friends has been going to this Drive in for years and she said just two years ago they changed from the old fashioned way when they had a radio that you would place on your car for sound. Now they have the wireless system and you time on via your car radio but they still have the posts with the numbers. Very cool.Movies start at 9pm. They have popcorn, candies and refreshments for sale for reasonable prices (not the jacked up movie theater prices lol). Entrance was $8. It wasn't the best BEST movie projection as there was some lighting and positioning issues at first, but after my fiancé told them about it on it they were able to fix it. He has a lot of experience w movie projection. I don't recommend going to see a movie you haven't seen as it wasn't the best quality, but the OVERALL experience is great. Great date idea!

Nostalgic! Its nice having a drive inn so close to home. However, I must say its so pricey! Almost has much as a ticket to a regular movie theater. But hey you go for the experience. The snack shack needs some love. Since they are making a killing, I am sure they can afford it. The screen is a little smaller than most drive inns. Check it out and see for yourself.

Great way to end the day. Celebrated my birthday by going to a drive in movie. We saw "Yesterday". The atmosphere was almost like a tailgate before a concert. So much fun. Snack prices were decent, bathrooms could use a little cleaning and updating.

Drive-ins are such a fun blast from our past!!Please support those few drive-in theaters that are left to enjoy. Make a special trip to Buena Vista to see a movie under the stars. Introduce your children to this fun tradition that so many of us grew up with.

It is a basic drive in, but the views around the area are fantastic. The popcorn is good and the prices are fair. Not the fault of the management, but the people the night we were there didn't understand the "no headlights" rule at the drive in. Sound projected fine through the radio and the screen is clean and easy to see.

Extremely disappointed in their recent Florida Georgia Line concert. When we bought the tickets, no where on the ticket did it say that the concert was a movie..... then when we found out this was actually the case, we asked to return the tickets due to the lack of proper advertising of the concert being virtual. I was met with a big fat NO stating that Comanche isn't responsible and will not be giving refunds. Needless to say we are frustrated that we just wasted all of that money on a ticket that was not properly labeled...
