They were very responsive to my request for them to check my property after someone was camping out. I received two follow up voicemails within about three hours. Two different staff members called to follow up with me after no other activity was reported. I really appreciate the follow up and care they took in my time of need. God bless.

I recently needed to call the Colorado Springs Police Department after receiving calls and messages from my daughter that indicated she and her children were possibly in danger. The biggest difference was that I was calling from the UK and we can't reach 911 if we hang up and call that number. Whilst it was a challenge getting through to the right extension, it only took a few moments and a gentleman named Steve answered and took my information. He listened carefully and immediately relayed the information to the proper channels and let me know that help was on the way. Everything was handled so calmly and patiently that it helped me remain calm as well...well, to the best of my ability as a worried mother and grandmother. Honestly, the miles melted away and I knew they would be all right. And they were! The problems were checked into and my daughter and her children were looked after with great care.So thank you, Steve, and all the people at the police department, the fire chief and fire crew and the ambulance team! Thank you to all of you for being the professional and caring people that you are! You are deeply appreciated!

The police in this town suck, they have all the time in the world to sit around a wait for people speeding but can't actually help people in need. I guess their quotas are more important than the people in this town. There have been times I've called to receive help due to being robbed at a job, or had friends in emergencies, had friends shot and killed. Did the cops come to my work for the robbery, no. Follow up, no. Found my friend's killer, no, because the cops are on some power trip and don't care. Do your damn jobs and help people instead of waiting around to collect money.

The Stetson hills Police department is the worst I have ever seen. The lady that answers the phone there left me on hold for over 30 minutes and then hung up and when I called back she never picked up and yet she still works there

My car was stolen and sold by my drug addicted neighbors. They have managed to find the title, forge my signature and illegally take ownership of my car. They sold MY car to fund their drug habit. Everything I owned that Mitchell Highsmith hadn't stolen was in that car including a 9mm Smith and Wesson firearm. One would think that would get SOME priority from the Colorado Springs police department. NOPE. I was asked by investigating officers to get the firearm serial number which I did, and now they are not responding to attempts to reach them. There were two officers I've spoken to. It was my neighbors, two lesbians who stole my car and firearm. They've already sold the car by forging my signature. The officer I talked to said, that isn't your signature!Well duh, because it was stolen and they quickly sold the car to I'm sure buy drugs. The car was worth $19,000 and the firearm $660. Other miscellaneous items valued at $10,000 (tools, MacBook Pro, PS4).So where is the Colorado Springs police? Guess I'll have to start calling all the donut shops in town.Mitchell Highsmith is another thief that the COS police department let get away with stuff. He did $13,000 damage to my truck breaking into to steal my laptop, PS4, wallet, credit cards and US passport. The inept COS police did nothing. I never got the money back and I lost my brand new truck because The General Insurance Company said since I had been at the hotel more than 72 hours, I would have needed Home Owners insurance. The COS police are terrible at their jobs protecting citizens and property.

Colorado Springs police department is the worst. this is the second time I had to call them for help and you wait for hours and hours and then they might show up. just remember when you need them they will not be there. it's better to just take things into your own hands.

Got pulled over by a female Colorado Springs Police officer (Badge#: 7631, Uribe, J.), at garden of the gods area, near Mcdonalds, for making a U-turn in an intersection that prohibits U-turns. Was given a ticket for doing so (cost me $111.00), Wednesday, oct.11th., while trying to get to a restaurant to eat breakfast before I started the days work, at 5:30am, of delivering meals to customers, mainly soldiers on the Fort Carson base in town. I wear my authorization to get onto the base attached to my identification card that was visible, as I seen her obviously analyzing this information via peripheral vision. I Was very tired and not in the mood to deal with an ungrateful Cop that makes illegal U-turns all day as an entitled badge thumper. I was very stoic during the whole procedure, inside the restaurants parking lot. After receiving the unnecessary ticket, I got my breakfast and parked at the next door gas station, right inside the same cops vision, as she was parked facing the same intersection, when I noticed that, as I was eating, another vehicle made the same U-turn, and this cop had the nerve to not even pull that vehicle over at all, right in front of me! Now I'm not the smartest individual, in fact, I barely know anything, but I am not blind, and neither is this so called leader of the public! This is the entitlement that these so called civil servants commit to. Wearing a badge does not authorize you to cherry pic and discriminate the public. This, like so many other incidents within scenarios of law enforcing are a perfect example of how the city, and/or state chooses these individuals to make rational, diplomatic decisions. Now if you ask me, this women, this little girl with a badge, was not diplomatic at all, but felt she needed to make herself feel more secure, but committing to such an act, right in front of me! Now kudos to the person who didn't have to pay the fine that I did this morning, but as for law enforcing, and the individuals within these departments, are a shit show! People like her, and so many who are given a position of trust, and diplomatic advisement, are a perfect example of how unstable, and/or erratic these decisions are made out in the public, and the level of reality that these people commit to on a daily! This situation was minor, compared to the situations where these so called diplomatic leaders are given lethal weapons and make the same decisions. As far as I'm concerned, and I hardly know anything, a lot of these individuals shouldn't even have the right to wear a badge, and/or be apart of an organization that should be making intelligent decisions, not for their entitled selves, but as a civil diplomatic leader that serves the public! These departments, and others like them, seem to be so desperate of hiring anyone who will pass the very light apprenticeship that these departments have, without first assessing these individuals for certain "dsm 5 TR" (i.e., Diagnostic, and statistics' manual for mental disorders), criteria, allowing practically anyone, who fits the bias like-minded criteria, of these organizations, without first thoroughly analyzing each individual to come to rational conclusions of whether these individuals, who are given positions of leadership, are fit to have such a position of trust. What gives this person, or any other individual that is like-minded, and/or worse, the right to choose which Violator gets the violation, when all day these same individuals who give out citations, and/or tickets, commit to the same violations (rhetorical question)? My take on it all, is the fact, as mentioned before, not only are these individuals miseducated from what a diplomatic position is, whether because these individuals suffer from mental delusion, and/or meet the criteria of mental disorders, for example, narcissistic personality disorder(s) via DSM-5 criteria, but also because as a society, we as a human race, have only began to understand, and scratch the surface of what the human mind is, and why, or why not, individuals do the things they do. If it is because these departments lack the important recourses to asses, and train these so called diplomats, or because these departments or low funded, and/or are desperate to fill positions, it is only obvious the system does whatever it wants, giving these troglodytes positions of trust to make very important leadership decisions. Sadly, these unethical scenarios are committed across all sectors of organizations! I take full responsibility of the unethical decisions I make, considering that I paid off my ticket, and now have to have 3 points taken of my license, but still, these entitled, narcissistic individuals will still go on committing to the atrocities they do on a daily! It is unfair, and makes these organizations of leadership look bad on a macro level. It is not all cops/officers who are miseducated but the small handful of the bad apples makes them all look very bad!

I think it's hilarious they turned off the option for anyone to leave a review on google because 100s of people were putting these useless fuckers on blast for refusing to do their job. If anything happens down here better hope you know how to handle it yourself. They will sit there in a circle jerk eating donuts before they will actually do their job. This police department is the reason Coloradans want to defund the police. If you're doing their job for them we should be getting paid tax dollars instead of them. I called the number for non emergencies and waited over ten minutes for no one to answer the phone. I call the emergency line and they tell me "oh we can't do anything you need to call the non emergency number." Someone stole my car. They did nothing. I tracked the son of a bitch down on my own using my phone. I got my shit back. With no help from the police. Keep a gun on you and handle it yourself around here. That's obviously what they want.
