Colorado Seamstress

I have never met such an amazing seamstress! She is just so extremely talented. She was able to create a keyhole back for my dress from scraps of fabric left over from my alterations. Her work is so detailed and she was able to add crystals to the lace of my dress. She is just so sweet and I love her so much.

I wish I could give Cecil more than 5 stars. From the first time I spoke with her, she was absolutely fantastic. I contacted her a few months before my wedding and asked her how long it would take for me to get an appointment, as I was told by many people that alterations could take up to 3 months. She told me that 1 month was more than enough time to get everything done and recommended waiting just in case my weight fluctuated and she wanted my gown to fit perfectly. I made an appointment with her like almost exactly one month before my wedding, came to her in house studio and had my first fitting. She lives on the west side and has an adorable studio, which was so much more comfortable and personable than being in a store. She pinned me up and we laughed and talked as she did. I also had a belt that I wasn't sure how to incorporate because it tied in a bow and looked kind of weird. She had an idea for it that she was excited about so I told her to go for it. My second fitting was like a week later, she made some minor adjustments on my hips but the dress was almost perfect already. 3 days later I picked up my dress and it looked absolutely STUNNING. My dress fits like a glove and I cannot wait to wear it to my wedding. She was very reasonably priced, too! I will be using Cecil for any alterations I need done for anything in the future. Thank you so much Cecil!!!

I can't recommend Cecil enough!! Not only is her talent incredible, she was so quick and efficient! My dress alterations were PERFECT, but she also made my removable sleeves from extra fabric from my train, she took near 100 year old lace from my grandmothers wedding dress and sewed it beautifully to help make my wedding shoes, AND took the same lace to make gorgeous hair pins for my wedding updo...she did flawless work and my mom and I couldn't recommend her enough! Thank you for everything Cecil!!

Absolutely blown away with the quality of Cecil's work. My wedding was in October and I was having issues with my backless dress gaping on the sides. She was able to fix it so beautifully with no visible areas of where she connected fabric and lace. She finished my dress with plenty of time to spare before my wedding and the pricing was more than fair for that and my bustle.

My best friend's wedding was in Colorado Springs at the Garden of the Gods resort and I was in desperate need of last-minute seamstress work for my bridesmaid's dress. I flew into Colorado Springs on Thursday, and the wedding was on Saturday. I was in absolute panic mode due to the tight timing--but the Colorado Seamstress team was able to squeeze me in to come to the rescue and save the day. I am incredibly thankful for their kindness in accommodating me and their perfect work with my dress. Highly recommend them to anyone, and cannot thank them enough.

Greatest experience! Cecil is an incredibly hard worker and is very amazing at her job. My dress seemed to be very complicated BUT she altered my dress to fit me PERFECTLY. We are so thankful:)She alters dresses for many different body types/ shapes and sizes, and she does is very well. I'm incredibly impressed by her work ethic, professionalism and kindness! I wish there were more than 5 stars. Cecil did an absolutely amazing job on altering my wedding dress. It is perfect. She is great at what she does. The bustle on my dress blew my mind. Most people would use hooks, but she did the most intricate bustle I have ever seen. I am completely amazed with how my dress turned out and will definitely recommend her to anyone that asks!
