Colorado Inn

To start this is a budget motel. My husband doesn't look for frills and found the Colorado Inn. 10 point hotel ratingI decided to establish a scale for rating hotels and motels. I apply the same scale for "luxury" hotels as well as "budget" motels as I stay in all types depending on where I am traveling and the purpose. After cleanliness there is no particular order. 1. Cleanliness. IT WAS VERY CLEAN. 2. Comfort of bed. COMFORTABLE BUT THE SHEETS WERE NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO REMAIN TUCKED IN AND HE TOOK ALL THE BLANKETS3. Comfort of pillows. Are there both firm and soft available. THEY ALL FEL SOFT WHICH I PREFER4. How new is the room decor and fixtures THE DECOR AND FURNISHING WERE OLD BUT FUNCTIONAL5. Quality of room. This includes size, temperature, smell, lighting. TINY. THE LIGHTS WERE GOOD BUT WITH OUR LUGGAGE IT WAS HARD TO MOVE AROUND6. Quality of bathroom. This includes size, lighting, ventilation. SMALL. NO FAN. GREAT WATER PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE IN THE SHOWER. 7. Bathroom amenities. These include magnifying mirror, presentation, quantity and quality of toiletries. Softness of tissue and towels. HOMEY. THE TOWELS LOOKED LIKE THEY CAME OUT OF GRANDMA'S HOUSE8. Friendliness of staff. EXCELLENT. THE HOSTESS WAS VERY FRIENDLY OFFERING SUGGESTION FOR WHERE TO GO IN THE AREA. 9. Noise. Road noise, adjacent room noise, air conditioner noise. MINIMAL10. Price. Was it worth the price I paid all things considered? This includes proximity to conferences and activities. YES. Our dinner cost more.

This place fulfilled it's purpose wonderfully! The owners were very kind and helpful. The prices were unbeatable, and the location was perfect in respect to the royal gorge. Had no problems and slept real well on the mattress

Clean, friendly, family-run place. The wi-fi worked well as did the cable tv. There was a mini-fridge but unfortunately no microwave. But I'd go again.

we stayed there Friday July 11 It a older motel but the room #1 we stayed at was top notch Clean nice beds the bathroom was a little small. But ok The owner lady was very nice and considerate.If you are ever in the area you need to stay there .Ron.

Super clean and comfy family owned inn with a super amazing and knowledgeable hostess! for my son and I, it was our home away from home even with nice extra little touches of love. Highly recommended!

The Colorado Inn is a very good place to stay ! I was there for the Royal Gorge Whitewater festival. The family running the Inn was very friendly and helpful. The room w/ queen bed, fridge, microwave was very clean. The Inn is located in town near everything. I will be staying there again.

Was in room 14 with two doubles and a twin. Room was very clean with a nice comforter as well. All mattresses were very comfortable, especially for a motel. The owner was able to check us in even an hour after checkin due to a mixup. Shower has soap and was clean as well. Recommend over any other place to stay in the city.

We visit Cañon City often and this hotel might very well be our place to stop and rest from now on. We were very impressed even though the room was small. But, it was very cozy and very very clean. I highly recommend.

Really sweet couple that runs it. Very responsive service. Clean comfortable rooms at affordable rates. Truly enjoyed my stay here!

Very poor hotel to work with. I needed a room for my son and his wife and child and they would not let me pay for the room for them. Once they learned that I would pay for the room, they all of a sudden didn't have a room anymore​. I would stay away from this hotel
