Colorado Grande Casino

On our trip to Cripple Creek Nick and I stayed at the Colorado Grande Hotel and I have to say it was a lot nicer than I expected. It feels like an old hotel that's been revamped, but kept up its 1800s charm. The room we stayed in was a suite with a very large living room, a smaller bedroom that was still big enough to hold a king-size bed, and a bathroom. I don't think there is air conditioning in the hotel, which doesn't matter temperature-wise because it doesn't get incredibly hot there, but on warm days the windows are open which can be a bit noisy. But, the bed was comfy, the bath products are nice, the location is grand, and the price is reasonable so I'd definitely be up for staying there again if we were in the area.Bonus: free parking underneath the building if you stay or gamble there!

Very small hotel and casino in Cripple Creek, Colorado. There are only 8 rooms above the casino. Maggie's Restaurant in the basement has really good food. No kids are allowed at the hotel. The hotel room does not have A/C but it does have a swamp cooler and ceiling fans. Nice flat screen TV with DirecTV in the room. You have to get ice from the bar on the casino floor. The rooms are very nice but have old fashion locks and keys which if you are security conscience may bother you. The casino is small but has ample slot machines and video poker machines. Hotel is centralized in Cripple Creek and within walking distance of everything.Very nice staff and a nice clean room. There are bigger hotels and casinos in the area, but this one is a quality hotel.

The casino itself has lots of gaming options. It's clean, smoke free and the service was good. We got a suite at the hotel which was a sitting room with desk and tv, a bedroom with a tv and a huge bathroom. The bathroom seemed recently updated and had a nice floor heater feature- I can see that being helpful in the fall, winter and spring. The room was clean and I'd stay there again if in the area.

Grave shift MOD (manager on duty) Kaylynn Silvey is a fabulous manager! Not only is she professional, she also takes proper action to ensure her employees and guests safety! In addition, Colorado Grande has such a homey feel! The staff is amazing, kind, and caring! We definitely recommend Colorado grande casino!

Always our go to casino! Small but SO FUN.. staff there are exceptionally accommodating! It centrally located and the good feeling you get there keeps me coming back

There's an employee working there as an MOD (manager on duty) graveyard shift. Her name is Kaylynn Silvey. She has now of the last 2 weeks been banning people from the casino, and reasons for it she's been using is called "Guilty by association". When they ask guilty by what association? Kaylynn won't say, she remains quiet and then threatens these people with the police and that she'll be calling them if they don't leave immediately. It's outrageous and very unprofessional, and completely unfair to the people she's doing this to especially if she's not going to tell him exactly what it is that they are guilty by associating with or who. When they've asked to speak to the manager she says she is the manager. Not too sure if she's putting this down in her night reports before she leaves or if she's being completely truthful why she's doing this or banned these people with her other coworkers either. This isn't very professional especially that these people who happened to be regular patrons at this place to spend their money. If I was these people I would ask to see the video cameras or at least talk to the Department of Colorado gaming officials asking them to do a surveillance review. It's upsetting because this is a place I frequent and enjoy playing out but I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere, I really don't want to end up being the next person who is banned from this fine establishment based only on a vague reason why and without a surveillance review being done......

Colorado Grande was the most disappointing place I've been in a long time. The entire staff was so rude I wanted to leave immediately. I thought casinos are supposed to be the best place to go for customer service. After all, they are taking my hard earned money. They could at least Take my money and treat me with some common decency and respect, but we were given the opposite treatment. The "greeter" made it completely obvious that we would never go to Colorado Grande again. So I will conclude, if you are going to Cripple Creek, avoid the Colorado Grande. Go ANYWHERE else and you will have a great time.

The restaurant served uncooked food. I handed my server a frozen fri that was my plate with other frozen fries. The toilet in room 5 was running all night. I did shake the handle. This is uncalled for. This was a gift to me and didn't enjoy the hotel at all. Im staying in room 5 so maybe the ghosts will come out. Yup the hotel is haunted. So they say. Staff was just ok. The girl that sat us at our table tossed the menu on the table, she was upset because I wanted a different table. The price was just ok. And I had to call someone in to fix my TV. This gift was not what I expected. To say I'm unhappy is a understatement.Contact me manager and make my wrong right. You have my e mail. Yolanda Buchanan

Cute little hotel ..... but wow the bed in the room be prepared for a rough nite sleep

Never again. A friend reserved a room for us for Christmas from Afghanistan. I contacted the casino to verify the reservation and payment and was assured that it was taken care of. Upon arrival at the hotel they told us that it was not paid and that we would need to pay for it by a very rude counter person. We left and found another GREAT hotel. Then, to top it off, they claim that we did indeed check into the room and are charging our friend (US Army Soldier) for a late cancellation fee. Will NEVER step foot in this establishment again and would encourage others to leave it alone as well.
