We eat ice cream (and custard and gelato) all around the world - and this was one of the worst. We really don't understand all the rave reviews????To give it context - Handels Ice Cream is our #1. Often many farm stops have been outstanding. Sometimes things we try are okay, or different, but this was truly tasteless - how could they all almost taste the same with only a hint of difference?!! We want to be able to discern a flavor with our eyes closed - - NOT these. My hubby and I tried 4 flavors - they almost all tasted the same. The coconut had no coconut on it, nor real flavor. The Rocky road chocolate was blah, not very strong chocolate. The raspberry chip was very minimally some berry hint. The old country vanilla was very icy and it did not have a strong vanilla flavor, almost none, just cold. ALL very disappointing!!!FIRST I THREW AWAY the "non"-coconut. And then after some bites of the Rocky road I just gave up and decided to save the calories and throw it away, too. And at $10 for my 2 scoops - that was a crime. There were only two young ladies working and I wasn't going to be difficult and demand money back - - but, if you go and have read my review, then you've been warned and only have yourself to blame.I know our review is contrary, but I don't know what these people reviewing think is good ice cream (maybe store brand - but, even those are often very flavorful). What a waste of time to drive there, to pay and to disappoint.

We ate Colorado City Creamery In Manitou Springs. It is located inside of the Mountain High Sportswear store. The ice cream was so creamy and delicious...yummy flavors. You can try the flavors before choosing. Large servings and reasonable prices.

After taking a night, stroll down Old Colorado City, we stopped to get a sweet treat! I'm so happy with how late they are open on a warm summer night. They were packed, but the employees were taking it with stride and still had great attitudes at 9pm. I tried a few flavors, and they had so many flavors that it was hard to pick just one, but the cherry flavor was just divine!I will need to return to try more of the flavors, very unique pairings!

We arrived late one night, just before they were closing. Staff was friendly and we were all able to choose what we wanted. Only the Pikes Peak flavor was empty. A little earlier and we would have been there before the sundae bar closed. I guess we'll have to return. LOL

This was the closest ice cream shop when we were walking down Old City. There are seats indoors and a couple of seats outdoors with umbrellas. Most people here are in line for ice cream. They charge the ice cream by weight regardless of you buy it in a cone or cup. They're pretty quick and fast. It's a small location so it does get crowded when it's busy and a warm day.I ordered the dulce de leche and cake batter. The ice cream was really creamy and the scoops they give you are quite big. I was happy with my order and don't have any real complaints about it.

This creamery is just adorbs! You could spot their bright yellow building from a mile away! Well, at least I did. I was walking around downtown Colorado Springs and saw their cute little building with a line out the door. When I saw that it was a creamery, I knew that I had to try it. I'm not really one to wait in long lines, but when I'm on vacation, my patience is a lot higher than usual. Plus, when the line is out the door, that's usually a good indication that a place is good. I hopped in line and surprisingly, it moved pretty quickly. They had the inside area closed due to COVID, but they have several patio tables in front which seemed to be popular with the crowds. It was a hot ass day, so it made total sense. Inside has a retro kind of setup and vibe. Most of the flavors are classic favorites which is nice since so many creameries nowadays have all of these new inventive flavors. Nothing wrong with that of course, but it's just nice to see a creamery operate in an old fashioned kind of way.Ended up with a scoop of one of my all-time favorite ice cream flavors; Pralines n' cream on a sugar cone. I could tell that the ice cream was going to be super creamy just from looking at it. I was right. Very creamy and delicious. They gave me a nice sized scoop too. The staff was very friendly and all were working hard to push the line. Seems like a lot of locals love this place too. I witnessed a few local families coming in who mentioned that this was their favorite ice cream shop. Will definitely be coming back when I'm visiting the area again.

After a hot day of seeing the sights, we decided on some ice cream. She had seen this place before so we stopped in. The cool air conditioning was awesome. The servers cheerful attitudes even better. They sell ice cream by weight, which is interesting, and in a variety of cones or in a bowl. Of course I had to have a sprinkle cone and chocolate. Supposedly their regular chocolate is the most popular of the chocolate flavors. Can't remember what flavor he picked but he had it in a waffle cone. They have a sundae bar with toppings for their sundaes or banana splits. It was cool. The ice cream was rich and creamy with lots of flavor. Definitely must do on a hot day. They also had ice cream sandwiches with ice cream between two cookies. Looked really tasty. And their restroom was clean so that was another plus. We will have to visit them again.

Lived here years ago and came back for a visit. Looked forward to stopping in when shopping in Old Colorado City and not disappointed. Have a good selection of flavors, try some samples if uncertain. Really love how creamy the ice cream is for hard ice cream. Definitely support this long standing local business.

Ice cream was good! It wasn't anything exceptional in my view, but it wasn't bad. They have a couple unique flavors so that's always good to see, but for the most part just the standard flavors you would expect an ice cream shop to carry. Their location is great, nestled right in the heart of Old Colorado city. When we were there, service was... respectfully, average at best. But that's okay! What really matters is the ice cream! That said, we got there around 8pm and they closed at 10pm, and they were totally out of waffle cones already and we were told they were not going to have any more. That seems a little odd to me on a weekend night, particularly when there is a constant flow of customers coming in.FYI, there is a parking lot around back!! Street parking on weekends is not always the easiest, so that is super nice.

This is a good Creamery and they have a very unique feature. If you order an ice cream sundae, they have a self serve sundae bar to add your toppings. This Creamery has a wide selection of flavors, but the service was average. My server did not have a very good attitude but provided decent service. Overall, this Creamery had great ice cream.
