Coffee Depot

This is, for all intents and purposes, a Dazbog coffee shop. If you live in Denver, you know that means dark-roasted, heavy-handed coffee that can come off as over-roasted. It's how they do it and not a reflection of the staff. It is a reflection of how Dazbog roasts. The shop is located on the south end of town in a cute cabin themed space with some great old pictures of the local area. I've always had perfectly adequate service here, and I will occasionally stop in for a latte, even knowing what I'm getting from their choice of beans. However, I would not order an espresso by itself or a drip coffee.

The food was delicious and the lattes were got were delicious. The 3 stars is for the service. I have never felt more like an inconvenience for ordering. The coffee shop itself is very cute but again the people working there were so rude.

Did the ownership change?Service this year was very different from previous trips. Staff wasn't friendly and seemed unhappy. Lattes were horrible, over steamed burnt milk that left you with a drink that you couldn't touch to your mouth for several minutes, and a predominantly burnt flavor from over-roasted, probably stale coffee.You know it's bad when you immediately yelp other cafes and toss your $12 worth of coffee in the trash.

Amazing food and coffee! I got a breakfast sandwich and a white peppermint mocha and it is the best food and coffee I've had in a while. If you want a good breakfast or brunch spot then definitely check out this place!! The staff is really kind and it feels nice and homey.

The breakfast burrito was not good. The middle was cold. I Would not recommend getting that item. The staff was nice. Service was quick.

Burnt espresso and poor service. Owner: get in there and train staff how to make coffee. Not just a latte with 14oz of milk to cover the burnt flavor.

Stopped here on the way back from La Francaise (see review as to why we didn't get coffee there) to grab some coffee, lattes and cold brew. Overall the coffee was good and hot. The latte choices were interesting and we ended up grabbing two specialty lattes. We didn't yelp before stopping in but I agree with others that the staff (owners?) come across as distant and not engaging, but honestly, I don't mind that in the morning. I wouldn't go out of my way for this cute little shop on Main Street but if you are nearby and want something better than burnt Starbucks, this place will do.

Would've given this place a few more stars had the service not been so poor. The barista was rude and all I asked was if my drink was ready. After telling me she made it wrong, she proceeded to make drink for orders after mine. Then once I picked this drink up, having no clue if it's mine...she goes "yeah, it's labeled"...except it's not. Doesn't take much to be kind and respectful y'all.

The cashier was rude in taking my order and misheard me (understandable since it was a little loud in there), but when I got my order and told him it wasn't right, he insisted I was the one who was in the wrong and I had ordered the wrong thing. He wouldn't let me fix my drink without paying extra. I love going to local coffee shops in Breck because of their chill vibe, but not this one.

It was a bummer - the service was unfriendly and the people just sat on their phones. They got our order wrong too. I'd go somewhere else!
