Clear Creek Trail & Water Park

Only in Golden, Colorado can you go white water rafting right in town. The Clear Creek Trail and Water Park runs along Clear Creek from downtown Golden back upstream. The are a number of places in Golden that rent the giant inner tubes and many folks bring their own. There was an almost constant stream of "tubers" walking back upstream from downtown Golden.We didn't try the white water but we did enjoy the park and the trail.Only downside is finding parking on the weekend. This area is quite popular and parking is tight.

Pretty trail that is paved, has a couple bridges, and lots of nice shade with great views of the creek. Nice walk after a meal in golden or if you just want to walk outside for some fresh air without driving too far into the mountains. Pretty crowded on weekends.

Clear Creek TrailCity of Golden, 911 10th St, Golden, CO 80401We parked at the Clear creek Parking lot in Golden. This trailhead has a restroom at the parking lot. This trail was in the city with ponds neighborhood vibe. So, we brought our road bikes. It was a very smooth concrete path. This was a fun ride. There are many spots to stop out for a break. Overall, it was a Great Bike DAY!

Explored Clear Creek in the winter season, and it was truly stunning. The snow added a unique charm to the surroundings. The trail, pleasantly uncrowded, allows for a peaceful walk alongside the crystal-clear water. Trail is well-kept and very clean.

Many more photos to come! I've walked Clear Creek Trail during different times of day. It's a little dark at night but feels relatively safe. The flowing creek water makes the area feels serene, and it's fitting for all types of groups. There's a slide for kids, water tubing for adventurists, art sculptures for enthusiasts, and so much more. Several options for shopping and dining nearby. Parking is pretty easy. Clear Creek runs through downtown Golden. People sometimes go rafting, tubing, and kayaking in this creek. There's a trail that runs alongside it--you can get to this trail through any of the parks that are situated next to the creek. Signs in the area warn that the creek sometimes floods and becomes dangerous.
