Clear Creek History Park

Pretty walk and area around golden. It's fun to take a short walk around the outdoor museum. There are chicken sometimes.

What an adorable little town. So much to do here and everyone is so friendly. We packed a picnic and went up to Buffalo Bills to eat lunch. It's maybe 15 min up the mountain. This place also has the freshest Coors in town. We loved exploring the historic structures and playing at the creek. We loved this town so much. It's a place I'd want to live for sure.

This place would be GREAT for kids. They have a one-room schoolhouse, a blacksmith, some farm animals, an heirloom garden, and friendly, interactive docents. It's right by the Astor House Museum, so you can do both in one day and get a feel of the high life and the workingman's experience. It wasn't my favorite place to visit during my trip, but I enjoyed the chickens, if nothing else!

We love this park and we're so glad that it's here but the reason I give this three stars is because the people who work/volunteer here are very unfriendly. Except for the very nice Asian man everyone that we have met has been a very unfriendly ambassador for our city.
