Even though City Market is a small town grocery store and their space and selection is limited, they are part of the Kroger family and their quality is wonderful. I can still usually find what I want, the staff are very friendly, and other customers are as well. I also like the quality of the food and materials I get compared to the price I pay. Plus with their coupons, shopper card, fuel discount down the road at Loaf a& Jug, etc. it's well worth the money to shop here. The only issue I've had is having to bag my own groceries when I have a big load and no one shows up to bag. That's frustrating. I also wish they would rent the vacant space next door and expand but I know that's wishful thinking.

Store is old and run down. Looks like the interior hasn't been updated literally for decades. While the shopping center owners have put on a new facade on the exterior, it's like lipstick on a pig. And don't get me started on the parking lot. It has been restriped a couple of times but the problem is that the old stripes weren't sandblasted off, they just created new ones in a completely different configuration. Now no one really knows what the correct set of stripes is and just park anywhere. Produce is just ok and meats are often missing or limited when I go for something but maybe I go at a bad time, which is now rarely. I just don't get how this store rates as high or better than the other two in town but who knows? Id like to see them invest in an interior upgrade and make the property manager fix the parking lot CORRECTLY before they get my regular business.

I've yet to see a non-service animal here like the dozens I see while working at Walmart. I'll keep shopping here until I do. Then I'll find a place that upholds the state law of no pets in the store much less in the grocery carts. BTW I love pets just not where I buy food

I really hate to leave poor reviews, but I really need to make it known that this City Market is horrible. I shop here usually once a week and the customer service is hit or miss. The reason why I am writing this review is because I came shopping here last night at 9:20pm. The store closes at 10pm. I had a cart jam packed with groceries. While walking to check out, I noticed that there were NO lanes open, so I had to self checkout. Normally, I do not mind doing self check out- however, with over $150 worth of groceries, it was extremely inconvenient and difficult. Not only were there no registers open, but there were 3 employees standing at customer service chatting. Not once did they look at me or say anything. Absolutely unacceptable. I will be taking my business to Safeway.

This store is very small, but all things considered I find they have a better selection than you might expect. They do run sales regularly, and they always have specials if you have a City Market card. The fuel point discount at Loaf & Jug is awesome, and the cashier will always let you know where you are with points at checkout.I really love their produce section- very fresh fruit and veggies, and often it's locally grown. Prices for produce are often less expensive than Walmart, which is great. The bakery is awesome, it's become our go-to for birthday cakes in recent years. They have a great catalog of design options, but they will do something custom if you inquire. This store also has a floral department and pharmacy, as well.It can get ridiculous and difficult to maneuver in here, particularly when the tourists swoop in during the summer months. But, it's a great store and the staff are phenomenal and super friendly. I've been greeted warmly by the same employees since we first moved to Woodland Park 7 years ago- I think that speaks volumes.

As others here have noted, City Market is old, relatively small, and the parking can be a challenge. However, I'm inclined to drive past the other, bigger supermarket in town to come here. Three things: the produce department is better, the meat department is better, and the customer service is way better. I never fail to have somebody greet me and ask if I need help. Call me old fashioned, but a smile and a kind word are nice. You rarely get that at the other store. But it's the fresh produce and good selection that seal the deal for me.

It's small, so it's quick. They somehow seem to have everything my family of 9 needs. The staff is ultra friendly. I always see friends there. My kids love it. They give me every reason to shop there instead of Safeway and Walmart. Oh, and I appreciate the gas points that accumulate and I often get $.30 to $.70 per gallon off my gas at City Market as a result of being loyal to City Market (which is Kroger for you eastern folk).

Changed their pharmacy hours with little notice to customers. Now, my wife has medications sitting there that we can't even get because of my work schedule and we didn't even have enough notice to change pharmacies. ALL Kroger stores, everywhere, have lost my business.

FINALLY a grocery store that is making an effort to uphold the CO law regarding service animals. I made the switch to City Market after meeting a Teller Public Health employee at the Farmer's Market who told me that City Market has posted signs warning people about bringing their animals into the store. I haven't observed any other store in Woodland or in the Springs that has had the courage to do this. Most are too afraid of offending people who are misrepresenting their "comfort animals" as service animals, so the rest of their customers get to enjoy their food with a side of Fido's fleas and feces. I've seen, on too many occasions to count, people giving their dog a ride in the cart - right where the next shopper will be placing their cinnamon buns. How lovely. How about bringing your comfort blankie next time and leaving your animal at home.Thank you, City Market Management!!
