Great liquor store in the area. Friendly staff. Found a great sampling of snow capped ciders. They were hiding around the corner in a fridge. Fun selection of airplane sizes by the register. Love sample sizes!Nicely laid out with plenty of room for a shopping cart.

City liquorsJosh & Walker were absolutely awesome, they gave us the kind of attention that we need when we walk into a liquor store, LOL, seriously they were great. Lots of choices a lot of fun stuff to look at and great suggestions. We WOULD go back.

If you're staying in/around Breckenridge, City Liquors is pretty much the only game in town when it comes to good beer/liquor selection at decent prices. Had it not been for the creepers working here staring me up and down like I was a second rate citizen, I'd have probably rated them higher. My friend and I came here and picked out a 750ml Smirnoff for $14 and a 750ml flavored Bacardi rum for $16, but when it came time to pay, not only did they make me remove my ID from my wallet, but they damn near snapped it in half while "inspecting" it.From experience checking IDs while bartending, there are plenty of state IDs that look like the library cards my high school gave out like ten years ago. That being said, I'm 29 with an enhanced NYS ID....not only does the thing have an RF chip and a land/cruise passport baked into it, but my damn ID has a friggin' hologram running horizontally across it. That didn't stop this nut job from checking it for a good 20 seconds before completing the transaction. I sarcastically asked him if it was the first time he's seen this kind of NYS ID, and he snapped back that he's seen plenty of them. He practically folded the thing in half to "ensure its authenticity" ...had it snapped regardless, I'd have a tough time explaining that to TSA and boarding my flight out of Colorado....jeez!For what they do - selling liquor and beer - they do it well. I guess a lot of underage kids must come in here, so be prepared with everything short of a DNA sample when it comes time to actually buy something...

Customer service is literally appalling. I went in with my boyfriend to buy 4 cases of wine for a dinner event, so a pretty large order. When I go up to pay, they ask for my boyfriends ID too, completely normal. He said he forgot his wallet in the car so he runs out to get it, I apologize and say he'll just be a second. Then the guy behind the cash wrap says don't even bother. Why don't you go try a gas station and not bring your boyfriend. Seriously? So rude and so uncalled for. Will definitely be taking my order elsewhere.

Staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. When I checked out, the cashier tried to confiscate my Oklahoma id because, "your id is a really bad fake." After offering to call the police, he had another look at it for about 10 minutes under the counter. Zero apologies other than, "I'm just doing my job." He continued to act hostile as if I was inconveniencing him. They also forgot to give me my receipt. When I called the store asking for the total over the phone, the same employee said "No way I'm giving you your receipt over the phone." Had to call back two more times. Go to different local liquor store with actual customer service.

Took my real I.D. from California. This place needs to be shut down. Worker took my ID to the back and disappeared with it.

I'm not one to leave reviews but I was honestly appalled by the lack of customer service. If you have a question be ready to be answered sarcastically.

My daughter is having a rehearsal party so I called city liquors. I asked if they have kegs of beer. He said yes, it had to be special ordered. Then I told him how many people we were having and asked how much he suggested I get. His answer was " I don't know how much you should get. So I asked him how many beers in a keg or half keg. His answer to that was google it. Terrible customer service

City Liquor personnel was the rudest retail person I've ever dealt with. There are plenty of other liquor stores in Breckenridge and would recommend any establishment other than City Liquor!!

These guys are on an insane power trip not serving people bc they accidentally walk into their wide open walk-in fridge that they have a 3 millimeter employees only sign over. imagine berating a customer in your store that is only interested in giving you money. after going to the register this dingus insisted on checking my id after his coworker had given it back to me and then proceeded to act like it was the first out of state id he'd seen in his entire life. sorry bro i don't carry additional forms of identification other than my state issued drivers license. after doing his own research and not being able to come to the conclusion that my id was real he decided not to serve me. congrats bro you got me, i was thinking bout you for the whole 2 min walk to the city market grocery store that had better selection and cheaper prices. biggest clowns in breck
