Ladybug accepts The Foreigner.
The crickets carry off the egg.
The contortionist spider was beautiful to watch.
The firefly had lightning fast hands using up to three diabolos on one string.
These fleas didn't make me itch.
Taken before the show started. Big egg and the crowd. =D
The artist performing the slackwire act made everything look effortless.

I am a big fan of Cirque du Soleil, and never miss a show when they are in the Denver area where I know live. As always, the costumes and acrobatics where great, but it seemed too much time was spent with clownish acts that dragged for way longer than usual. My biggest complaint though is that they always have a live band and a main singer that adds a LOT to the overall experience and these were replaced by a recording. I don't know if it's because we were at the Budweiser Center in Loveland (although it would make no sense as I have seen a few of them in different arenas, as well as their chapiteau). There is always an act with clowns before the start, while you wait, and that one was also scratched. Lastly, during the previous performances I've been to (maybe a dozen of them), you have to look around as stuff is happening above and around the stage, and that was missing.I don't know if it's because of Covid and they are trying to save money and get back on their feet, or if they didn't bother because of the smaller venue. In any case, it was a big disappointment, these tickets are not cheap (same price as Denver) and when you are used to the high standards of Cirque du Soleil, this was a very bad surprise. Like a cheaper version of the regular shows I am used to, but with the same high price tag.I hope this is not the new trend.

It is a kids show... They should advertise it as such. Cheesy costumes, kid comedy like falling down and farting... I did notice the kids around me were quite bored and wanted to leave or go to sleep. This is NOT a show for adults. Very disappointed that Cirque is diluting its brand. I would not recommend this show...not worth the ticket price. It REALLY pales in comparison to other Cirque shows I have seen. One other important aspect is that the seating is extremely uncomfortable for anybody over 5'7". Worse than an airline...knees against the seat in front of you, and the chairs are super narrow, which makes getting up almost impossible... (I have a 36" waist). Everybody was mentioning this...

The show might've been amazing, I don't know. Their phone policy is disgraceful to the art. Everybody and their mother has the phone at full brightness, blinding the people behind them. They let people into the show 15 minutes after start time, interrupting the guests viewing experience. It was a shit show and the artists performing deserve so much better. I was in orchestra row NN and it was that bad. I can only imagine what it was like behind me.

Yes! Now THIS is the type of show that got me obsessed with Cirque Du Soleil. The last show that I had seen before this one was Toruk, which was based on James Cameron's movie Avatar. It was a complete and utter disappointment in every aspect. What a way to rebound! Ovo is the 14th unique Cirque show that I have seen and it had everything that I have come to love and expect from Cirque Du Soleil. There were feats of strength, skill, and artistry set to music that ranged from hauntingly beautiful to downright silly. The theme of the show revolves around an insect world. There are so many memorable characters that you witness. The sassy ladybug, the high flying crickets, the silly ants, and the other bugs comprise a varied insect kingdom. Some of the most memorable acts:Ants - They start off with Chinese foot juggling with items painted to look like food. Then they advance to Icarian Games where they are juggling each other. So humorous and entertaining.Flying couple - A man and woman are continuously sent flying into the air being pulled up by straps they are holding on to. This act actually kept making me cringe because they had no net and would have been seriously hurt if they would have lost their grip. Aerial cradle - A couple of huge guys were attached to scaffolding high above and flung the ladies airborne to other sections of the scaffolding. Breathtaking!Contortion - The name of the song that plays during this act is called "sexy web". These spiders might get me to reconsider my hatred of arachnids.Diabolos - I first saw these in La Nouba, but this solo artist was doing tricks with them I had never seen before. I'm still trying to figure out how he was able to release one stick and have it fling around him while the diabolo stayed on the string.Power track - Crickets come powering out of the stage tumbling on a long trampoline while other crickets fall from the top of a high wall onto trampolines. What a finale! The soundtrack was an instant purchase for me. It's interesting to read how the musical composer used Brazilian music as a heavy influence. The music doesn't sound anything like other Cirque shows that I've seen. Some of the music is insanely catchy and gets stuck in my head for days when I hear it.I left the arena with a smile on my face excited to see the next Cirque creation!

The circus was really good, and so was the music. However, there were some acts that were not easy for me to see. I am legally blind and have contacts with the national federation of the blind. (NFB) and accessibility is important. What would have made the experience better for me would be monitors on the side of the stage.

Its a post pandemic production with same ticket pricing... Low budget old 2009 OVO re-production. Limited stunts, easy for them to accommodate small venues. Great for kids, but so is the country fair or zoo for 10% of the cost.

I don't normally leave reviews but I wouldn't waste your time or money on Ovo. I love cirque du soleil and the acts were great but the storyline made no sense and felt kind of out of place. We went for my boyfriends birthday and we're both disappointed that this is how we celebrated.

I was before at TOTEM show in 2019 and was amazing. However OVO didn't impressed me now in 2023, there wasn't anything new, it was all very basic entertainment (almost just for kids) and the "two hours Show" were just boring. I even realised that a few people next to me didn't stay for the 2° part after the break of 20 minutes. Merchandising was everywhere though and quite expensive.I felt I paid 74€/person for nothing. I couldn't actually believe that it was going to end like that. Main parts of the show in the promotional videos on YouTube were not shown at OVO, which I felt also defrauded due to that.Money was not worth and I guess I will not buy tickets for next shows.
