Chiltepin Mexican Grill

Went back today to get more things after the great birria quesadilla last time! Ordered the birria tacos with no onions, cause I can't handle the smell. My wife went over it three times with them. Halfway home we smelled the onions. It was all covered in onions and no cilantro. Had to toss everything.

Tried out this new mexican cuisine spot in my neck of the woods since it was new. Got Carne Fries, chicken quesadillas, grilled chicken bowl, Chips and guac, and Birria tacos ( my fave). Tbh I felt the Birria meat was bland-no seasonings and not even salt in there. Kids and hubby had the other stuff and said they were okay. The guacamole was bland as well. But of course they packed their red and green sauce which were great. Be careful with the red sauce-it packs heat right away but doesn't linger which is good, most likely made with chiltepin peppers as this is the name of the place. It was overall a great experience thru the drive thru but I feel the food just lacked flavor. I don't know I like salt and garlic, so don't let my opinion deter you from trying out this place. I also felt I could've gotten all that I ordered for half what I paid. Receipt in pics. Again, go try it out and support your local businesses. I personally don't think I will go again unless they up the salt and garlic in the meat.

Tried for the first time and can't believe I waited so long to try! It's right around the corner from my house, I ordered a lot of food so I could have a meal for leftovers and the portion sizes are HUGE so I ended up with enough leftovers for a couple meals! So good. The birria quesadilla was so flavorful and enough to feed 2 people. Will definitely be back and can't wait to try more of the food.

This is literally my favorite mexican place in the springs!! Everything I have ordered is so delicious! The breakfast burrito has the perfect amount of eggs, cheese, and protein! The birria tacos (I usually get the quesa tacos aka quesabirria) They come with consome but In all honesty the meat is so juice you don't even need the consome but it's so flavorful! The cochinita tacos OMMGGGG. They are perfectly seasoned and I've never tasted cochinita tacos like those in the springs! And their pickled onions are so good too! Service is also good! Everyone has always been so helpful!

Prices are outrageous. Almost 5 dollars for a normal taco. Limited menu, not extremely interesting.

This place is a must, especially of you love Birria and you have to try the Peruvian beans! Portions are very large, definitely worth the price!
