My dog advised me to leave a review for his favorite place in the world, how could I deny him this? I love bringing my dogs here, not only because of the vast amount of space for them to roam, but also for the little training areas they have that provide the perfect amounts of varied enrichment. I appreciate that the park is always maintained. This place is always packed on the weekends but the park has a few entrances as well that make it easier for my reactive dogs to enter. Get the annual pass, it is definitely worth it!

We had the best time with our dog today! It was a gorgeous day to go for a walk and to let our dog play in the tall grass, mud and water! They have lots of dog bag stations which is great! We love all the agility type "toys" for your dogs. Our dogs favorite was the mud and water of course - so be prepared and bring towels! Haha We love visiting this dog park! Thanks Cherry Creak!

I'm a big fan of this off leash dog area, and will make the drive even though it's across town. It's huge and has lots of great trails as well as a creek for wading and , of course, massive ball tosses for my water loving pup. You need to bring water for your fog to drink, however, and the lines to get in on weekend mornings can be discouraging.

Camping! Loved our site. The campsites are large with full hook ups. You are right in the middle of so much action. Yet, you're able to enjoy a wonderful natural habitat that Cherry Creek has to offer.

I will take pictures next time because I'm definitely coming back but holy smokes this place is what I envisioned dog heaven to look like. HUGE area with a stream once you wander around enough. Tons of dogs exploring without leashes and dogs happily swimming and playing together. Owners can easily get a good hike/walk out of half a loop of this place. Worth every penny to enter. My dog definitely approves as well. Paws up!

Having heard so many great things about the off leash dog area at Cherry Creek State Park, I was excited to go check it out for myself. So with my Boston Terrier, Nibbler, in tow we met up with another friend and her Frenchie to see what all the fuss was about. THE PARK: I was pleasantly surprised to find that even in the height of the summer heat, there was plenty of water flowing in the creek. My water loving girl loved it. She had a blast doing drive by zoomies and splashing my friend's dog. The walking path is well maintained, though we chose to take off our shoes and walk in the creek. It was nice to see that visitors were cleaning up after their pups. Yay!THE PUPS: For the most part, everyone's dogs were well-behaved and listened to their owners. I appreciate that. Having a smaller dog, I get a little apprehensive of the bigger dogs. THE COST: It's $11 per vehicle and $3 to go to the off leash dog area. Yeah, it's a little pricey, but if you have a state park pass it will quickly pay for itself. The off leash dog area at Cherry Creek State Park made for a great way to spend the day with my friend and our pups. While it's not the most convenient place for me to take my girl, I wouldn't hesitate to make my way back for another girls and pups day.

Love this park! So big with plenty of room for dogs to run. My dogs love the water and could play forever. Trail around park is almost 3 miles so good exercise for dogs and humans. Important things:Always watch your dog and know where they are at all times! So many people come here just to exercise themselves and don't pay attention to their dog. Always pick up your dogs poop! There are plenty of trash cans and poop bags throughout the park. There are 2 entrance gates into park and 1 exit gate. Please abide by this simple rule. It makes coming and going with your dogs easier for all.Don't let your dog run through the parking lot off leash, there are too many cars driving through and could easily hit your dog.Mornings are super busy, especially in the summer and on weekends. You will have to wait in line if you get there past 9am. Get a Colorado State Parks pass specifically with the dog park pass.

Wow!! This dog space is nothing short of amazing. The price may seem 'pricey' if you have not invested in an annual state dog park pass. (So worth the investment) between this park and Chatfeild alone it is beyond worth the value. Back to Cherry Creek... you amble down a dusty path and finally come to the creek. You will have climb or find a sandy path leading down to the creek side. Dogs are playing in the water, meeting one another. Folks are sitting in the sand just watching their dogs. There are trees covering so shade is great. Folks are in the creek walking alongside. It is just a calm, serene place to go. And a great walk if you walk the perimeter. A horse dance surrounds one side.

Absolutely unbeatable! Walk to the back and you'll find the perfect shade and running water, stay and walk the trail and there's so much fun for the dogs to experience. Worth every moment and every penny.

Fabulous place for dogs to interact with each other and play in a wild environment as well as swim in streams and run around a huge area. I will caution everybody to be extremely aware that not everybody's pets are well trained, and some are actually downright rude. it's also really sad to see some of the pet owners be absolutely careless with their dogs and allow them to poop without picking it up and let them run around and be mean to other dogs. Use at your own risk.
