I'm obsessed with this place! Such an amazing walk area for dogs to be off leash. The fee is a bit annoying but I understand it's a state park. Beautiful views, great path and well behaved dogs at this park.

We had the best day here!! Chatfield is such an incredible state park! The dog park has the best "swimming hole" for dogs. And... if you forget your own balls/toys there are plenty to be found! We just always recommend leaving them for the next "gang" or even bringing extras for the dogs! Our Mister Barrett has been taking a super long nap since getting home...But...we can't wait to go back!

Really nice, spacious dog park. Plenty of places to sniff, dig, run, roll and swim. Having the new pass with your plate renewal gets you in fast. Stay in the left lane for that. Next..wind around a few miles to get to the dog park depending on where you enter from. It's worth the drive. Additional fee for dog park usage. The people who frequent keep things clean. Both paved and natural paths galore. It was my first time visiting with a friend and spent a few hours walking and talking while the dogs played fetch and sniffed a few things. Was a fun day for all. Don't forget your doggie bags!!!

This dog park, in my opinion, is the best in the metro area. It's adjacent to Chatfield Reservoir and the scenery is amazing. It's safely and well gated in. There are many acres for your dog to roam and there is even a small lake for your dog to swim in. They have drinkable running water and restrooms. The parking is easy and plentiful and it's in a beautiful area of town. You do have to have a Parks Pass to get in but it's well worth the yearly purchase of a pass. This place is huge and your dog will love it. Mine sure does. My lovely bride and I often go just to walk around it ourselves. It's a beautiful place and great for photography. Lots of birds and local wildlife a well. There are a few bisexual and lesbian women's clubs that meet there to walk their dogs and socialize. Could it be more perfect?

This park may be a far drive for some people, therefore you may not want to take your dog but I promise you it is worth the drive! There is a cement path throughout the park which is almost 2 miles around. The ponds are great for the dogs to play in! Plenty of trees, shade and places for dogs to sniff, run and hunt for squirrels. Important things:Always watch your dog and know where they are at all times! So many people come here just to exercise themselves and don't pay attention to their dog. Always pick up your dogs poop! There are plenty of trash cans and poop bags throughout the park.If your dog likes water and you don't want them to get wet, do not bring them here. They WILL want to get into the water. It is unfair for the dog if you don't allow them to get wet just because you don't want them to. (Bring towels in your car). There are 2 parking lots and 2 bathrooms. There is a hook on the outside the bathrooms you can hook your dog on so you can use facilities.

This was this first 'place' we came as new residents of Colorado last year to take our dogs for a walk. In CA we never utilized dog parks (kennel cough, dogs attacking other dogs, small parks) We pulled into the parking lot and I think our dogs eyes we bigger than ours! We entered a beautifully maintained park. Clean. Folks picking up after themselves. The park was so large, dogs did not get aggressive. (In a years time, we have seen one episode of bad behavior)We strolled quietly by ourselves and wandered to a water area. There were dogs swimming. Owners trying to teach their dogs to swim, dogs just watching from the sidelines. (That would be our dogs) it was fabulous We have learned that there are long trails, short trails, paved trails, and dirt trails. It is a great place to let your doggies wander, and you just enjoy. **Be prepared, a doggy May run up and great you you!! They are very happy when here. So come and enjoy. Recommend: Buy the annual pass, then you must also buy the dog pass separately. You enter the left entrance and save $12 per visit.PS-- these passes work at other parks as well, we know for sure Cherry Creek.

Hands-down, our favorite dog park in the south suburbs! Whether it is a winter spring fall or summer, there is some thing to be enjoyed for our four-legged friends! In the summertime, the dog beach is fantastic and it is so much fun to watch the dogs run through the mini ponds and socialize! Tons of trails, views and restrooms within this location. If you're looking for a delightful beautiful visit to a dog park, definitely check this one out.

Great open park for letting the dogs play. So much better than the little neighborhood dog pens. If you love your dog(s), this is a great place to let them fun. With any dog park, the quality of the experience depends on the others there (both the dogs and their owners), so this can vary, but this place is large enough to keep some distance from the ones you don't want to engage and the dogs that don't place well with others.

Massive fenced, off-leash dog park with a couple lakes and lots of trees for shade. Our dog was exhausted after 30 minutes of running and swimming.
