We took this ride at the same time last year. It was so enjoyable we booked it again this year. Greeted by Tini the owner is a great way to start the day she has the coffee, rolls, yogurt and fruit ready for you. Shawn and Harvey were our guides and they were most excellent! From the guides local knowledge to the stories of Pikes Peak history we couldn't have had a better time. The leaves were starting to change which enhanced the beauty of the mountainside. The 4 of us were below average in biking experience. The guys fitted our bikes, helmets gave us a quick safety briefing and provided gloves, caps and vests for us to wear. It is clear they have been in the touring business for years as Every detail is taken care of for their clients. Next time we are going on the Gold Camp Road tour. Thanks for ending the ride with lunch and a glass of wine!!

Two words: BAD ASSThis is an absolute must for any outdoor enthusiast who wants to step a little out of their comfort zone! We checked this out this past weekend and it was the best time and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone! For your money you get: Breakfast, a train trip up the cog railway, bikes, all the gear you'll need, a sweet trip down the mountain, water, snacks, and lunch afterwards! It was pretty easy to book, and they were really on top of answering any questions I had by email. The staff was SO helpful and friendly and they didn't mind helping you with any silly questions you had. Maybe it was the altitude but for the life of me I had a hard time figuring out the gears on my bike (I own a cruiser with no gears so it's been awhile since I've used gears) and they were so nice and helped me the whole time. They were willing to take any pictures you needed. What I especially loved was that they had two vans following you the whole trip- 1 in the front and 1 in the back. I loved it because I could keep a backpack full of cameras, sun screen, hats and gloves in the vans and I knew I could easily access it the whole time. PRO TIP: As of 07/2017 there is a groupon for it! Search in the Colorado Springs area!

By far the most fantastic experience I had in CO Springs. Dad got our Groupons for about $60 a person. If there's one thing I can say about this company it's that THEY TAKE REAL GOOD CARE OF YOU.1.) FREE BREAKFAST: It's simple, but it does the job! They have a Keurig (definitely had to re-caffeinate since my free hotel coffee was crap), a bunch of different flavored creamers, bagels with a bunch of different spreads, fresh fruit, etc.2.) THEY PROVIDE GEAR: They have winter clothing and provide helmets. They even gave a helmet to my sister so she could mount her GoPro. We even borrowed a GoPro battery and the owner was just like, "Don't forget to return it!", no security deposit or anything. Gloves, sunblock, sunglasses. Everything you could possibly need. It's like you forgot something and are just borrowing from a nice friend!3.) GOING UP: They take you up in regular vans. We rode with Kent, who happened to be a park ranger! He showered us with knowledge of the mountain, its plants, animals, views, info about the races that occur on the road, and even some Fast and Furious 7 film location trivia!4.) SAFETY: Once we got our bikes, they gave us the whole safety rundown. How to use the gears, how to ride safely, how to deal with sand and ice on the road, how to pass, how to brake properly. They also gave us souvenir water bottles filled with water to fit on our bikes! We also were given bright safety vests and reflective ankle straps for those with baggy pants. 5.) THE RIDE DOWN: One van leads the front, people on bikes follow, one employee rides his bike with the group, and then a second van trails the group with blinkers on. I definitely felt safe on the mountain!6.) CON'T: Many stops were made down the mountain. This ensured that the group could avoid becoming separated and it allowed cars to pass. The breaks were a chance for us to shed layers, hydrate, and enjoy the surroundings. It would have been easy and fun to just speed down the mountain in one go and forget to admire everything. If anyone was uncomfortable with the steep parts, they would load your bike up on the van and let you ride in the car until the next break. We had kids in our group and they loaded the bikes up and down the van about 6 different times for them, no problem!7.) FREE LUNCH: provided by The Wines of Colorado, was at the foot of the mountain. I didn't have high expectations for a free lunch, but wow, everything was good! Veggie burger, Cheeseburger, Chicken sandwich. Drinks are included as well! Soda, tea, lemonade, water. Sister and I asked for them to make Arnold Palmers and they did it with no problem. I have never been so pleased with any other service (salon, bar, restaurant, anything) in my life. I highly recommend this tour. It's probably the best experience anyone can have of Pike's, and the cost:value is just beyond amazing. Staff was kind, friendly, outgoing. They really value safety and having fun! Don't forget to tip your guides!

Words cannot describe the amazing experience we had at Challenge Unlimited. The experience of biking down Pines Peak is absolutely worth the money. From the top: Challenge Unlimited served a pretty decent breakfast. You read "continental breakfast" and think some crappy day old baked goods and bad coffee. Not in here... Bagels, different cream cheese, fresh bananas, regular coffee and keurig coffees, plus more. The staff is friendly and willing to accommodate the ride based on the skill level of the group. When going down hill there were a few of us who liked speed and the front can was definitely going fast so we could go faster. You make several stops along the way to take pics, relax, and catch your breath. In the end, you ride down to The Wines of Colorado where you have some basic lunch.Had an absolute blast! I highly recommend it to anyone.

We loved our trip up & down Pikes Peak! The van driver told us about a variety of events on the mountain & some of it's history. All of the equipment was in excellent condition. They even had winter gear for my teenage boys who didn't believe me when I told them they'd need it! Water bottles were provided & a small snack. They stopped many times along the way to take pictures and let cars go by. They were very flexible in terms of what the riders were comfortable with doing. No rush! Lunch afterwards was good and much needed. I would definitely do this again!

I can't rave about this company enough! This should definitely be on your list of things to do, whether you're from Colorado or just visiting. 1. Breakfast is included, as is a mid-ride snack, and a lunch at the end. You also get a water bottle for the ride that you can keep as a souvenir. 2. Our two guides were great! Quinn and Jackson were personable, knowledgeable, and they made the experience so much fun. 3. They provided all the equipment we needed. Bike, helmet, gloves, warm layers, and a safety vest. Our guides were also great at explaining how to operate the bike (gears and brakes and such) and they made sure everyone was comfortable. The van that follows you down has back up bikes in case something breaks. My family opted to arrive a little later and just rode in the van up the road to the summit, but you can pay a little extra and ride the cog train up the other side of the peak. With this option you have to arrive earlier at the shop, and just be aware that the train takes over an hour to reach the top. Once you get to the top, definitely go into the gift shop and get a donut- they are a special kind that can only be made above 14,000 feet and they are delicious! We all had a great time. This is an amazing experience that I highly recommend!!

My family was visiting Colorado Springs from Philadelphia and we all had a wonderful experience. The tour guides were professional, friendly, informative and very personable. I have done this tour before with others and it's never been anything other than excellent. Many thanks to Tim and Ryan for a great experience. Tini runs a great company! I highly recommend.

My BFF and I discovered this wonderful company on groupon when visiting colorado for a weekend trip. We purchased the Pike's Peak bike tour, and soon realized that we were given an invaluable experience. Everything that this company has to offer is top notch, and absolutely perfect. We were given several safety talks and demonstrations, the guides were very knowledgable and welcoming, the equipment was high quality, the meals provided were both hearty and delicious, and they provided everything we needed (including a helmet with a go pro mount for me). We truly believe that this trip was worth much more than what we could have paid, and we will cherish the memories for a lifetime. Will go on another tour with them in a heartbeat when I return to colorado!

Amazing adventure and I would definitely do it again! Staff was extremely friendly and experienced. They were always willing to assist us and giving us tips on parts of the road that were coming up next. We took about 5-6 stops to regroups and rest. Best views and unforgettable! I went by myself and still had a blast. Everyone on my trip was very friendly.

Knowledge and super cool staff! Great equipment and they make sure you are well taken care of! Thank you so much for the great trip! Only thing I wish was different was the food at the end as I was not impressed but I'm rating this based off the biking experience, not the restaurant. Thanks again!!
