Nice little store. Not the largest selection of guitars but they have some to choose from. The service, well... they are present but not interactive or talkative. Seemed to busy to take time to visit, while I was the only customer. Nice shop, stop in and see if they have what your looking for.

Some people will think this review isn't relevant enough but I consider customer care to be very high on my list of how I evaluate businesses and restaurants. I had a need today to have one of my guitars checked for its electronics and wasn't buying anything. The person in the store (perhaps the owner) graciously hooked my guitar up to an amplifier and did a thorough check. Turns out my axe was in good shape but as I say what impressed me was the friendliness and willingness to help me out. Definitely a store worth you visiting for your musical needs.

My all time favorite place for all things music. Keaton is extremely helpful and fixed my guitar in no time. I thought it was gone for good but he quickly helped. Truly the best place around. 5/5 would recommend

My daughter has been taking piano from Castle Rockmusic for 7 years or so, and she loves it! I _had_ to take lessons growing up and quit after 2 years, but the teachers at Castle Rockmusic are inspiring and encouraging - I love that my daughter practices on her own.I took a couple of lessons there as well to get a few chops on boogie boogie piano, and Andy was great! I never felt pressured to sign up for huge packages and Andy helped me find resources to further my boogie boogie passion!I can't believe that little ole' Castle Rock has such an outstanding place for great music lessons and quality and affordable instruments! I've been a customer for more than 7 years and love that they've only grown!!!Jason (the owner) has been nothing but helpful in both my and my daughter's progression in developing a love for music. He's straight forward and won't give you the run around for anything. I'm not a fan of wishy washy or pandering, and Jason is straight-up - I always know where I stand with him, and have always felt well treated :)I wish I could give a constructive criticism, but my experience over the years with Jason and Castle Rockmusic have been great - so keep it up! :)

Prices are ok - on-par with higher prices of the growing area of Castle Rock. The instructors seem competent and friendly for the most part. If you want to move your lesson, you must do so at least 24 hrs in advance or you lose your money, which is fair. We have had multiple instructors move or cancel lessons on the same day multiple times with no recourse. The owner however, is the main reason for the low rating. He carries an air of disdain for his customers in our experience. More often than not, he's there sitting behind the register surfing the internet barely looking up to acknowledge someone entering his store. He seems bothered to have to even greet anyone with a half-grunted returned hello, and though I have been in there many, many times, he has never once shown even a hint of appreciation or customer service in return for our patronage. It's the anti-customer service approach I guess. Multiple attempts at starting a simple conversation with him while my child was in his lesson have all fizzled instantly. On your way out, unless you jump up and down at the counter, you won't even be sent away with a simple "thanks," or "see ya." This guy just sends a poor message with both verbal and non-verbal communications, which is that he's not interested in his customers beyond the money coming from your wallets. For these reasons, we pulled our child and have been scouring the internet for another teacher. How hard is it to be affable and friendly towards your customers? If there were another pro resource in town, we'd have jumped to them in a heartbeat. Just because you're the only game in town doesn't mean you get to be rude or indifferent to your customers who support your business.

I have both of my sons in music lessons here. Both teachers have been fantastic. They are both beginners and the teachers are very patient and understanding and easy to schedule with. We also purchased a guitar and a case. The case didn't fit the first time, so they ordered a new one and toll great care of us. Would recommend them for sure.

My son takes music lessons in this shop and loves it. It is easy and affordable and he has taken from various instructors. I like the flexibility of lessons structure and the employees are always helpful. They've got some cool lesson rooms too.

So, I went to purchase a violin and was directed to what seemed a well used classic piece. I am a new user and wanted to start taking lessons. The piece did not seem to sound quite right. So, I asked my son to take a look he is well trained as a violinist. The piece would not stay tuned. So, I took the piece back to the shop of help and was told its just the climate which they suggested I spend another 150.00 dollars for items to help it stay in tune. long story short i did decided to have a seasoned pro look at the piece well to my suggest I discover it a cheap imitation made in china. Its valued under 100.00 dollars I paid nearly 800.00 for mine. So, I am nearly 1000.00 into a piece not worth much. Sad I had hoped to surprise my kids that there dad who had spent thousands of dollars over the years to train them was taken for a ride by our local music shop. Good Luck buyer beware!!!!

My daughter takes guitar with Bill and he is amazing! We also really appreciate how helpful the young man at the front is all the time, explaining different guitars and equipment needed. The only two things I am bummed about: you don't get any kind of discount for buying multiple lessons or for having more than one kiddo in lessons, however, I still think the cost is more than reasonable. Also, we are on a waiting list for trumpet since the one teacher that will do in person is full....I guess that speaks to how good he must be :)
