Nicely maintained trail and lots of parking. Good for walks and biking. Not much shade but there are nice trees and great views.

Oh what a great place to adventure with the family. We love coming here with the bikes or even an early evening stroll with the bikes. It's close to home which makes it an easy place to go even after work. Do be careful with the other colorado bikers they will go fast so just keep your kids near and have fun!

This trail head to the South Platte Trail is located right near the Apsen Grove shopping area and a light rail/RTD stop. You have the option of heading south on the trail which will take you into Chatfield after a few hours, or north which follows the Platte River toward Denver. Both trails are great. The main trail is paved with gravel along the side if you want to switch it up. Plus, there are many opportunities to veer of the main trail onto weaving single track that gets you closer to the river and all of the ducks there - keeps a run a bit more interesting!

Great place to go for a walk or run. The loop is over 13 miles, and you get fantastic view of the mountains and peaceful surroundings with trees, ponds, and a nicely paved path. If you go south it connects with Chatfield reservoir. The free parking is also a bonus
