I knew the woman who started Caring & Sharing back in the 90's. Helen Nachtrieb. What a great lady and she was there all the time. They have everything for people starting out or in need.

This is one of my favorite places in Salida, they have a wonderful selection of baby and toddler stuff and all is reasonably priced. Whenever we go there my son plays with the toys while I look around and staff are very gracious and not upset at all with him touching and moving around the merchandise. And it benefits such a great community resource, definitely recommend going before buying something new and less unique or valuable

Quite good quality merchandise for the super low prices here. Fabulous community vibe inside as everyone shopping and working there seemed to know everyone else. As outsiders from out of state, we felt welcomed. I scored an adorable orange purse that garnered compliments within half an hour, and some quirky greeting cards. They seem to be undergoing a major renovation/rebuilding but at the time of my May 2018 visit the store was still operating during the construction. It just took a little more effort to find and enter the store itself. Impressive thrift store and operating for a good cause.

Extremely rude dock workers. Twice they have been rude. This past time was told clothes must be bagged. Refused to take for no other reason than laziness.

Nice merchandise with fair prices. Organized well. My only complaint is those working there weren't welcoming. I think it's important to acknowledge people visiting with a smile and hello. A "Caring" business should be friendly.
