OMG! You haven't had cookies until you've had these. I got these at work ones, and I am constantly dreaming about the next time I can have more. These cookies melted in your mouth with sugary goodness, and it is dangerous how easily I can consume them. These cookies are so good, our entire organization has a deal to order them in bulk. While I have never been inside one, I've seen them in strip malls on Colfax and Colorado, which may be the only downfall. I imagine traffic may delay you getting these cookies, but they are worth any wait.

Not sure how the cake will taste and I will add that later. The I ordered a wedding cake to be picked up at 10:30 when they open but the store hours are 10 am? I get here and then find out the cake is "coming" to this location. It will be here in a hour! Annoying on any other day but today I have a two hour drive to Estes Park for the wedding. What the hell I explained it to the girl who took my order and so I am sitting here waiting for the cake and I will miss the rehearsal for my son's wedding. If you are in need of a cake this might not be the place for you

Strawberry cupcakes and 5 star service!!! I LOVE my local Cakes by Karen. While I've never ordered a whole cake, I have bought my weight in cupcakes and brownies. The strawberry cupcakes are my absolute favorite, and must be the favorite of everyone else, because if you don't get one when they open, you definitely won't get any in the afternoon.

Everything about my experience with Cakes by Karen was absolutely amazing! I came about ordering a custom cake with only 3 days advance notice - I am also located in Austin, TX and needed the cake delivered locally to family in Aurora. I worked directly with Val and she was able to answer all of my questions over the phone, helped me design the cake (I was clueless!), took receipt of my custom image, custom messaging, and excellently crafted the creation of an excellent product! The cake itself was beautiful, delicious, and made an incredible addition to the surprise announcement.I called a few other bakeries in the area, but ultimately chose Cakes by Karen because of Val's excellent customer service skills and her assurance that their product would not only meet my expectations, but exceed all of my wants and needs - She was SO RIGHT!Thank you so much Cakes by Karen and Val for helping make our event special and memorable!

I'm not very happy. I requested a very simple cake to give to my husband as a funny vasectomy gift. The women helping me wrote down to add white sperms for the decorators. I knew the frosting would be ivory and wanted to sperms to be a bit discreet. I picked my cake up today and the sperm are black. Why would you make them black? I paid $50 for this and I really hope it tastes better than it looks. I'm so bummed and wish they would give me a refund or something.

Excellent experience at Cakes by Karen in Aurora! I appreciate Val saying yes to my ideas when other bakeries said no. The cake was so special and turned out simply BEAUTIFUL!

Amazing cakeThe cake turned out great, on time, moist and the chocolate buttercream was the best. Everyone lived it at the party and I will be back for more cakes in the future.

The 5-stars-plus service from Diana is the only reason for any stars. The cake I ordered was awful. Disappointing, disgusting taste (frosting). I ordered a 6" black forest layer cake (chocolate with whole cherries). It came covered in that fluffy, terrible tasting white stuff so common in cheap cakes. 8 maraschino cherries we're plopped around the top. It was ugly, terrible tasting and embarrassing to give someone for their birthday. Lessons learned -you can't depend on previous experience with them (20+ years for me), and if you do order from them, be very specific about what you want. I don't know if I'll ever go back.

I was highly impressed with the cake I ordered from "Cakes By Karen" for a birthday celebration. The floral decorations, immaculate cursive writing & sprinkled glitter made for a beautiful finishing touch. The taste lived up to the exterior as well; it was a hit at the party!
