"I was visitng Denver and a friend recommended this place for dim sum. We went for late lunch and while it was still very busy, we were able to get seated right away.The carts came by often so we didn't have to wait long to eat. We probably had a full array of tasty eats on our table within five minutes LOL Everything was so delicious!The flake factor of crust on their egg custard tarts are out of this world! The silky smooth custard was evenly cooked. Their recipe is on point, they sure know how to serve up excellent egg custard tarts! This was my favorite :)I thought their dim sum was great. The full carts came around in a timely fashion. Their customer service was polite and their jasmine tea really complimented everything well. Grateful for my friend bringing me here!"

"After a nice long day getting my steps in at Wash Park, I decided to treat myself to a lovely meal. A person had suggested that I'd try this place out since it was near by. I decided to take the suggestion and also it's been one of the places I've been wanting to try too along this strip. I rolled in about 2 pm on a Saturday and was quickly greeted as I walked in. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Place at this hour was not busy which was nice and peaceful. Jeremy the bar tender assisted me during my time here and was excellent with suggestions and input. Ambiance is casual. There's a bar in the back too. The music was definitely vibing. They were playing an interesting reggae mix of songs which I really dig. Wanted to make me dance with a cold cocktail in my hand. Lol I had Jeremy's cocktail suggestion, the Catalina wine mixer. It hit the spot and was so so refreshing. Just what I needed to cool off with. I did order two black berry lemon drop and that was super delicious aside from what I started with. I started off with the Maryland crab cakes. So tasty. It was decent size for two. The sauce for the crab cakes was not overwhelming and suited the crab cakes perfectly. The crab cakes were not dry, wet, fishy, or overcooked. I very much enjoyed them. I then ordered the classic lobster roll Connecticut style with a side of broccolini. The lobster roll was delicious with the extra side of butter. The lobster was cooked well, good flavor, and the bun was delicious and soft. The broccolini was cooked to perfection and still had a slight crisp to it. Yes, I finished the roll like I did the crab cakes. Lol Though dessert is not on their menu, Jeremy did verbalize that they do serve dessert. I figured since it was a leisurely day for me, I'll slowly take my time and eat as much as I could so it'll be worth a review. Lol So, I did get a key lime pie. It was smooth, light, the lime flavor was perfect, and of course i devoured that too. All I gotta say, is that, it helps to not have eaten anything and come hungry. I was able to fit all the food snuggly into my tummy. The food was delicious and did not disappoint. The service was excellent and Jeremy was very friendly. Definitely a place to come check out if you're in the area. I am definitely coming back again. Thanks for a wonderful 1st time experience."

"I really wanted to like this place but for the $$$, not really worth it. We did their Valentine's Day menu, and I am not sure if that why the food was not great. Seems to me that they did not have quality control. Yes, they do ask you to cut your steak in half to check the cook but after waiting so long, all we wanted to do is dig in. The cook on my filet was definitely hitting the med-rare I requested. My husband's ribeye was rare right in the center. Good thing he did not mind it. The ends of Ribeye definitely hit temps though. With it being so packed and ofc highly rated (on Google), I had higher expectations. I was so shocked with my first bite that the steak (filet perry 4oz) was so salty. I felt like I was drinking ocean water. Fine, its a busy day. I tried the mash potatoes that it came with..... yup salty. I am not sure what happened there. Dessert was good. Choc Crunch Tower -- tasted like the Ikea choc crunch cake if you have ever tried it. Super sweet. And you cannot go wrong with the cheesecake. Service was great! Attentive waiter, I do appreciate that. We did end up waiting over 30 mins past our reservation time which is okay since it was Valentine's Day. Cocktails -- nothing to rave about, decent. Their Berry Mule was my favIf we ever go back, I would totally try their Pork Chop. We had they "famous" pork bites and that was *chef kiss*"

"Coming on a Wednesday night for date night and we didn't need a reservation. Being from Southern California this is very decent California Mexican food (not traditional Mexican food). Love the theme of the restaurant - very beachy and reminds me of home!! They have indoor and outdoor patio seating, we were seating almost immediately. Our server was on top of it! Bringing out our drinks and food very quickly! It all tasted quick good and had delicious flavor. I did take off one star because of the the strange fees along with the lack of chips and salsa. That is pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant.Overall I would come back! 4/5 stars"

"Los Carboncitos became my favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver a few years ago & they still haven't let me down! Amazing flavor, good heat & great service. Located a couple miles outside downtown Denver off 6th & Sheridan, this location is a hidden gem in an unbecoming little stretch of businesses with ample parking. They do great takeout, but dining in is even better!The food is outta this world - so authentic & full of flavor! The chips and salsa are complimentary & so fresh, the salsa has a kick! They also bring out 4 housemade hot salsas too, I love them!! Their tacos are simple & delicious, your choice of protein on homemade corn tortillas topped with onions & cilantro. I love the carnitas, chorizo, carne asada & pollo. Their enchiladas are sooo good bc they're not smothered with too much sauce or cheese, and they grill the corn tortillas before rolling the enchiladas so it has a great grill flavor! You can get half green & half red too, yum. All in all, this Los Carboncitos spot is easily my favorite & I hope you find your way there soon bc it's incredible.. don't limit yourself to Taco Tuesday bc the tacos every day at Los Carboncitos are fire!"

"First time to Eddy V's and certainly will not be our last! Everything from the moment we walked in to our departure was on-point and amazing! Once seated (by the Manager) we were ask if the night was for any occasion, at which we replied it was a "Make-up Valentine's Day as we had been sick the week prior." He returned with a handful of rose petals and neatly decorated our table to spell a 'V.' Our server, Alyssa was top notch. She never missed a beat with listening, offering, and being sure that we always had any and everything we wanted. The drinks not only were good quality and mixture, but presented beautifully too. The mystic point oysters were by far the best we've ever had, and we contemplated ordering more! The Caesar salad had just the right amount of dressing with the fresh black pepper complimenting it well. The filet, (although my judgment was biased because my Husband knocks any steak at a restaurant out of the park,) was clearly a beautiful cut of meat and the outer was charred just the right amount. My husband ordered the wagyu steak and it could not have tasted better! We complimented our meal with delicious asparagus and Alyssa surprised us with au gratin potatoes that melt in your mouth! Overall it was a fantastic experience and Valentine's was better celebrated after the holiday, with the utmost amazing experience!"

We ordered our drinks.... another server delivered some chips and salsa. WOW.... it was one of the best fresh made salsa's we've tasted in awhile. Not hot or spicy..... just really good flavor!! We told AJ our opinions, and she suggested the fresh made guacamole because it's as good. So we said...OK !! She was right. A large portion showed up in a molcajete bowl, with another side of chips. Over the top delicious!!! For our meal... like we really needed one after the large bowl of guacamole . I ordered the shredded beef soft taco. Very tasty and filling. My husband ordered shredded beef enchiladas with red sauce. Both dishes were very enjoyable and full of flavor. we liked it so well.... We bought a side pint of salsa, took the rest of the guacamole home for snacks later. !!! Yes.... Oh YES.... Highly recommended. Wish we lived here!"

"Let me start by saying that I love sushi... and that I am posting this much later than originally anticipated... I really enjoy trying new and different things whenever I have the opportunity and Sawara definitely delivered! My sister and I were getting pretty hungry and had a long-standing rain check to get sushi together. With COVID, there weren't really any places we had the option of visiting in person, so we decided to order in. My sister found Sawara after a quick search and we were able to see the menu on their website. The search results didn't list delivery as an option, so we gave them a call and a nice man on the other end of the line confirmed that they were able to provide delivery service through a third party (DoorDash). In today's world, delivery has become the popular option among those that would rather not venture out to get a bite to eat. While I totally understand that, I'm not really a huge fan of these large third party delivery companies; for many, the fees tend to pile up but the restaurants and delivery staff don't end up seeing very much of the profit... but I digress. We placed an order for a handful of rolls - about a 50/50 split between vegetarian choices and non-vegetarian choices (mine were the non-veg... and pretty spicy to boot!!). I forget exactly what each roll was called, unfortunately, but we received our order within the quoted window with a jolly text message from the delivery person when it arrived. He double checked our order to ensure it included utensils, soy sauce, extra sauces my sister had asked for, and napkins which I appreciated so sooooo much as there have been many times details are overlooked in cases where there are some pretty detailed requests. Both my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our rolls and frequently furrowed our brows at one another to convey an "I didn't think this would be so yummy" sort of look lol. The fish - in my case - was so unbelievably fresh and tasty and each flavor written in the menu description was well accounted for after each bite. My sister loved her veggie rolls as well... we mutually agreed that this would be a meal we would be glad to put ourselves into a food coma for! LOL. Thank you, Sawara, for your excels food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. Whenever I find myself in your neck of the woods I will be SURE to stop in."

"My previous review as an easy 5 stars. Since my first visit to the Dragon Boat, it has sprung a little leak. Floated my boat:Nice clean place. They are all set up for social distancing pickups. I phoned in my order and it was ready for me fifteen minutes after I phoned it in. The cashew chicken and fried rice were terrific and the portions were generous. The leaky part:When I got home I realized the egg rolls and won tons that come with the dinner were missing. The sweet and sour pork was super hard, greasy, and way overcooked. We had to throw it out after a few tries. A waste of $12. The hot and sour soup lacked flavor and the zest it had on my previous visit. Overall though, I'd go back but I'll stick with dishes that aren't deep-fried. Maybe I caught them on a bad day and at a bad time. I like these guys and glad they are still making a go of it during the COVID crisis."

They also offer a few postres (desserts) but I have not tried them."

My profuse apologies Torres! First, someone complained here in the Yelp reviews that you have to pay for chips and salsa. Not true. Again, I had no expectations. I sat the bar, and they brought me... chips and salsa. I didn't ask, and was not expecting. But then I dipped the chip into the salsa and knew I had done them wrong not expecting much. I truly feel I can tell if a Mexican restaurant is going to be good or not by their salsa. And this salsa was amazing!! It was also way spicier than I expected it to be - in a truly delightful way. As I said, I was sitting at the bar and the bartender was suuuuper friendly and kind. (Although honestly I am finding peeps here to be way more friendly anyway). She made me a decent margarita (ex-bartender here so I might be a tad picky about my maggies). I ordered the chicken fajita plate - and let me tell you, lots of food (it ended up being left overs for 2 more little meals) - and the price was perfect! Really good, friendly service and delicious food at a reasonable price. I have been back once more, and it was still good. A+ for consistency! I'll probably be a regular."
