"Garden of the Gods RV Resort has a terrific location. The bathroom and shower facilities were better than most of the other campgrounds we stayed at during our road trip.Only complaint would be that maneuvering our truck pulling the camper trailer was a bit difficult at times. Some of those roads are really tight. Folks were parking their vehicles where they should not have sometimes because some of those camp sites were pretty cramped. Other than that, it was a nice stay in Colorado Springs."
"My husband booked beds for us in the bunkhouse for myself and 2 girl scouts who were doing a raft trip. We were mostly looking for a place to sleep and not have it be too expensive and this was perfect. They also have RV hook ups, tent sites, tiny homes, cabins and yurts available. The area was very beautiful. The restrooms have a code on them but there is also showers available, a rec room, hiking trail. We didn't really get a lot of time to explore as we were only there for an evening but we enjoyed our time there and i will be back in teh future."
"Pikes Peak RV Park is a little gem located in Manitou Springs. We stayed in sight 19 which was very convenient for getting in and out of the park. Its proximity to red rock canyon open space park and Garden of the gods park were incredible both within 2 miles of the park. There is a trout stream that runs alongside the park if you wish to fish. The owners told us that they have rainbow trout in it and we watched a crane fishing along the edge in the afternoon very cool. With the Veiw of Pikes Peak right from our site was incredibly awesome. The quaint little town of Manitou Springs is right across the street from the entrance with plenty of shops and services for you to enjoy. We would highly recommend staying here. The park is well kept up spaces were a little tight but we had no problems backing our 30 foot rig into the site the staff was great very helpful with every question we had."
"It's a bit weird when you call- you think it is an AI or computer as the person is so automated. They ask for your phone number and email address right away even though you may have just a simple question. However, after that weird interaction, everything else was very pleasant. People get back to you right away and answer all your questions. Rocco is very helpful on site. The place is immaculate, even the driveway into the ranch. The buildings are very well maintained and clearly marked. The scenery is gorgeous, and the horses look very well taken care of."
"Just spent the weekend here for the 1st time...it won't be the last. Already picking out more weekends to reserve for the summer. The location is great, love the trees and shade. It is quiet and peaceful. Can't wait for our next visit."
"Wonderful spot with fabulous staff and facilities! We were in the overflow next to the highway, but still had a glorious weekend. We were escorted to our spot after I bought out the cute little store. Omg the koozies!!! Our campsites were next to a little babbling brook (yes it talked to us), but the lower campground was next to the river which several people fished. Also, the tent area down there was on lush, green grass. Very nice!! The showers and bathrooms were super clean. We will be back on our next trip to BV."
"Very pleasant stay a bit off the beaten path! We stayed in the RV, ate at the cafe and chatted with folks from all over! Right on the river - so relaxing!"
"Poor service shitty hotel service low quality carpet beds are boat in broken and Brandy is horrible at service and they don't refund your deposit regardless of whether you respect the room or not"
"An absolutely beautiful place to stay! A little out of the way, but we'll worth the 15 minute drive up the mountain to get a taste of what Colorado is all about. Welcoming hostess and friendly fellow campers made out brief stay a blessing. Defiantly adding to our places to return to."
"3.5+ rounded up. Woodland Park is a small town and it's hard to find a room in the area especially during the spring and summer. To be honest, I booked this room months before because it was the only one left. I have no regrets though- located in an awesome area with a beautiful view, this Lodge is within walking distance to a shopping center and fast food joints. It is also less than 3 miles from Charis Bible College which is well known in this area. I was a bit concerned about the checking-in/out hours because a conference I was attending made it impossible to check-in during their specified hours, and their checkout starts at 8am when I needed to checkout hours sooner. Thankfully, they accommodated me and everything worked out. They were super nice about it.Although the cabin I stayed in was clean and roomy, I have to knock a star off because I had no control over the AC unit and it was a bit warmer than I like, warm enough to disturb my sleep. I am trying to take into account though, that it seemed a lot of places in Woodland Park didn't have the AC running and I am from Texas used to it running full blast. Also, breakfast starts way too late; therefore, I couldn't take advantage and had to go out for breakfast everyday. I recommend they consider starting breakfast by 7 am the latest. Overall, I would stay here again, preferably in the winter when I wouldn't have to worry about being too warm OR if I had a RV. There is a RV area behind the cabins, and I would totally consider staying here with a RV."
"Very MEAT & POTATOES camp site. Pictures are accurate; shaded spaced out sites. The park backs up to a rodeo and baseball field. Water and power provided each clean site. Quite a bit of road noise but park is quite. 1/3 of the park looks like it is occupied by full timers. Nothing interesting or unique about this campground. It is very strange there are no public bathrooms or shower on premises. You have to walk over to the rodeo to go to the bathroom. The whole website talks about the park 1/2 a mile away... that should have been a red flag. Rec room thing is a slab with a roof with 1 full wall and 2 1/2 walls unfinished overlooking a field. I guess it's more of a shade structure.Overall a step above staying in a Walmart parking lot."
"Off the beaten path, super quiet, lots of trees and the cleanest campsite bathrooms I've ever seen.VERY reasonable rates - we paid $25 on a Friday night during the summer for a site with full hook ups. Showers are free, but they ask that you keep them short so that other campers will have hot water too... seems reasonable. The site is owned and run by the Church of the Nazarene, so they don't allow alcohol or drugs. No beer is a bit of a bummer, so I probably wouldn't stay long term, but it was great for a Friday night stop over when we were late getting out of town. Each campsite had a fire ring, and there was a pool somewhere but I didn't see it. There's a group pavilion for events. When we were there, theres was a church group of about 75 people. Still, the place wasn't noisy at all - in fact, we overslept because it was so quiet. It's not really set up for RV's. We have a 25 foot class A -- pulled into the first site off the street, which was 31 feet, but we would have had trouble getting further in. Better for trailers, campers and tents. Great experience though, and otherwise unadvertised as far as I could tell."

We really enjoyed our trip to this RV resort and campground. We were able to do laundry on our two week long road trip across the country and there was also a delicious little breakfast food truck in the mornings and a great pizza truck for dinner. The location is very central to a lot of attractions as well. I would definitely go back

Formerly the BV KOA the new owners have made many improvements to the campground and especially to the common areas. The office building has brand new bathrooms, a pool table/TV room, large outdoor patio with a gas fire pit and plenty of seating and even includes a free dog wash station. The setting is spectacular with dead on view of Mt. Princeton. There is also a short trail that leads to the Chaffee County train network which goes for miles in all directions but includes a direct path to downtown Buena Vista (5 miles hike or mtn. bike).

I stayed at Pikes Peak RV Park for about two months and it was fantastic. First, the manager Sheryl squeezed me into a monthly site at the last minute. I had made arrangements elsewhere, arrived, and realized it would not be suitable - so I called her in the middle of a crazy hail storm, and she was helpful, friendly, and polite. She got us in, and we loved being here. The park is small, but it's located in a mountain village which has been around since the 1800's and everything is small in this town, if not a little wonky - which is what you get when you're building amongst beautiful red rocks and a charming creek! The spaces are cozy, but honestly, it was never an issue - we had our 24' trailer in both the middle section and then by the creek, and both were comfortable. The maintenance gentleman JJ is more than happy to help folks get parked, and he does so with a giant smile on his face. Actually all the staff, including Sierra and Mo who staff the front desk are friendly and helpful. They've got great tips on visiting the area, are more than willing to patiently explain to their guests how to best navigate the local attractions. Hints on great dog parks, and also a vet recommendation and more. We were allowed to receive our medical deliveries and Amazon packages here - and we always received a call or a hand delivery to our RV. We have a dog, and I LOVED the two fenced dog park areas - there were some folks with shy dogs, and it gave everyone the chance to take their pups out for a romp - plenty of shade, dog poop bags, and a trash can that was emptied DAILY by the staff here. It's walking distance to downtown Manitou Springs, and there's even a free shuttle that regularly stops outside the park which we often used. And the town is adorable - tons of things to do every weekend - we went to an art festival, and there was a marathon we cheered for, and a drum circle in the park Thursdays, lots of shops and places to eat. Anyhow, the staff here really amazing - they kept the entire park clean and tidy, the bathrooms were spotless every time I went in, and the laundry facilities were ALL functional for our entire stay (honestly, we've RVed from California to Maine and across Canada, and the laundry rooms can be the stuff of nightmares - but NOT here!). If there was any issue JJ was immediately on it (we had a wasp situation at the first site, but they took care of it on the same morning we asked for help!) I would not hesitate to stay here again - and am already looking forward to our next visit.

If you are interested in horses and camping this is the place for you. This old home stead (1906) has the original feel and character of the old west. MANY of the original building still exist. There is horse back trail rides, hiking, fishing and even a chuckwagon dinner on Saturday nights. Most camp site have a pen in the back to keep your horse. FANTASTIC location , WONDERFUL staff and just a great place to be. Just west of Colorado Springs, deep in the mountains

Great camping place or also RV Park. Great trees and very clean grounds. Bathrooms were awesome and floors were clean. I wasn't afraid to use the bathrooms or showers at any time during the day or night! Huge plus in my mind. Super sweet and very accommodating camp ground owners. They will try to make your stay as pleasant as humanly possible. There isn't any river access but it's just a short drive up the road. Fair prices for camping or RV spots. We will be back for sure.

I can't speak for the upper level but lower level near the creek it's easy to forget there is a highway near by. Every night I fell asleep to the creek and slept like a baby. Staff were extremely nice and the Bingo night was awesome! The little store has a good variety so you don't have to go to town and then showed and bathroom were the cleanest I e come across. 5 stars for my stay!

Upon arrival, I was really concerned what I got myself into. The front of this so-called hotel is really ran down. No one is around. Everything is done remotely out of Texas, they open the doors by sending a code that they email you when you can actually check in. At first, I was able to use the Wi-Fi in order to work. There is no cell service whatsoever. Around 6:37 AM p.m. the Wi-Fi completely shut down. No communication whatsoever no TV. Nothing I was unable to work the entire night. At 3:15 AM the long-term neighbor, the lights to talk to a very young lady like it's one of his buddies at the bar slams the screen door to go out to his car and then does it again going back in. There is no place to hang your clothes, no chair, no desk nothing but a bed, a tiny refrigerator that appears to have something that has died in the freezer. Upon departure there was still no Wi-Fi. I attempted to call the people in Texas once I got to Salida Colorado and had to leave a message. I do have to say the room was clean. The little sink was plugged up, the water shower was hot, but the tub is extremely slippery. The back of the hotel is an RV park that have a number of seriously ran down RVs parked and then the Arkansas River which flows very nicely behind that. For the price that they charged over $100 it is not worth it I would highly recommend that you go down the road and find something else.

Somone here was fostering our cat and our cat got out and is loose in the park and management has been less than helpful as we tryed to come in the evening to look for her when our cat would be out and about And we even saw her and tryed to grab her but the manager and her friend were yelling at us from behind and we were very shaken and she bolted as we ran twords her then manager of the park her friend along with a few residents mobbed on us screaming for us to get off property because we didn't come get permission during the day at the office they made fun of me saying I should have taken better care of my cat and telling me to go back to my tent that becoming homless was our own fault. we aren't homless anymore but we were which is why we needed to have somone foster our cat its a really sore spot and we did our best the Managment and residents that ganged up on us were very cruel. the owners and managment are refusing to help and have ban us from the property telling us we have no legal claim to our cat and that she is now feral but were not giving up and we have pictures of her since she was a kitten and vet records to prove she's our cat and she's chipped. We filed a replevin against the owner of the park yong h lee because she and the manager brandy wade kept us from recovering our cat while we were 100% sure she was there. They would rather an innocent animal be left a stray to survive on her own and possibly die than let us come search in the evening for a weekwhen this first happened and have recovered her and been on our way. The replevin isnt going well we need proof she's still there. Its been 2 months and we are pretty she still there because lost cats are usually found within 50m of the spot they were lost. 500$ reward for her safe return she's a small slender medium hair gray tabby we love her and miss her very much. 50$ for photos of her still in the park if you cant catch her. Oh and she's not spayed so she's either about to have kittens or had just had them. We love her very much and just want to bring her home safe she's a part of our family we will not give up.

"Me and my husband booked this place for a week for our honeymoon and oh my goodness y'all this is such a hidden gem! From the first minute we called Pamela- we were an absolute wreck, confused, my husband and me were both frantic. We booked super last minute too. She was super patient, and despite being the only one handling reservations there, called me back within the hour and managed to get us straightened out and set us up for a week, we payed in advance even though we are from Missouri. Can't tell you how much stress it took off us, we were able to enjoy our roadtrip in peace knowing that when we got to Colorado we didn't have to worry about where we were sleeping, she kept us very up to date throughout the whole thing and all our texts were always answered within the hour. Now the place itself- is super cute and cozy, we got the romantic room 7, and it has a big bed, and a little fire place, was perfect. Now this might be controversial where i'm from but i'm a medical marijuana user and depend on it to function wanted to go on my honeymoon not worrying about it, this place does not allow smoking in rooms but it was nice that way! Because the rooms smell clean and are more comfortable, but at the same time, they have smoking areas that are very nice, and the veiw is amazing and we wanted to be outside anyways! They have numerous firepits /firewood too/, couches, tables, cushioned chairs, and a hammock. There was a little windchime outside our door that you would hear in the morning. This place is so charming and has a little magic in it, made our honeymoon so special. I don't know what happened to a previous commenter but I implore you to just talk with Pamela about any misunderstandings, she is one of the sweetest ladies i've ever met and I can't imagine there being a mean bone in her body. Deffinatly plan on coming back for anniversaries"
"I was pleasantly suprised to find a place at an RV park to take my tiny house. The staff at High Gardens RV Park are awesome. They take you to your very large site and hook you up. The utilities are at every site and so convenient. They prepare every site and position the turf so you step out on it from your RV.I couldn't be happier and they are open year round. No worries on trying to find a place for the winter.I'd give them 10 stars if I could."
"Yep - as everyone else has pointed an absolute 5 star--no doubt about it--the most hidden gem in Colorado. An old hospital for teller county each of the patients rooms have been remodeled for hotel! Original transom frame and glass! It's almost something from a movie! Old portraits and antiques as well! You guys must must must see this place!!!!"
"RV sites right on the river. Beautiful & quiet (off the highway). Would recommend for families passing through!"
"We were not sure what to expect, and we are pleased to note that this is an excellent little RV Park. Even their Internet WiFi supported streaming video. This place is clean, with regularly watered grass, and a few large cottonwood trees. There are convenience and a grocery store within two blocks of walking. It was also quiet while we stayed."
"Back again for a peaceful sleep with the greatest host and hostess ever! I enjoy coming here to escape the city."
"Excellent service. Awesome waterside campsites, fire pits, water views, bathroos, showers (with hot water), trees everywhere, small cabins available as well.....A MUST if you're a fan life peraon, car camper, or RV no d of peraon. This place is LOVELY."
"Stayed here for three summers while working in Colorado. I love the west side location. Manitou and Old Colorado City are really close. Price point for monthly stay was perfect. I will always stay here when I return to he Springs."
"Great RV park near the Royal Gorge. Positives: Very clean and well maintained. The lots are level. The bathhouse is clean. The hosts are super friendly. Decent internet (if you need that)Negative: The park sits next to the highway. Not an issue if you are in a nice and insulated class A coach. Sucks, if you are in a hybrid like me. I could hear the traffic all night long. If you can reserve a spot, I'd recommend #10, 11 33 or 20. The premium spots have nice large concrete pads with a firepit."
"We were surprised this RV park was so far out of town. Although in Colorado Springs--it isn't in the city. It is about 30 minutes outside of town. This is a rustic park; with lots of trees and room to run. I enjoyed watching the deer that wandered through in the morning and evenings. Our site was a pull through, and fairly spacious and level.Although overall we enjoyed our stay here, there are a few issues that didn't really bother us but are worth noting. Wifi did not work that well. No cell service. And there is a rock quarry nearby, and the 18-wheelers start driving by at about 6:30 am, and run throughout the day. Not that there is a constant stream of trucks, just every once in a while. The evenings are very peaceful, though. While we were there, the staff was always out and about taking care of the grounds, which is a plus."
"We felt like taking a jaunt for a quick overnight. This is the perfect place for that if you are ok with small, simple, and serene. Which I am but the lack of a few integral amenities was one of the few reasons I gave it a three and not a four. Negatives: incredibly steep spots and not many of them. A lot of the campers aren't really "campers" but are either there for a while, or even seem to be living there. This cuts down on quite a few of the really nice spots. The proximity to the highway is a bit distracting when the traffic is heavier. BUT when the traffic isn't heavy, it's very quiet and pleasant. The area is nice and even though the highway noise is a bit much sometimes, the proximity as far as convenience for wayward travelers is definitely a plus. The apparent lack of amenities (however small an RV park is) was surprising. No showers, bathrooms, etc. I would imagine for long term visitors that could be an issue if anything should go wrong with their motorhome or need to wash clothes. Our spot and a few others (there are 40ish) and I think some of those are full-time people was incredibly, I mean blocks under our levelers steep. This caused a skosh of an issue, as some will know, with our slide out and wasn't much room for it. So if possible, request a spot that isn't steeper than Everest. These were the reasons they lost the fourth star. Positives: convenient location to Walgreens, hwy, and a couple of restaurants and very nice and quiet all evening even outside of quiet hours. Aside from some guy who felt the need to run his saw above at 8am on a weekend, it was a great place to rest for the evening. I didn't see the cabins but they do have some quaint cabins as a nice alternative. I can't attest to the interior however. But they look nice and clean on the outside. Very friendly caretaker who was available when we needed anything and the prices are perfectly matched for the camp ground. Free wifi! Yes, even camping I need my wifi. Having that is so nice it always counts as a positive no matter how remote. But, don't expect TV reception because no dish will be able to get through the trees. Despite that, the trees are definitely a positive. Very established pines that give a nice addition to the view, they also give a feeling of seclusion and did help block out the traffic noise. Full hookups. Always a bonus! I would highly recommend if you are traveling through but not so much if you plan on staying for a longer weekend. I really want to give them four stars but just can't because of the steepness and lack of extras. Four stars for short stay. Three for long stay."
"Cute town home feel. Nice everything and easy to get in and out of. Hookups clean and easy to use. Nice pool and friendly people."
"We travel in a motorhome for both work and pleasure. This is one of the BEST RV parks we've stayed at, we come back as often as we can. Incredible views, terrific location, fantastic dog park, but the owners make it a 5 star place."
"Great family friendly campground resort. Lots of deer and rabbits. They have a something for everyone here.I do though wish that they had an adults only pool area."
"This KOA never disappoints! There is so much to see and do here that boredom isn't even a possibility. This trip we've noted more wildlife than before, which we truly appreciate. Morning coffee with the bunnies is a huge plus. Thank you for having all of the washers and dryers operational! We recommend this park!"
"Who am I to dispute the 5-star ratings Bighorn has already gotten? The owners are very nice. Laundry and showers are spotless. They have some nice greenspace out front and some beautiful shoreline along the river to enjoy. We stayed here in our motorhome and the 50 amp power is solid, sites are level and the wi-fi is pretty darn good. Propane is available, too. Forty-two bucks a night for this part of Colorado is not bad.I predict that we will stay here again!"
"Stayed here one night. Made reservation ahead. Arrived to find our assigned spot was taken. Found the host and were assigned a different spot. Water and electric. No sewer. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Great view. Near the Great Sand Dunes NP."
"My experience here was one of peace and tranquility--just exactly how I like my time away from home. The owners are very involved in their business. The accommodations were comfortable and quiet. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and intend to return in the summer."
