"This place is really a lot of fun. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Price was $68 so that can be pricey to do it all the time, but the art I brought home is pretty amazing. Great fun music to listen to while you work. I wrote the wording for my piece incorrectly on the website and they didn't even blink an eye to fix it and get me corrected wording. This was really a lot of fun an I highly recommend it."

"I've gone twice and both times were so much fun. I actually plan on bringing my daughter soon. She looooves painting. The instructor gives such detailed instructions, that I could see her doing well here. He (Tyler) also made the whole thing very light and a joy to be there. Lots of laughs were had. "This location is fairly new. I came here with my wife as a Valentine's Day event. I signed up well in advance, but after looking at another painting they offered a few days before, I called to change days. The lady helped me change my reservation with no issue. We spent about 90 minutes painting and another 20 minutes getting setup on the front and back ends. 15 minutes checking in, getting a drink, waiting for any late arrivals, and getting situated. 5 minutes at the end finishing up our painting and signing it all. I had a coupon for $5 off (see pic). I was a little disappointed they were out of OJ because they offer $10 bottomless mimosas, so I couldn't take advantage of that deal. Overall the lady did a great job guiding us through the paining session. I never felt rushed and in between her instructions she played some good music keep us in the paining mood. I was really pleased with how the paintings came out and now they're both hanging in my bedroom."

"So fun!!! My friend and I have never done anything like this before and we were so impressed with the end result!! Keyana, the manager, was super helpful and extremely quick to respond when I had a problem with my online registration. I met her at our class and she is amazing in person as well. She even remembered my name. Her instructions are clear and to the point. She handled a sold out crowd perfectly. As soon as I thought "I wonder what happens next?" Keyana was giving the next set of instructions. AnnaMarie, the instructor for our table, was helpful, friendly, encouraging, and fun. I am definitely going to request her table next time. B&B makes it so easy. You have enough room to be creative but not enough freedom to mess your sign up. I have been to the cocktails and painting nights and never hung up my paintings, but I am super proud of my amazing B&B sign and plan to hang is as soon as possible. This would be a terrific bridal shower, mom's night out, a date, or even a corporate event. It would be so fun to get a group of friends together and have everyone do a theme for their sign - whatever holiday is coming up, family, kitchen, etc. The two gentlemen at our table did an amazing job with their signs and had as much fun as anyone. The only caution I have is that this could easily become addictive! My friend and I had an amazing time. We were planning our next visit in the car on the way home! B&B, you knocked it out of the park and I cannot wait to come back again soon!!"

"We bought a Living Social certificate for this event, and attended the painting session. Yulia was very nice and certainly is passionate for the arts! Her work is really beautiful, and she's excited about painting which made it fun. That is why I gave her 3 stars. The negatives were that the venue is truly a wine bar- not a painting studio, call me "old"- but the tables are so low it's not a good position to be sitting in for several hours. As well, Yulia's phone rang throughout the whole session (completely unprofessional), and at times she took the calls and stepped away from the teaching. Additionally, she was up and down the stairs and in and out of the back room throughout the whole session. Seemed as though she had better things to do than teach our class. I understand it's a startup, and I'm very much in support- but from the outside perspective it seems she's trying to do too much at once instead of focusing her effort on making her customers' experience a good one. I don't plan on going back, but do wish Yulia the best, and believe if she focuses on her current customers her future customers will come!"

"My first time painting and what a great time I had! Went with my Neice , sister in law and there two friends. We booked in advance because they get really busy and the classes get full quick. The instructors are amazing . Really so much fun and really easy to follow along with. Your able to buy alcoholic drinks as well as non alcoholic drinks as well as snacks to enjoy while you paint. They play great music while your painting so the vibe in the class is very upbeat. Definitely would go back again"

"Great experience and our paintings turned out so well! I had Maria as an instructor and she was great, helped us all make our paintings better, and explained the techniques very approach-ably. I wouldn't say it's super conducive to talking with the people you come with, especially if it's more than 1 person, as I had a hard time hearing them over the music. But it's a good atmosphere even without talking. Note: drinks are not included with the price of the class so budget accordingly. Also, if you are bringing children request clean music because a few very explicit songs played while we were there."

"Upstairs circus is located in the Denver Tech Center area. There is a parking lot right across the street from the craft shop. I booked a reservation time online a week before my visit. The site was acting up so I tried a few times. The confirmation link was broken so I had to call day of to confirm and nobody picked up because of short staff. That's ok , left a voicemail. I arrived and was greeted and checked in by awesome Joey. It wasn't busy at all when I arrived. Got to choose anywhere open to sit. I recommend casual dress if you decide you're painting a project. They provide aprons and gloves. Once seated you get a craft and drink menu. Pick a project that is at your level. You then sign a waiver so you understand that it's drinking and hammering, not an ax throwing event ;) Some projects can take a short amount of time while others can take longer. I asked tons of questions and was helped each step of the way. Bring your glasses if you need them to read because the instructions are very small on the project guides. There are high top craft tables with stools and lower tables with chairs with backs. I chose a nail & string project. Others chose a bottle opener project and a a wooden transfer paint project. Everything was provided and all projects are the same price. We had a total of 4 projects ,2 sodas, and two cocktails. It was $240. That is my only frustration. That price ! Joey was just amazing. We all had fun and I may go back."

"Anyone who knows me knows I love wine. Getting to be creative plus wine? I'm sold! What a fun idea for a date night! I really had fun here with our instructor, Cindy! She really did a great job going at a pace where everyone could follow along. She was really friendly and encouraged us the whole way, saying that everyone is capable of making art and that there's no wrong way to paint. Everyone here was super friendly and I loved the music they had on in the background too. Very cool atmosphere. Cindy even did games with us where we won prizes. I can't stress enough how much fun I had here. I have done wine and paint classes before, this by far was the best experience. I'm in no way in touch with my artist side and even I was able to paint something I was really happy with. My boyfriend had a lot of fun too. I'd definitely want to come again and would suggest this spot to friends."

"This was my first time at Canvas and Cocktails. I went with some friends who had been here before. We had been wanting to go for a while, but on more than one occasion, by the time we identified a painting we wanted to do, and picked a date, the class was full. We showed up a few minutes early on a Saturday morning. Several people were already there, and a bunch showed up right behind us. It took a little while to get checked in. They showed us where we would be sitting, got us some smocks, dropped off brushes, and we waited for the class to start. It was pretty packed (lots of nice people). It was mostly a younger crowd than I expected, but there was a lot of positive energy. My one real criticism would be that with this many people, it was a little hard to get a good view of the subject material.As far as the rest goes, the staff was excellent. They were friendly, upbeat, and helpful. the instruction on the actual painting process was fine. The class included a free drink (mimosa, wine, or beer). I opted for the house Merlot and it was pretty decent. Extra drinks were only $3 for a healthy pour of wine, or $2 for a Coors Light (other beers may have been a bit more). All in all, I had a great time, and was happy with the instruction we received. And, I think my painting turned out pretty good as well."

"This place is so cool! This was my first time ever doing a paint and wine experience, and I couldn't believe how much they had to offer. We were a little confused when we walked in of where to check in and what to do exactly, but eventually we were given instructions. We both chose to do a canvas, while the sign said there were two sizes, we weren't verbally offered two sizes. The people helping you paint were patient and helpful, especially to the degree of our skills haha. We both got a cider - the Paloma and the guava chili. The Paloma was alright, really just tasted like a regular cider but the guava chili one had a good spice! We ended up each spending $40 for a canvas and one drink."

"Went Wednesday night with a friend to "paint your pet". You email them a photo of your pet, they sketch it on canvas, and you paint it! It's one of the best classes I've seen out there since the painting is so personalized. It's also a bit more expensive than other classes because of the extra work that goes into it ($50). I think this class is better suited for people who have painted a couple times, or more. Next time I'll try a class where we're all painting the same thing, so it's harder for me to mess up. When all the pets look so different, it's hard for them to help you mix paint colors and walk you through every step. Some of the paintings were AMAZING and you could definitely tell these people had inherent artistic skills. People were looking at mine and smiling politely... haha. My painting is no masterpiece, but it sorta-kinda looks like Izzy. My fiance laughed at it when he saw it, but it was the first painting I've ever done!The instructor was helpful, and she went around to everyone giving them pointers and tips. The class included a drink, and they had little appetizers (mini meatballs, cheese, crackers, grapes, peanut M&M's!!!!!, hummus). It's a really cute space, and a fun thing to do with friends. Definitely recommend!P.S. There is a garage with free parking right behind the studio."

I like that The Paint Cellar has more than just canvas options and they provide all the supplies (and more) to allow everyone to channel their inner Bob Ross.Clients pick their project and the price (which varies from $35-$55) includes sipping some of Colorado's finest adult bevvies. This is absolutely perfect for date night, girls night out, or even a birthday party outing. Masks are required except at the painting table.
