"Wow, the food here is amazing!!! My family had eaten at one of their other locations and I was glad to get to join them for lunch. I ordered the ultimate sandwich and got a little of each of their meats (gyro, shawarma & falafel). My wife and daughter got kids meals with chicken shawarma and my son ordered the chicken nuggets and fries. All the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. My work often caters food from here and they love it."

"Small menu means they know what they're doing! It shows! Delicious food and awesome service! Carefully curated plate a Persian restaurant with the most tastiest meat ever! The Koobideh ( ground beef) and Chicken Kabob ( joojeh)charbroiled, was so tasty plus the Lamb! It was the best lamb in recent memory! The Basmati Saffron Rice was unbeatable in taste. The grilled tomato and charred jalapeño on the side were an added bonus. The Smoky Eggplant( Mirza Ghasemi) and house made hummus. The is smoked and so delicious. Roasted tomato, garlic and Himalayan Salt, with a plateful of warm pita bread. The hummus was creamy and so tasty! I'm thinking of returning when I walked out their door!"
"The hubs and I met up with a friend for dinner tonight. We showed up right at 5 and the place very quickly filled up. We started with falafel and the zaatar bread. The falafel was so light and crispy and just delicious. The zaatar bread was soft and soaked up the olive oil and spices. I loved both and knew we were in for a good meal. For my main I went with the baba ganoush sandwich. I haven't had baba ganoush like this before. It had a little pomegranate molasses with pomegranate seeds wrapped up with mixed greens and herbs in pita. The hubs got a gyro sandwich with a side of fries. I snuck a bite and very good as well. Service was really fast and we knew we were in great hands with the owner. I definitely want to come back."
"Wow! This place was amazing! The food was great and we really enjoyed the ambience. One thing we truly appreciate about this place is that they take care of the community. That really meant a lot. Please go support them!"
"Independently owned and operated and the owner is lovely! Quaint setting with beautiful, authentic decor. Personable, attentive service. Food is delicious! We love the gyro and shawarma plates! The French fries are so good! I always ask for extra sauce to dip them in. My MIL loves the lentil soup and there always seems to be customers coming in to get some to go every time we're dining in. My husband enjoys the Turkish coffee and there is a nice selection of middle eastern drinks such as ayran, kardamom tea, rose water, and vimto. I really enjoy their chai tea! Some chai teas I find are overpowered with ginger but theirs is well-balanced and smooth!"
"I'm sorry, but you can't get this much food for cheap anywhere in Denver. I got the two meat combo and it was absolutely delicious! I can't believe their prices, very affordable. Service is friendly. I'll be back."

Ever since I explored Jerusalem last year, I have craved its wonderful food. This restaurant finally satisfied my craving for a solid pita, hummus, and falafel combo. The ultimate plate is truly the way to go when you visit. The mixture of chicken and gyro meat is divine and the sauce on top (I believe a garlic aioli?), perfection! To keep you feeling fresh, the meat, pita, hummus and falafel are accompanied by a light side salad. The food has always been served or provided to me in a timely manor, warm, and with a smile. Be sure to stop in at one of its two locations in the springs for an authentic taste of the Middle East that will not disappoint.

This is going to be a quick review for my to-go order I had today. Service: Simple and quick. Basic where it wasn't exceptional and yet the guy who took my order was friendly enough.Inside: I wasn't there to dine but I looked around. This place is never dirty. It's consistently clean. Food: I go here because it's almost guaranteed that I get the best food when it comes to the middle eastern cuisine. Today, I discovered Mirza ghasemi & pita and this is simply AMAZING. This is my go-to appetizer now. The dolmas are also amazing and so are the falafels. I have never been disappointed with their food ever. Price: At the right range for the kind of portions and foods. Today, my total was $23 for 3 items. Not bad at all. This place is simply too humble. I truly hope that they are getting the kind of adoration they deserve. I continue to support this business; I hope that they'll continue to exist until my dying day (lol)!!

We are middle eastern food fanatics! When I read about Golden Falafel in the Post I had to try it...you should too!!!Small restaurant in a local mall run by a family.Food is very good. Loved the Chicken Shawarma plate (served with lovely fresh pita, Homemade Hummus, a great fresh Salad).I must say their rice is some of the best I have ever had. It has a unique deep flavor that most places do not have. The vegetarian plate is really awesome: Crispy Falafel, great fresh tabouleh and fattoush.Interesting Fava dip ( really more like a baked bean dish).Sure I have had better Hummus and baba ghanouj but for Denver this place is amazing.Since the article has come out the place is mobbed and since it is a one man show things are at a more gentle pace. The owner is a lovely man and you can feel his warmth.Prices are really good and what you get for your money is exceptional.Highly recommend you make the trek and enjoy some great comfort food!

Food was tasty and great portions. If you are in a rush recommended to order ahead. While having lunch I witnessed 3 young men in need of food coming for free food, the owner asked them to wait a bit but would provide a plate. Support this business, they are helping those in need.

Lovely experience at dinner with my mom tonight. I would love to see this place busier (seems like they do a good DoorDash business) but the owner was so kind and the food was excellent. Not to mention the price point is spot on. The falafel was very tasty and the hummus wowed me. The baklava was outstanding with the crushed pistachio. We were surprised with cardamom tea at the end of our meal and it was delicious. I've never had it before! We will be back. Thank you!

"It took us years to get back but we finally did and wow did we miss this. This place is just as phenomenal as it was back when we last ate here. The service was informative, friendly and efficient. First time trying the Ghormeh Sabzi and it was so good. We also got the kabadoori which is always great. Happy to have returned and cannot wait to come back. Our toddler enjoyed everything too!"
"First-time experience at Zaman, and I'll be glad to return.Hadn't eaten lunch and only had some coffee and a bit of yogurt for breakfast, so come 2 pm I was hunnngry. But the problem was my honey and I were meeting friends for an early dinner out and so I didn't want to ruin my appetite. Hence the question of what to do. Passed by Zaman and had seen some very good reviews of it and had the great thought: hey, maybe they sell appetizer sized portions of one of my favorite Middle Eastern dishes--baba ghanoush with a pita. I was thinking, maybe I could have a few bites of that and not spoil my appetite for dinner a little later. So that's what I did. I stopped on by and picked up a to-go order since they did have that on the menu and bingo...food problem solved.Didn't just like it. I loved it. Almost as good as Yayha's, my favorite Middle Eastern spot, so I will be happy to try out some of their other dishes. Liked the fast casual set-up and the nice people who ran the place. All-in-all an excellent experience.Sign me,David "Satisfied but not filled up"M."
"Outstanding take out service. I kind of wish we would have stand in the restaurant- great vibe? Clean, colorful and smelled sooooo good! I couldn't wait to get home and tear into our dinner!! Half and half was incredible with rich deep flavors in the baba ganoush. Kids devoured their huge beef and lamb sandwich. Generous portions of meat in my husband's dinner platter!! Can't wait to return and try more!! Until next time ...."
"Their near perfect reviews left by many truly speak for the kind of restaurant it is. It's only 10 minutes away from my northeast DTC house. How come I didn't discover this place until a few days ago? This is not necessarily a fancy restaurant in any way but it sure is a clean restaurant. When I arrived at the peak dinner time, one of the workers was cleaning the little mess left behind by a diner. And she was very thorough in cleaning. I picked up one of the menus at a table and that was when this super friendly gentleman in the kitchen asked me, "Is this here or to go, my friend?" Ahh, thank for calling me a friend! Like I always do, instead of getting me a huge entree plate, I got me a few sides as a nice accompaniment to what I already have at home. Grape leaves and tzatziki sauce definitely sounded good to me on top of falafels. The same guy in the kitchen continued to be friendly to me while I was placing my order. He carried on a nice casual small talk conversation with me without any pause. He truly made an effort to get to know me. Once home, I immediately started my dinner. I was truly impressed with the grape leaves. They are marinated with jalapeño so they've got a good kick in it. This is very unique for grape leaves as I've never had spicy ones before. Falafels are nice and brown with perfect crunchiness. The tzatziki sauce was great for dipping some raw veggies I had in my fridge. Later that night, my daughter came by with empty stomach. To the question she asked me, "Do you have any food?" I replied with an evil looking grin on my face, "Yes, I've got just that!" and gave her some of the leftovers from my earlier dinner. She was beyond impressed with everything especially the grape leaves! "Where did you get all this great food?" she asked to which I replied, "Grape Leaves Mediterranean Restaurant on Mississippi and Peoria!" "Mom, we need to go back soon to get us more of those!" she uttered! This restaurant instantly gained a few die hard fans that night!!"
"I've had Bosphorus on my radar for a while now, and after seeing it make Yelp's Top 50 Places to Eat in Denver, I couldn't wait any longer!I showed up for lunch at around 1PM on a weekday, perfectly timed as another guest was just leaving -- no waiting for a table! I could have spent hours gawking at the menu. After a recent trip to Greece, I've been longing for some tasty & authentic Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food, and everything looked incredible. Somewhat of a panic decision, I went with the chicken gyro sandwich and a stuffed grape leaf. When asked if I wanted rice, fries, or a salad with my sandwich, I asked for rice, and was met with "hmmmm, are you sure about that?". Melih (very easily!) convinced me to change to fries and WOW I am so glad I did...hands down some of the best fries I have ever had, perfectly crispy and seasoned so well! The gyro meat was phenomenal and packed with flavor. The stuffed grape leaf was also delish! Huge portions and incredibly fair pricing!Although the food was awesome, my 5-star experience here really was brought together by the friendliest staff/owners, a cozy/homey/authentic spot filled with awesome Turkish history on the walls, and the most welcoming atmosphere. I will absolutely be back to try the Iskender Kebab, Fried Eggplant, and Turkish Tea (and to get more fries!)."
"Good foodGood service Cozy ambiance I recommend it for family gatherings Good for lunch Lamb Chops"
"Incredible gem! Ordered to go and it was amazing. Spicy chicken was delicious, and the lamb was out of this world. Wish they would give more of the spiced chickpeas, those were so dang yummy.Cant speak too much about the physical location, but the guy who answered the phone and took my order was very polite! Highly recommend!"
"Generous portions. Meat was a little over cooked. Service was great. Got baklava to go. I thought the rice was a little too salty. The falafel was airy and crisp on the outside not sure how they got it like that but flavorful. Nice quick stop for lunch. Also try the sage tea. Delicious."
"I was passing through Castle Rock today around lunchtime and Yelp pointed me to this place via great reviews. The reviews were spot on. We were greeted by an incredibly friendly woman the second we walked through the door. She pointed us towards the menu on the wall and answered all our questions about the menu. I ended up ordering the falafel plate and it ended up being a great choice. The food was fresh, hot and very very authentic. My friend who is from Castle Rock, wanted to order a particular stew that was no longer on the menu. The lady said they took it off the menu as not enough people were ordering it. She offered to make it tonight and have some available for him tomorrow. Wow, what an incredible hospitable and friendly offer to make. The cool thing is that she meant it very sincerely. We enjoyed our meal very much. The place is very small but it's clean and the food is amazing. Try e service is very personable and pleasant. If I pass through this area again, I will gladly stop here again. The locals are lucky to have this incredible restaurant."
"Mediterranean restaurant with a few shelves of grocery items. Salads were very good but those pita chips were the best!!!! Service was great. The adobe style building has a cute little area in the front for outdoor seating. We'll definitely be back for those pita chips!!!!"
"I went here for lunch with my mom on a weekday. Food was delicious and fresh. It was probably some of the best Middle Eastern food I've had.We ordered the freshly made hummus, baba ghanoush, and chicken shawarma bowl. Everything was fresh, well-made, and priced were extremely reasonable. We will be back again!"
"I love Mediterranean food and used to eat it a lot in California. Sadly, Hawaii doesn't have many Mediterranean spots so when I came to the food court, I wanted to eat something healthy. All other food court spots look too greasy. I saw Mediterranean so I had to try it. I ordered the chicken pita with everything. The highlight of the dish is of course is the tender slicked chicken with great seasoning. However, the main kicker is that SAUCE. Oh my goodness, it is to die for. Guy working said it's him moms recipe and it has no msg, barely any salt. A lot of Mediterranean spots or wanna be spots has very thin consistency with their sauce but not here. Thick, dip your French fries and smother it all over your pita greatness. I had to add extra sauce so I could dip my fries in it. Wish we had this place in Hawaii. Absolutely delicious! Forget the other spots in the food court that'll make you feel nasty after you eat. This place is refreshing, made to order and great service. A plus in my book!"
"The baklava is delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Their showcase is beautiful."
