"Someone marked this place as closed, but they just moved. Now located on Colorado Blvd behind the Panera. They opened this location about a week ago and I had been meaning to check it out at the previous location but never got to. So today was the day. We ordered over the phone because their website ordering is a bit weird and confusing. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes and that was true. Super fast. The lady that took the order and was there for pickup was extremely nice. I got the Jalisco torta with steak and chicken and everything that comes on it. It was SOOO good. So messy too but well worth the mess. I especially loved the avocado and the spiciness of the chipotle. Great flavor. I am excited for this new location and will definitely be trying other tortas and items on the menu."
"I've been twice now and both times, I left happy and impressed. This last time my coworkers and I sat in the enclosed patio area - with the amazing views. We called ahead and made reservations with this request - likely not absolutely needed, but you know, just in case. Our waiter was great and brought out water, chips and salsa right as we were sitting down. Our party arrived in waves but he didn't mind, he was there, watching in the background. Not too slow, not too fast. Thanks, man. We ordered a variety of things from the tortilla soup to the combo meals. I usually take pics of everything but this time, we got so immersed in work conversation that I forgot. Could have been my ravenous hunger too. Who waits until 1:30 pm to eat? Chips and salsa are great and props to our waiter again, who monitored the chip levels and brought more before we even asked. It's the little things, y'all. I ordered a two item combo - chicken enchilada with green chili sauce and a tostada. They both were great. Something I didn't expect was the shredded chicken enchilada having refried beans mixed in with it. It caught me off guard, was tasty, but I'll likely ask for just the chicken next time, lol. Next time I go, my goal is to sit at the gorgeous bar inside. Def a solid Tex Mex / authentic Mexican spot. And, man, I so wanted to order a margarita - also next on my list!"

"This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area, because of the excellent salsa, the gorgeous terraced patio, and the unusual recipes. The service is usually excellent and friendly, although we've occasionally been a little ignored. As mentioned before, I LOVE their chips and salsa. The chips are thin and crispy while the salsa reminds me of salsa made by my friend's Abuelita in Texas. All the food has been very good - I've never had a bad meal here. I admit that the recipes are a bit different from the standard fare, but in a way that I really enjoy. The Poblano Chile stuffed with garlic potatoes and served with sautéed veggies was incredibly good, and unlike anything I've had before. My son enjoyed his pork burrito and my hubby loved the fish tacos. We've tried many items and found all to be tasty and pretty healthy, overall. The Jalapeno Cilantro Margarita and other margaritas are excellent, too!"
"Coming on a Wednesday night for date night and we didn't need a reservation. Being from Southern California this is very decent California Mexican food (not traditional Mexican food). Love the theme of the restaurant - very beachy and reminds me of home!! They have indoor and outdoor patio seating, we were seating almost immediately. Our server was on top of it! Bringing out our drinks and food very quickly! It all tasted quick good and had delicious flavor. I did take off one star because of the the strange fees along with the lack of chips and salsa. That is pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant.Overall I would come back! 4/5 stars"
"I don't know if I stumbled in the hood but everyone knows that hood food is usually the best and today was Taco Tuesday!! $2.00 a taco, which I had 5 tacos. 2 carne asada, 2 chicken, and 1 al pastor. They had a salsa bar and I like to mix up the hottest hot sauce with the mildest one to give flavor to the taco. I really enjoyed my tacos and the price, the atmosphere not so much. It felt like the restaurant had never seen a beautiful black woman before and it showed with the staring from staff and patrons. With that being said, we got our order to go and we both enjoyed our meal. Thank you for the good food not so much for the service. My rating is based on the food only because if it were the other part it would've been a negative star."
"Great food, service and margaritas!! The carne asada was flavorful and tender. I would definitely go back."
"This place is awesome, and the service is fast! I'm a fan of chips and salsa, and Los Dos Potrillos does not disappoint in terms of its chips and salsa. We probably had about eight bowls of the salsa because it was so good - and it had a kick to it. The portion sizes definitely were not small, either - I was stuffed by the end of the meal! I had the steak street tacos. The ambiance was decent, but it felt busy. We only had to wait around 10 minutes to be seated. Our server was very kind and made us feel right at home. He also let us know that they have a new location that opened up in Castle Rock - and he made sure to mention that the food there is just as good!"
"Came in on Tuesday- $1.50 per taco. They also have a salsa bar with pickled onions, roughly 10 salsas, & jalapeños. For $3 you can't beat it. The salsa was incredible, the giant jalapeños made the tacos exactly what I wanted. The tacos were big and filling. Will be back!"
"Excellent place to get some great Mexican food! Great selection of foods and entrees. Staff friendly and food taste was awesome. If in this area, stop in. Won't disappoint!"
"I was not expecting this caliber of food in Monument, CO. To be completely honest, I didn't have high hopes. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the restaurant--it's beautiful inside and the food is delicious! I'd expect this caliber of Mexican food in California--but definitely not in Colorado. Give it a try!"
"Los Carboncitos became my favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver a few years ago & they still haven't let me down! Amazing flavor, good heat & great service. Located a couple miles outside downtown Denver off 6th & Sheridan, this location is a hidden gem in an unbecoming little stretch of businesses with ample parking. They do great takeout, but dining in is even better! The food is outta this world - so authentic & full of flavor! The chips and salsa are complimentary & so fresh, the salsa has a kick! They also bring out 4 housemade hot salsas too, I love them!! Their tacos are simple & delicious, your choice of protein on homemade corn tortillas topped with onions & cilantro. I love the carnitas, chorizo, carne asada & pollo. Their enchiladas are sooo good bc they're not smothered with too much sauce or cheese, and they grill the corn tortillas before rolling the enchiladas so it has a great grill flavor! You can get half green & half red too, yum. All in all, this Los Carboncitos spot is easily my favorite & I hope you find your way there soon bc it's incredible.. don't limit yourself to Taco Tuesday bc the tacos every day at Los Carboncitos are fire!"
"T-Byrds Tacos & Tequila in Downtown Colorado Springs has a great look: their branding and decor is on-point. The service, however, was severely lacking to the point it was non-existent.LOCATIONFirst, let me begin with their location: T-Byrds was easy to locate and they were across from the park. Find the first open parking spot and walk over to the restaurant.ATMOSPHEREUpon entry, we were greeted by the gentleman behind the bar. The music was a little loud for conversing but it didn't bother me much because I enjoyed the music - it was just hard to hear my coworkers during our table conversations.FOODI thought the food was okay. Here is a list of items I ate:- CARNITAS TACO: The meat was tough and the pico de gallo was okay. I'm not sure why it was topped with green bell peppers. That wasn't described on the menu. Plus, I thought it was weird. Why not just a simple cilantro to top? - PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: This was the better taco of the two. The pulled pork was juicy in the sweet Thai chili sauce and bits of pineapple. The crunchy fried onions on top surprisingly complemented the entire taco.- GRILLED ELOTE BOWL: I enjoyed this side dish over the two tacos. The corn bits were perfectly grilled. It had a nice bite to it and the flavors were great.SERVICEThe service was atrocious. Our server didn't bother to check on us - we flagged her down once during the only time she passed our table. The bartender even passed us as well as another employee. Not one asking if we needed anything. Nothing. The funny thing is the restaurant wasn't even full! I think our party would've enjoyed the food and atmosphere more had the service been better.Overall, I think T-Byrds has potential for improvement. What they have going on perfectly IMO is the decor and branding. I liked their physical menu and the fonts (typography). Opportunities for the biggest improvement would be in customer service. As for the tacos, they are definitely different from the tacos I've had in SoCal. I prefer a simpler menu with simple ingredients as opposed to fusion/"trendy" tacos. The presentation was off - definitely wouldn't use green bell peppers to top off tacos or "julienned" onions that appeared to have been cut by either a dull knife or a 5-year-old."

I somehow haven't reviewed this place since they moved to a bigger and better spot nearby, so it's time I do that. Same great tortas, with a lot more parking and a bigger dining area now. What's not to like? Their torta menu is huge, and you can make your own too if for some reason they don't have the combination you want. They have a few other items too, but honestly I haven't bothered because the tortas are so good. I'm glad they made a successful trip over to Glendale CitySet.

A shame really, I believe they have what it takes to do really well here. Pros:1. Cadillac Margaritas are spot on2. Children's menu consisted of enchiladas, taco, burrito and a quesadilla with rice and beans3. Churros and Sopippas* were good and shareable Cons: $14 guacamole and it tastes like Wholly 1. Guacamole, it's not even made in house2. Mixed Fajitas as OK. Could be better, they only come with white onions which aren't even sautéed long enough for flavor. Bell peppers are extraWe came on a Sunday night and they were very busy. Waited the anticipated 50 minutes. Great ambition, amazing views of the Rocky Mountains, sunset pictures are amazing. Family friendly, and loud.

We went here for lunch today 7/9/24 and it was pretty good. We got there for an early lunch around 11 and looked like the firsts guests there. (We have been on a mission to find good Mexican food here and it's hard) We were seated fast and got nice cold water brought to our table which we decided to sit out on the patio and it was really nice plus they had umbrellas so was helpful with the sun out. The salsa wasn't the best salsa (just hard to find a really amazing salsa which has a good kick, :( so that was a bummer but I've had worse so it wasn't that bad but wasn't something I would want to go back and try again). The pulled pork tacos were great thought. It was done well and had a good flavor too and the beans were awesome and rice was different than what I'm used to but it was good. Every one was friendly and service was great too. We love to try new places and glad we stopped here to try. We will go back again to try something else but probably on our next vacation.

The highlight of my meal was actually the margarita I ordered that they shake at the table... everything else was just meh. My husband and I ordered chips and guacamole to share and each got a few tacos. The guacamole was very simple and not really worth the cost... it was missing something! I tried a red snapper taco and a birria taco. Both were fine but once again missing something! Maybe some salt would have done the trick for everything! There's too many good taco spots around to come back here; especially since the service was lackluster as well!

I love Tacos Selene and will continue to love this place as long as I live. I've been going here since I was in high school and they've always been consistent and they have grown so much and have multiple locations now. Their tacos are always good and freshly made and their quesadilla is good as well. I always bring my friends here and they all have loved it. My favorite tacos here are the asada(steak) and the barbacoa, their lengua(tongue) is good as well, don't be afraid to try it! You may like it. Their salsa bar is great and I love the assortment they have of the salsas so it fits anyone's taste! Give them a try!

This place is ALWAYS delicious!! From the chips and salsa to the actual food, I cannot complain one bit. They even have great drinks. The service is speedy and friendly. We also love the live entertainment every now and then. My family loves this place!

Met my large adult son here for lunch. First time at this location, but it's the one closest to him. The food was wonderful, but the experience was marred by sloppy and neglectful service, alas. Son works from home on Saturdays, and only had an hour. Server asked if we wanted drinks, we said that water was fine, and he left. He did not return. We finally asked someone to please find him. He took the lunch order, brought it to us, and vanished again. Once again, we had to ask someone to find him and bring the check. This was annoying and not up to the standard set by Los Dos on Holly. However, the food, as always, was wonderful. Son had steak fajitas, and I had the tacos adobada. So good! The decor is similar to Holly. Booths, tables, bar, but more windows. Ambience isn't as bustling as Holly. No lackadaisical servers there. The restaurant was mostly empty at 2 pm on Saturday, making the neglect rather puzzling.

One of my favorite things about this place is the variety of both meat & salsa options! It's hard to find tripas & buche but this place not only has them, but they know how to do it! I ordered a burrito & a few tacos with an array of meats. I ordered at the restaurant & I did not have to wait too long. MUST visit!

"This is a casual restaurant serving traditional Mexican fare (you can tell by the name) and margaritas in a lively festive atmosphere. The menu covers the staples; tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, etc. They also offer some vegetarian and vegan options. The plates I've ordered have arrived with fresh and flavorful ingredients delivered by a friendly wait staff. I've had the beef enchiladas with rice and beans and both the steak and chicken fajitas (love the tortillas). Tasty salsa with nacho chips to round it out. Good stuff.Easy parking."
"First time to eat here after walking by a million times since we moved here a few years ago. Honestly, not sure the appeal of this place. I guess it's pretty cheap, but I didn't realize it was a poor man's Fuzzy's. Service was friendly enough, but that was about the extent of anything decent. Food was mediocre at best. Chips tasted like they came out of a bag, and salsa was cold and served in a disposable plastic container. None of my three tacos tasted anything other than something you'd get off the $1 menu at Taco Bell. My wife's quesadilla was so greasy, when she picked it up, her hand was glossy and needed to be wiped down. It was food, and as of now, it appeared slightly edible, but it's difficult to give any more credibility than that."
"I am still looking for that amazing burrito ( like my hometown San Fran Mission burrito) but Tacos La Morenita is as close as I can find so far.Their Al Pastor burrito was very good. Great blend of meat, rice and cheese in a grilled tortilla. Sure there was a pretty steep upcharge for the meat ...but that is what it is.Good Guacamole...perhaps the best I have had in a long time. Creamy, mixed with salsa crudo and jalapenos. Really flavorful.Great chips. Not your typical flat kind but more puffy and texturally really goodInsanely good hot sauce that reminded me of a complex Mole...Just get it!I would definitely come back.Added bonus that they will start serving Alcohol starting December Feliz Navidad and que Bueno!!"
"This place has been a go to since it opened. The food is always exceptional. We particularly like the Sopas as an appetizer. My favorite entree is the Rellenos. Any variety or sauce is great. Each Relleno is huge so one entree is plenty to split."
"We love this place and drive quite a ways to patronize them. Best tamales, and we love that they have a vegetarian option. Their entrees off their menu are great too, but the main attraction for us are the tamales which we like to keep in the freezer at all times because they are good for breakfast with eggs, lunch or dinner."
"The food was pretty good and came out quickly, which was great since I was starving after a 7.5 mile hike. I got the 6 taco plate and thought the garnish, sauces, beef, and pork were awesome. I didn't like the chicken ones much and felt they needed more seasoning on the meat itself. The price was reasonable also. I'd try a burrito and chile relleno next time.We also got the chips with salsa and guacamole, which I cannot recommend. It was like $15 for 2 dips and chips, which probably should have been more like half that price since you usually get chips amd salsa free at any restaurant like this anyway."
"I was so excited when I got to try El Karajo in Centennial! I am always on the lookout for a great Mexican spot and El Karajo is an amazing option! The decor is like a Mexican Fiesta which is my favorite type of fiesta so you are immediately in for a fun afternoon since we went during their new brunch hours! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming too! what I ordered: we started with queso fundido with chorizo and flour tortillas, cielo, mar, y tierra molcajete, chilaquiles verdes, and churros. To drink we got the jarrito, el mar azul, the prickly pear margarita, and their house margarita. best bite: i love a good molcajete! They are new to me as I've never seen them in Mexico but it's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Their cielo, mar, y tierra had chorizo, chicken, asada, shrimp, nopales, and cheese all on top of a salsa verde. What else do you need!? The churros were also a highlight for me! I didn't even need the chocolate sauce! The jarrito and the prickly pear margarita were my favorite drinks! I will definitely be going back to try more of their breakfast menu too!"
"I was a bit in between whether to give it 4 or 5 stars, but I'm going 5 because I had such an all around enjoyable meal. Who knew that a Mexican restaurant in a gas station could be this good.My buddy and I wanted to try a couple of things. Our server was outstanding. I've never had cuisine from Mexico City, so we had a ton of questions for our server. She explained every item beautifully and gave us some solid recommendations. We ordered a Quekas and Pambazos with the intent to share both items. When our food came, they split the 2 items we ordered and made us a plate with 1/2 of each item. We didn't ask or expect this service. I fully expected to cut it in half ourselves and share, but they did it all for us. That was super customer service in my opinion. The best way to describe the Quekas is the best quesadilla you've ever had in your life. From the fresh tortilla to all the filling inside, it was far and away the best quesadilla I've had in my life. The Pambazos was fun. You're definitely getting messy eating this. The bun was super soft on the inside, like a cloud. The sandwich was covered in a guajillo pepper sauce. My fingers turned red from the sauce, but it was so worth it. Super tasty sandwich and reminded me of a less messy torta ahogada. Yum yum yum! I wish we had this place here in Vegas."
"I LOVE this place for Mexican food! It's always fresh and hot and exactly what I ordered. The staff is always top notch. The wait is never long. It's very clean which I cannot say about other restaurants in town that I would expect more from. Try this place! You will not regret it!"
"Great homemade chips. Had a guacamole tostada and enchilada.Good marg, Good service - what's not to like?"
"I love the pescado frito here and we decided on Valentine's dinner here. Affordable and unpretentious with solid food. Server was friendly and personable. My fish was on point. Only thing is the burrito Colorado has less meat in it now. More rice to make up for it so less satisfying."
"Illegal Pete's Du is our "go to" spot for delicious food (thanks for having black olives), tasty margs and beer, and super service! We love our spot at the bar so we can chat with the team. Hugs to you all! (You know who you are.)"
"I discovered Illegal Pete's in a roundabout way. I was at an event with a taco bar and it was really good. I asked who catered it and was Illegal Pete's!I had to check out the restaurant. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it was still good. It's very similar to Chipotle in how you go to the counter and go through the process of having your burrito, taco, or bowl put together with your choice of ingredients as your go down the line. All the staff is super nice and they make you feel like a welcome and valued customer. The biggest difference from Chipotle is that they have a full bar. There's plenty of seating...mostly long tables with chairs on both sides. My friend had a fish taco and said it was one of the best he's ever had!! It was a generous piece of fish, he said. I had a burrito. The food is good quality. It was about $25 for two burritos. If I went back, I'd get a bowl instead of a burrito. The tortilla gets soggy pretty fast."
"We stopped in here in a whim. My girlfriend and I were hungry and saw this place. We both love Mexican food and new places are always fun to try. We are sure glad we stopped in. The staff was extremely pleasant and the seating area was clean and wh maintained. Our food was made fresh and was served hot and extremely well prepared. The portions were huge and I had to get half of mine for the road. The beans and rice were especially good and the prices were reasonable. Plenty of private parking right in front of the building. We will gladly return to this restaurant in the very near future."
"We purchased a coupon package for Casa Caliente from some high school kids for their football team fundraiser. We had come here several times years ago, but kind of forgot about it because we're big fans of the local small-chain competitor Los Dos Potrillos. Since we had the coupons, we decided to give this establishment a try. The portions are enormous, the house margaritas very tasty, and the complimentary chips come with three different salsas for dipping - a very mild corn salsa, pico de gallo, and a salsa picante that's perhaps a little spicier than that found in most local Mexican restaurants. We've returned a couple of times and found the food quite good, and the service friendly, prompt and courteous each time. My one mild complaint is that the food could be hotter when it comes out of the kitchen. The coupons expire with the New Year, so we'll be torn between Casa Caliente and Los Dos the next time we're hungry for Mexican. The Littleton and Highlands Ranch locations of Los Dos Potrillos get really packed on the weekend, so this might be a good alternative for those who don't like to wait for a table."
"I like this place. It's friendly, unassuming, and a great place to meet friends for a beer and/or dinner. Our waitress was friendly and happy to split the bill four ways for us.I had a steak fajita burrito, and the steak was better than I expected: it was lean, well-seasoned, and tender."
"We love the food and service At Guadalajara Family Mexican. It is consistently great food. We have visited with 2 people or as much as 10 and the service has been the same each time. The ambience is welcoming and relaxing. There are tables and booths. After the lockdown and businesses reopened Guadalajara's was the only restaurant we noticed that used that time to care for the restaurant. It looked new, fresh and clean. This is our best go to!!"
"Apparently I was on a Tex Mex kick the last time I was in COS. We had La Casita one day and Zapata the next while in town for a long weekend. Zapata was the favorite, even though we really didn't try too much of the menu. Service was friendly and our food came out fast.We went in for breakfast burritos, and grabbed an extra Cali burrito for later. The bacon, egg, potato and cheese bfast burrito was a good size and a touch salty. I really like how they have a salsa bar inside with several options - the roasted red and avocado salsas were our favorites. Our Cali burrito (asada, fries, cheese) traveled well and we ended up eating it later in the day on the road. Regulars recommended their Zapata burrito and fish tacos, which we'll keep in mind for the future, since family lives nearby."
"Really good Mexican breakfast. Their salsa is spicy but very flavorful. I liked their rice and beans a lot too. Our server was nice and efficient."
"Easy access. I use walker or canes; this has a sloped entry or a two step approach. Great! Covered open air dining (with umbrella for each table) or in inner rooms. Background music not overly loud; we conversed easily in the open seating area. Food was prepared well, hot & tasty. Our waitress was attentive, alert to our needs & helpful in selections. Being a "senior," I could select from the children's menu: so, I'll not be eating leftovers this week. . Cost: quite reasonable for what we ate. Easy off-on from I-25; just go west, folks; go west!"
"We've been coming to El Tejado every time we've come to Denver. The restaurant is large, with a sizable parking lot and patio. It does tend to get crowded on weekends but we've generally never had to wait. Staff here is very friendly and efficient. The food is pretty usual Mexican fare, but we love the green chili here. El Tejado serves it thin more like a stew, and it's very tomato-y with very little meat. The chili packs some serious heat if you order it spicy, so beware! Food portions come pretty large, and the first chips and salsa is free for the table. All the burritos come smothered and have a healthy filling of protein and beans without too much filler. They serve massive margaritas here which look like a very popular option."
