"If you're looking for fancy schmancy keep going. If you need a simple place that is ridiculously clean and close to all the Royal Gorge adventures this is it. Eva at the front desk is so nice"
"Decent small hotel on a fairly quiet street away from all the major chain hotels on Highway 50. Had a nice room with an efficiency but didn't need the kitchen. Easy 1/2 mile walk to downtown. Front desk people were nice. The shower was hot but a little on the small side. No air conditioning in room 19 so beware hot weather."
"Stopped in here super late and checked out pretty early but the place was very clean and comfy. Workers were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The place had a scented aroma throughout the whole building that whole strong I enjoyed it a lot. Smelled fresh and nice. Due to covid the pool was closed but they did offer to go grab bags. So that was a positive as well. You can usually never go wrong with a Marriott. This location is no different. I can't Duran much on location as I did not spend much time there. But the establishment and staff itself was great."
"Look- it's not easy to find a cheap clean hotel near a ski resort that also allows pets. Some of the reviews regarding the dated nature of the hotel are a little harsh. Yes. It's dated and there is wear and tear but our room was clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable and our tv worked. I think it would be great to have a mini fridge and/or microwave. There's a keurig for coffee and fresh toiletries. All in all for a no frills place it's a nice spot to rest your head before hitting monarch. We did not go in the pool but there were families swimming and there's a cute weight/game room. We ate breakfast at the cafe which was also good. Recommend the breakfast burrito if it is on the menu for the day!"
"Service- very minimal service here except the cleaning staff. They did a spectacular job cleaning..really better than most hotelsRooms - they are good for the price range but I think it's on the border of a 3 or 4 Star experience..the toiletries are 4 or 5 Star and do is the bed quality. Everything else about the room is 3 stars Location is awesome! Ski in and out locationBottom line.. stay here for the location. The price to quality ratio is on par. This hotel is rated a 4 Star but I'd say it's on the edge to 3 stars.ProsLocation ski in and out Toiletries are nice Bed is very comfortable Stay came with ski life passes ConsHot tub and pool are very smallThere are some coupons that come with the stay but we didn't find any useful The decor in the room is mediocre..on par with a 3 starService is very minimal"
"3.5+ rounded up. Overall, I would stay here again for a good price. This place is located in a beautiful area and near Manitou Springs and Woodland Park. The room I was in was spacious, with a king size bed, a portable electric heater, and an equipped kitchen with a full stove and oven. Another perk was the large television mounted. I'm guessing 50-52inch. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, although they are not present full-time. Expect most communication and interactions, if not all of it to be via email. As I stated, for a good price I would stay here again but would need to be prepared for the below. Considerations:- **WARNING** I was stuck with no Toilet Paper!!!Yup, that was horrible! Check as soon as you arrive, Lol! You have been warned!- Charged full amount 30 days prior! And it was only a two-day stay, not a two-week reservation or anything like that! - Must have email access the day of arrival. An email on how to gain access to your room will be sent after 12:00 pm on the day of arrival.- Incredibly hard to get into tub/shower, and there was no shower curtain (See pic).- Not disabled/handicap friendly, prepare for stairs too. - Can be noisy throughout the night; lots of creaking wood.- Poor cellular and mobile data reception (which is normal for the area); however, they do have WiFi access. - Expect most communication and interactions, if not all of it to be via email/phone. This can seem like a plus with no check-in/out, but maybe it's not during an immediate emergency... Like when there's no TP! =p"
"So glad to see the change in ownership. The last owner was a monster! Wishing you guys a successful venture!"
"I love castles! And who would have thought Colorado Springs to be the home of an English style castle? Aside from offering a bed and breakfast service as well as serving as a conference center to the Navigators, Glen Eyrie also offers castle tours and tea time hours boasting a grand view complete with wildlife on its grounds.Because I found out about tea time last minute, I wasn't able to book a tea time during our stay but we did take a tour and it was quite fantastic. Learning the history of the castle, walking around the grounds, marveling at the scenery surrounding the castle was quite a magnificent experience! While we weren't able to check out a lot of the rooms due to people staying in them at the time, we did get to see quite a few rooms in the castle, including the main hall which was grand and can now host conferences and events. Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable and was able to explain the origin of some of the pieces in the castle. There was tea going on when we went so we couldn't explore that room but we were given the chance to peak at the room. They also have an English rose garden within the grounds but it wasn't in bloom when we went. The lawns were well manicured though and we saw a few creatures roaming around freely. The area is absolutely gorgeous and worth a visit either to stay, just for the tour or just for tea!"
"Great stay! Perfect location for Royal Gorge. Check in was fast and easy. Kind lady at the front desk gave us lots of dinner choices and let us know what places would be open and/or closed. Room was clean and in good condition. Would stay again."
"I hosted a fabulous event at Kinship Landing this past weekend. We rented out the beautiful Greenhaus for our wedding rehearsal lunch. The space was just right, and the staff was incredibly accommodating as always! The event coordinator we planned with was attentive and communicative, and every detail was perfect. She helped us narrow down the banquet menu to just a few options for ease and kept me updated on all deadlines for my guest count and lunch orders. The bartender the day of the event was so sweet and did an excellent job as well. I highly recommend hosting an event at Kinship Landing. They deliver exceptional customer service, a welcoming ambiance, delicious food, and close attention to detail."
"My wife and I stayed at Pikes Peak Inn for 3 nights in early April. Since it was off season, there was only 2-3 rooms booked so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The owners are extremely pleasant and personable. The bedrooms are large and the bathroom was tiny, but did have good water pressure. Situated next to Fountain Creek, you can sit outside under the gazebo and listen to the rushing water. The best part is the location, only a half block from where the main strip starts, tons to see and do.This will definitely be my home base on future returns to the area."
"I stayed here for about 3 weeks for a business trip. I worked with the regional sales manager, Sarah, who was a tremendous help in allowing me to get accommodations for about 15 folks at an incredibly fair rate. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast area is arranged nicely and has plenty of space, and the fire pit/darts outside were a fan favorite. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. A few of my favorite things about Springhill's are the dedicated work space and couch so you can comfortably work and relax without feeling like you're stuck in a small room."

We had no idea what to expect when we came here. We just looked on reviews online and I did a booking online with the booking.com. We walked in and greeted by a nice man. He had my reservation up and got us our room within less than five minutes. The room is small but very cute. Everything seems very clean and probably the cleanest restrooms I've seen!! The pricing was great I paid $91 for one night which was the most affordable around. The only thing would be that my partner said he didn't like was that they need a bigger ice machine lol but that's really not a problem at all. Great customer service, fantastic pricing and nice clean room!

I have nothing but good things to share about the staff of the Woodland Motel! I found them to be extremely accommodating, kind, and, professional. I truly have not dealt with more empathetic and kind-hearted folks than the folks working here! From the front desk to management, rest assured that they will take care of you. They are very easy to work with (even across different time zones), which is not something you encounter with most hotels these days. Shoutout to Ben for being an amazing example of world-class customer service! He was such a delight to work with! If we didn't live on the East Coast I would want to be friends with him! This guys needs a raise, a promotion, or both, he seriously deserves it. I hope that everyone considering staying here jumps at the opportunity! If you don't, you're missing out. I know for a fact that we will make it a point to stay at this motel every time we visit Colorado.

I had a chance to stay at SpringHill Suites Denver for a couple of nights while visiting Denver. This hotel is relatively new, modern and very clean...and about 20-25 minutes driver to downtown Denver. There are many things I like about this hotel. First, the cleanliness + modernism is there from the lobby, entrance and inside the room. Second, the parking lot didn't seem to be crowded at all. There were always spaces open to park (for free!) even towards the front entrance of the hotel. Third, the staff were really nice and helpful throughout the day+night and all opportunities I had to interact with them. And..finally, the spread of breakfast has now resumed and not a breakfast bag during peak-COVID anymore! The only thing that made me minus a 1 star though was that while the room key is a tap key (no longer a card that you insert in a slot), my key failed to work all 3 nights that I was staying there. So, it was sort of annoying when you got to your room...found out the key no longer worked...and had to go back down to the lobby to get it rekeyed again and head back to the room.

This is an older, rustic mountain lodge, located just a few miles from Monarch Pass. We drove right past it the first time, as there doesn't seem to be any signs telling us what it was. It's definitely an old lodge and shows many signs of age, but it still has a great vibe. We got two actual keys for our room, but only one worked. We told the front desk staff and she got another one from the back, which also didn't work! I'm wondering when they'll update to key cards. The room itself was big, had a beautiful view, and was very comfortable. A little coffee maker was there, but no microwave or fridge. I also didn't see a hair dryer. The pool was indoor and heated, so we took advantage of that. There is also a peaceful little lake in the back that we enjoyed. We ate supper in the restaurant. Due to it being slow season, they had a limited menu. I enjoyed my hamburger and the fries were some of the best I've ever had! There was one person working as cook, server, host, bartender, etc, but he did great! Everyone on staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay. A bonus was seeing some cool wildlife as we left the next morning!

We came in the summer for a wedding in the area. We had friends staying at various hotels and b&b properties; they all had complaints. The Lodge at Mountaineer Square was great!!!Very nice spacious rooms & the hotel was walking distance to the ski lift at Crested Butte. All the staff were very friendly. Good view out our window too.Plus it was air conditioned; some other properties were not. Route 66 restaurant on the back courtyard had large outside decks with amazing views of the mountains. The little town is fun with lots of good restaurants & shops!I will definitely come back to Crested Butte, AND I would certainly stay at this Lodge again!!!Highly recommend.

If you are looking for luxury accommodations, this is not your hotel. This hotel is a charming turn of the century stage coach stop that is slowly being renovated. The check in process is contact free, which I thoroughly enjoy. It was simple and easy. Get a text, and a door code and you're on your own .The views from the private balcony were awesome although private maybe is not the word . But you did have your own sections of balcony . Plenty of wild life to be seen. The room was smaller than expected but that's what you get for this time period. The room had a small Pullman kitchen which is very convenient , but the furniture was a little large for the small space . The room was clean cute and the bathroom was very clean which I appreciated. The hotel is in a quaint little town with a great breakfast venue called The Pantry and right across the street is a lake . It's a very short drive into the larger city of Woodland Park . I for one would definitely stay here again . And if you're looking for 420 friendly this is your place.

Glen Eyrie is a beautiful location right next to the Garden of the Gods. My family loved getting to walk around the property and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We saw lots of wildlife, ranging from mountain goats, squirrels, turkeys... A friend of ours saw a bear earlier this summer. He contacted the grounds keeper and they were aware of the situation and actively monitoring it. The was a wedding taking place during our visit and I think this would be such a picturesque place for a wedding. I've stayed here for conferences in the past and the lodging are great and the food in the dining hall is good. Lots of hiking options around the property and we even got an impromptu tour from one of the docents. Great customer service. We ended our trip with a stop in the bookstore/ gift shop/ coffee house. Each season brings a new beauty to the Glen and it's definitely worth a visit.

"If you don't want cheap or high end hotel costs, this venue is a great consideration. Check in was easy. Staff very friendly. Hotel room was reasonably priced, clean, and everything worked well. Towels are decent and hotel did not stink. We had a good experience, no bugs of any sort, and good sleep."
"We booked this hotel to experience the macabre, goth and serial killer theme it provided and were able to make it coincide with the Steampunk festival. I booked online, got a door code for a key I never needed because vendors were using the same door to set up downstairs. Our room, #7 Jack the Ripper, like all rooms had keys on the wall by the doors and we let ourselves in. We loved our room, so much history and info. The common areas like the dining room, bathrooms (only 1 pictured) and the amazing kitchen were decorated in the same aesthetic. Everything was clean and well stocked. Victor doesn't offer much in the way of dining (2 cafes and 2 bars) so we walked over to the general store and were able to make food on the kitchen. Beds were SO comfortable. Only downside was thin walls (expected in a historic building) and our door would not stay shut unless slammed or locked. Still, we plan on retuning and staying in another themed room."
"If there's one thing I love about people who restore vintage travel trailers (there are many things I love, to be honest), it's that they love to take a theme and play it out until it's almost overdone. Almost. The Starlite Campground has several vintage trailers, each with their own theme (my friend stayed in the Flamingo Lounge), that will send you in to fits of giddy nostalgia. Each trailer has been lovingly restored with some modern amenities added here and there, but overall, they've been kept mostly vintage. As someone who has restored a trailer of her own in the past, I have immense respect for all of the work put into each of these trailers. This place is perfect for a weekend getaway! With a pool, showers, convenience store, and astounding views of the Royal Gorge, you really could not ask for a better place for some "glamping" (god, I hate that word).A note about the owner, Sylvia. She is one of the warmest, most effervescent personalities I've met, but she's wildly protective of her property. This is not the place to swing up to and then start walking around without first checking in. Should you do this, you will be confronted. This is partially for the privacy of the guests who are staying at the campground (the number one rule even after you've checked in it NO PEEPING). Respect the fact that this is private property and talk to the owner before you drive past the lobby/store and you will be greeted by a smiling, accommodating host."
"Very pleasant stay a bit off the beaten path! We stayed in the RV, ate at the cafe and chatted with folks from all over! Right on the river - so relaxing!"
"Just look at the neon sign! My kind of mom and pop place. There's not much to choose from in Canon City. We ended up here and stayed 2 nights. The owner was very nice and she DID offer fresh towels on day 2. Room was recently remodeled Bed very comfortable. Clean. Fridge and microwave. Nice smoking area in the courtyard. Ice machine quit working while we were there. But hey it was a bargain at $60 a night. I'd definitely stay there again."
"Stayed one night in Aspen and was pleasantly surprised of our stay here at Mountain Chalet. With surrounding five star hotels like St Regis just across the street, I was very well pleased of the accommodation we had here. Love this local somewhat boutique hotel. It's old but well maintained. There's underground parking for guests. Location was exceptional. Walking distance to everything. Saturday we walked to their farmers marketThe guest services were all fantastic and attentive. You definitely feel like your at home and on vacation at the same time. They let us check in a lil early. Had some complimentary coffee/tea/hot cocoa. The room was spacious with a kitchenette. There's so many amenities in this hotel like a heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi tub, library, etc. and don't forget their complimentary breakfast which changes menu daily. For Sunday they offered Eggs Benedict. They also had side dishes like a variety of fruits, yogurt, oats, muesli etc. such a treat! I see why so many people here stay for a long time. Highly recommend if you're in Aspen"
"The man at the front desk was very kind even though we showed up at 11 pm! Room was clean and it was only an hour away from the great sand dunes. Great experience!"
"This review is long overdue. We stayed at the Rusted Poppy almostca year ago while on a business trip. We were blown away by the decor of the place, as well as the warmth and hospitality of our hosts. We even jokinkly refer to this now as the "bed and food all the time" because of the amount of snacks that were always available. Our favorite were the s' mores outside at the firepit! We stayed in the master suite, and this is now the standard against we rate all other bed and breakfasts. The enclosed patio is amazing and quiet, and the bathroom is something that most people would die to have in their own homes. We especially loved the custom coffee. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the ceiling fans make it extra nice at night. Even though we didn't end up taking the offer in Pueblo, we will definitely be back, just to stay at this place!"
"Marriott has a business district over here with a Courtyard, Springhill, and Townplace all within about 100' of each other. I stayed at Townplace, which was great for my one night. Comfortable bed, full size fridge, microwave, and desk space. Nice TV with Netflix. Even a view of the river walk, and there's an entry point about a three minute walk away. Don't miss it! Parking at the hotel is free and pets are welcome. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. Free buffet breakfast in the morning - very basic, but appreciated."
"Stayed at A Bed on the Arkansas for two nights while in Buena Vista.Outside Buena Vista proper, A Bed on the Arkansas can be a little tricky to find. The B&B is located behind other businesses that are directly on the highway. It should be noted that this is all near the Buena Vista Correctional Facility, a detail you won't find mentioned anywhere. I mention it in case you care about these things. A Bed on the Arkansas is run by The Adventure Company which focuses on whitewater rafting, so if you're interested in that, I bet it would be very convenient to stay here.Generally, accommodations are clean and homey. The mini-fridge comes stocked with complimentary water and OJ; there is also a coffee-maker with complimentary coffee (the maker, sadly, did not do the coffee justice). Breakfast is a basket of Otis Spunkmeyer muffins and apples or oranges left outside your door. Will probably stay again when in Buena Vista."
"This is a great place to stay , reasonably priced, clean, fluffy pillows and comforters are so soft, the breakfast is delicious lots to choose from.and the staff are so nice and friendly especially SEBI , he was smiling everytime I saw him at the front desk.and such a hard worker he was outside cleaning something on the sidewalk, it's so nice to see that he takes such pride in his job, and making people happy and comfortable were they are staying. I will definitely be back in the near future, and its in a good neighborhood, and the grocery store and many other stores to eat at right in the same parking lot."
"Usually stay at the Marriott in DTC when come back for business and I'm so happy to now have this Kimptom in the area. I can't wait to stay here again!! Everyone was professional, helpful, kind. The hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are comfortable, beautifully decorated and well designed. They offer morning coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar + nightly happy hour with even non-alcoholic options too. I loved my room and every interaction with the staff. Highly recommend."
"5 Stars No Doubt! We LOVED staying here. We had stayed here in the summer before... but winter is PRIME. It's literally a step from the lift. You can't get any closer if you tried. It's definitely the best option in CB! The staff was incredible! Shout out to Alex at check in - he was amazing and said he had only been there for 6 weeks?! Would not have guessed - he was awesome! The bar José is open ALL DAY and they were just breaking ground on a lobby bar. It's a bit outdated - but honestly, it's so Crested Butte. It's not for the luxurious it's for the adventurous and that's what makes the town so amazing. I could care less if there was even a TV in the room - we were barely in there. Rooms are so spacious with balconies. We are already planning our next trip here!"
"This property is close to everything. It's a no frills property, but nicely kept, I mean clean, and for those on a budget, it's perfect. The owners really strive on cleanliness, that the guests are satisfied, and try to provide a nice atmosphere. They absolutely will not tolerate any nonsense. Deposits do apply, dogs are allowed too with additional deposit (ask mgmt)."
"A gem The restoration team did a super jobCheck in was a breeze Room was great Cody : front desk, bar tender etc... litterly Chief Cook and bottle washer : was super helpful by phone and very pleasant and friendly in person"
"We chose to stay at the Dunes Inn because it is located near the town's only EV charging stations. The woman who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were showing their wear and could use an updating. A number of weird sounds woke us up during the night. The bathroom is in need of modernization. The hotel does provide a voucher for breakfast at their restaurant...the food was barely edible, but that's a separate review."
"We arrived at this hotel for a romantic two day get away. The first thing we noticed when we walked into the lobby was the strong smell of marijuana. I mentioned it to the front desk clerk and he said people smoke by the entrance and the smell wafts into the building. It's a really strong smell and hard to ignore. Our room was a king room on the first floor. A beautiful view from our room but there was hair in our bathtub, a "skid" mark in the toilet and the toilet ran continuously the entire time we were there. The smell of weed was strong in our room as well and kind of gave me a headache. This was more like a hostel than a hotel. The mattress was not especially comfortable either. The staff were extremely pleasant and the shuttle was extremely convenient. All in all, it's a lower end mountain town type hotel and I wouldn't choose to stay there again."
"For my birthday my husband graciously treated me to a night at this historic hotel in Manitou Springs. It was built I believe around 1873, and was once a stagecoach stop. Several celebrities from years past have stayed there, including President Teddy Roosevelt, Thomas Edison, Clark Gable and showman, P.T. Barnum, to name few. Styled in Victorian style, we stayed in the P.T. Barnum suite. The room was very nice, only one snafu. My husband had arranged for champagne and a rose and chocolate covered strawberries and candies to be in the room. They were there, but so were 3 men working on the air conditioning. They were in our room for almost an hour, trying to fix whatever problem was going on. Not exactly romantic and that was kind of a bummer. I'm kinda shocked they actually let us into the room while repairs were going on, but whatever. Finally, the workman left and it was a nice stay from that point on. We had breakfast in the dining room the following morning. My husband opted for the breakfast buffet, and I ordered the Croque Monsiuer sandwich with a side of home fries. Mimosas were delicious. Despite the rocky start, we had a nice visit and I would return."
"We eat breakfast here every Sunday. It is a beautiful drive up to San Isabel. I love their breakfast, and my second favorite is to have their Chef Salad for dinner. If we are going to have a large group, we call ahead and they always have a place for us. The service is warm and friendly, with a quiet mountain atmosphere. Worth the drive up the mountain!"
"Yep - as everyone else has pointed an absolute 5 star--no doubt about it--the most hidden gem in Colorado. An old hospital for teller county each of the patients rooms have been remodeled for hotel! Original transom frame and glass! It's almost something from a movie! Old portraits and antiques as well! You guys must must must see this place!!!!"
"Probably 3.5 stars, but I can't give that and I am feeling generous today.A bit out of the way, and looks like something out of a 60s movie. It appears to be a condo building where a large(?) percentage of the residents rent out their rooms to the hotel agency. Many residents live here year round.Clearly everything inside is dated, but I had a pleasant stay here. I would not be surprised if the quality varied greatly from room to room. The VERY COLD air made up for some of the dated décor. The free water was greatly appreciated after a long dehydrating day! Free parking!Slightly disappointed that they do not allow dogs since there were so many residents with dogs in the building, but that is fine since it was clearly posted when I made my reservation and I did not have one with me this trip. The free breakfast was surprisingly good, but it took almost an hour to get after ordering and I had to wait 15-20 minutes before ordering. Their was only one person to take the order and cook the food. If I had known it was going to take that long I would have just gone to McDonalds across the street."
"This ranch is absolutely amazing. From the accommodations, to staff, to the view and location this place is 5 stars! I hope to be able to go back soon. Highly recommended!"
"Loved it. Great vibe and unique decor, and the owner was really friendly and accommodating. It's got a style and he fully embraces it. Excellent location if you're heading to the Dunes or Creede or the surrounding area.Yes, there are things that may need repair, but it's small stuff: tiles, a loose or disconnected headboard, etcetera. It's fantastic for the price and it's CLEAN. That's the most important part. No bedbugs (I check at EVERY location I visit). It's also an easy walk to late night food. (I mean, late night in these towns is like 8pm, but you get it.)"
