A Flower Girl's Dream
"This owner has taken over and renamed a shop on Weber that is best described as on the backside of the Bon Shopping Center.We needed two funeral pieces, one a wreath similar to a casket piece but actually to be used on a table and the urn placed in the center. We were given tips on how to place the urn--put some books under it if it was too low. The front of the piece was marked so that the flowers were presented in the best way possible.The second piece was a vase with a tropical theme. The decedent was fond of birds of paradise, hence the theme.Everything was done as promised, the flowers were fresh.I wrote the above 2/122019. I revisited on the occasion of my 48th wedding anniversary. I took in my heavy crystal vase and asked that 25 carnations be arranged in it. No special significance to 25 other than I used to be a carnation grower and knew that bunches were always in 25's.Sheri had just received a carnation shipment so I could choose from what just came in. I was thinking pink, but I prefer a soft pink and these tended to be more hot pink. Had some nice looking yellow carnations so I went there. I like my carnations to be arranged as one would arrange roses--which I also used to grow. It has been ten days and the arrangement looks great after I removed one carnation yesterday.I come from a flower-loving and using family, I'm going to let them all know that this is the place to go when ordering flowers for delivery in Colorado Springs."
