I m so used to paying higher prices at the mall and had to double take on the price. $7.95 for gyro sandwich, $12.50 for gyro with salad.The gentleman who handed me the bag was super friendly and told me to " safe drive home." What a nice gesture.Judging from the amount of food, just the Greek salad with meat added will be plenty for two people (light eater)."

"Alfonso's is a fast food Mexican restaurant with a drive thru and indoor/outdoor seating. I ordered the Taco Salad, which at first glance looked like a small, sad pile of shredded lettuce and cheese. But digging into the salad revealed that it was actually more like a complex, multi-layered dip. Built on a fried tortilla bowl was a layer of refried beans, then a generous portion of juicy shredded beef, peppers, tomatoes, salsas, guacamole, and sour cream. I also got their Friday special--a $2.50 junior quesadilla, made of a flour tortilla grilled with a layer of shredded processed cheese. While tasty, the layer of cheese was overwhelmingly salty, though the quesadilla went nicely with the mild salsa verde and the spicy salsa roja on the side. Overall, this was a simple but tasty restaurant turning out great Mexican food at unbelievable prices!"

"A hidden gem! Came here based on a friends recommendation and it did not disappoint! The gyros were tasty. Definitely satisfies a craving if you like gyros. I got the gyros plate which was very filling. My husband ordered a gyro that included fries in the sandwich along with the usual fillings. He went on and on about this gyro and how good it was! There's also a kids meal available with gyro meat, fries, and a juice box. You can sub the gyro meat for chicken nuggets. The prices are very reasonable and the family who owns this restaurant is very friendly."

It appears they opened a few months ago down South Broadway in Englewood. From the outside looking in, it appears like they took over another fast food establishment.After a show at the Gothic, I pulled up Yelp and Alvarados was my one way ticket to enlightenment. Were my expectations high? Absolutely not, despite the solid Yelp score. I pulled up to the drive thru and there has to be 100 items on there. Say whaaaaaat?!I immediately became overwhelmed and paranoid that the cars behind me thought I was taking too long. So I landed on some tacos, Carnitas, Adovada and Spicy Chicken. Which I figured to be a safe bet. Price point was fine and to my surprise, the tacos were LOADED UP to the brim. The cashier threw me a bunch of red and green salsa, too.The verdict is in: these are solid late night tacos that are worth going out the way for if T-Bell is what you're in the mood for (thumbs down). The food was fresh and filled with delicious meat. I wish the salsas had a little bit more kick, but that's just me. The spicy chicken taco did have good heat though!Consider this man impressed. Especially since they're open 24/7. For Denver, that is huge, HUGE I tell you! Wish it was a little closer to me, but who am I to complain? If I'm seeing a show at the Gothic or have an event nearby that gets out late, you can find me scarfing down tacos in the Alvarados drive thru!"

"This type of Mexican food (Cali style) is one of my favorites. I love a place with really good carne asada. People kept telling me to try Taco Star and I have no idea why I have been sleeping on it, but the other night we finally decided to try it. Got 2 carne asada tacos, one crunchy ground beef taco and carne asade fries. All of the tacos were amazing. Especially with the tomatillo salsa. That one is my favorite. I wish they gave more of it. The carne asada fries were good, but I felt like they lacked something. The carne asada was delicious but I wanted more stuff on top to make it at least seem like loaded. Otherwise, the price is right and the location is close to our house so I will make sure to add this to our taco list of places to rotate. I would go back just for the carne asada."

"After a meeting nearby, I found myself craving something new. A quick search brought me to Blazing Bird. PRO: Located across from the Ann Schutz Campus off I-225 and Colfax, Blazing Bird is in a prime location. CON: This location has notoriously terrible parking, and it can be difficult to enter and exit the parking lot. Oof. PRO: There's a variety of options that are all customizable in spice level to cater to your preference. CON: Like others have said, their hot isn't as hot as spice-lovers would like. I also noted that the hot really wasn't that hot. Perhaps the adjective "blazing" is a stretch here. Perhaps Seasoned Bird would be a more fitting name... PRO: Guy working at the register was nice enough to bring my order to my table. CON: This really didn't make up for the awkward experience ordering. I just don't think the guy at the register understood that I wanted a meal, but instead of a drink, I wanted a milkshake. That turned into a whole thing. I ended up with a vanilla milkshake that accidentally had a squirt of chocolate and a drink. Plus, bringing my order to my table held up the line of patrons waiting to order. Unfortunately this all just made it a meh experience. It was an okay experience, but I'm not rushing back to Blazing Bird anytime soon."

"This is one of the most unassuming places from both outside and inside. It looks like it may have been an old fast food joint switched over? All that being said, food was delicious. Liked the small salsa bar they had to offer. Prices were actually reasonable. We tried a few of the tacos (carne asada, carnitas), quesabirria (yum) and my son got the cheese quesadilla (standard meal for a 3 year old) but he devoured it!We will gladly come back and try more of the menu!"

"Ever since trying whataburger in the southwest, I have been waiting for there to be a location I can go to. I live in Virginia and so my only hope was that they would pop up in the springs where my fam lives. Lo and behold, here they are. The location is super clean and bright. I went at a random time during they day so it wasn't busy. The service was excellent and the food was just as good as I remember. I got the patty melt, fries and the holy grail: jalapeño ranch to dip it all in. The patty melt was fresh and juicy and was perfection dipped in the ranch. I only take one star off because their fries are not in the top of fries I've had, but they do the job and again with the jalapeño ranch on them-delicious. Can't wait to come back on my next visit!"

"$16.70 for a gyro, salad and a drink is very steep. However if you spin around the food court at Park Meadows, you'll notice many unhealthy options until you see Renzio's! They're not the happiest there and they talk to you as if they have to be there. I guess you gotta make a buck some how.Regardless, the food is really good and if you request the tzatziki sauce on the side your gyro won't be drowning in big globs. The lamb meat is great and the salad with a light vinaigrette dressing does the trick! Inflation has done all sorts of things to the supply chain and the final product but at least Renzio's is consistent and that's why I keep returning."

It was full of obviously local people, very middle eastern, a little puzzled why an impossibly white northern European guy was there, but they helped me navigate the odd ordering and checkout arrangement with friendly smiles. But even better - there were several loaves of a fresh, flat-ish bread wrapped up and ready to go. $4 for two loaves. Picked one up for our seminar group. The first loaf disappeared RIGHT away, the second was savored later with wine and cheese. Next time - there was a very odd-looking but deLICious smelling brown loaf that I was told was a nice sweet bread variety. Well I have been there probably 5 or 6 times and am still loving it. It is now my favorite sandwich place .We happened to stop by here just to try it out. My favorite is their #5 awesome Super Italian hoagie. Love that the meats are sliced for your sandwich as part of your order. Also love the high stacked sandwich with the meats, cheese and lettuce, tomato, onions and Mike's sauce (oil and vinegar, oregano, salt and pepper). Soo soo good! The bread is not thick and heavy but just right. Everything about it is just so heavenly!"

"My husband is from Colorado Springs and always has to make a stop at Alfonoso's when we are back here visiting! This was our first time at their new location. It's very spacious, colorful, and clean on the inside. Plenty of tables for indoor seating. We went with our usual which is the bacon breakfast burrito. You MUST get them with their homemade green and red salsas, the burrito isn't the same without it. The green adds the flavor, the red adds the spice. These burritos are huge, I ate half of mine and saved the other half for later. I also decided we cannot come here without getting a churro (even when here at 10am) because they are that good. I've heard good things about the apple churro but they were out of them that day. We went with the chocolate churro and it was delicious! The staff are friendly, food comes out quickly, prices are very affordable for the quantity that you get. It's no surprise that we had another solid 5-star experience here, we will keep coming back when we are in town!"

Love at 1st site and actually never had chance to try it till today.How was it?.It was lot better than I expected. How was it compare to Chick-fil-A? It was spicier, meatier and buns were lot better. Chicken pattie were crispy till the last bite and the spicy flavor was definitely stronger than the competition. $4.99 for sandwich at here, $5.19 at Chick-fil-A. Do not know the quality of chickens but definitely a good alternative to one another to try different flavors.
