"A family friendly church where you can connect with your neighbors and fellow believers. Within site of the mountains, but away from the hustle of the main streets in town. CCTV broadcast of the service from Woodmen Valley Chapel's other location(s) or teaching live on when scheduled at this campus."
"I was saved here, still here. Great non-denominational place to build your relationship with God! Great staff and congregation. We'll be part of your family!"
"Hip, relevant and proactive in the community around them. Visiting a friend we went here on a Sunday morning. Everyone was friendly, worship was great and the pastor had some good things to say that lined up with scripture. This church seems to be fitted out in an old warehouse. They really did a great job with it."
"First Presbyterian is a large church in downtown Colorado Springs. The new service schedule includes 8:30 and 10 AM traditional services with hymns and a large choir. 9:50 AM and 5 PM are contemporary services (The 5 PM is an especially relaxed "come as you are" atmosphere). 11:30 AM is a blended service with a youth choir. Food is served before all the services in the fellowship hall.Head pastor Jim Singleton is known as an excellent and thoughtful teacher. Some special ministries the church offers include divorce recovery and grief workshops, a young adult community, the Alpha program for those new to the Christian faith, and extensive children's and youth programs.Although it's big, First Pres is a very welcoming, friendly community. Check out the website at www.first-pres.org"
"This church has been a part of Woodland Park for nearly 100 years. Lots of great programs to support those in need in the community. Great teaching too."
"We found this church when we moved across town and Life Chapel has been our church ever since (about 8 month now).We absolutely love pastor Bryan Merritt and everyone who works so hard, putting the Sunday Morning Service together. Life Chapel also offers child care and youth group/service, Wednesday night bible study and many other groups and services. If you haven't found the right church yet, you are welcome at Life Chapel and we hope to see you there."
"Came to this church on Xmas eve with some friends for the musical service. I am not religious, but I enjoy live music in all its forms and I am a total sucker for organ music. That's all I needed to know to agree to the service. I was pleasantly surprised by the architecture of this little gem. Immediately upon arrival all I could see was the illuminated stained windows and stonework. Upon entering the ceilings' beams were the first thing I noticed, this is truly a wonderful little gem in the heart of Manitou. It was wonderful not only to hear the wonderful music and songs floating thru the nave, but it was also a feast for the eyes. The candle light song at the end was especially suggestive as it gave me a good sense of what this church must have truly looked and felt when it was first built in the late 1800's."
"Our first visit 9/30/18. Friendly but not weird greeters. Professional but not showy praise and worship portion. Relevant and authentic message spoken by Pastor Mark. The people were friendly but not intrusive. For us, that was appreciated. We like the sharing of the varying ministries, & outreaches (both domestic and international). Lots of families. Lots of men. Overall, to us, the church had a very wholesome culture, and sound doctrine."
"We love the vision of the leaders, facilities and childcare are excellent, modern worship service, super welcoming and easy to get connected. The transparency of the lead pastor is very inviting and love the idea of leaving a trace of God's love everywhere we go by sharing truth and grace."
"I have been attending this church for approximately three months now. I went to First Step last week and am now going through the leadership program. I came from FLATIRONS COMMUNITY CHURCH where I felt at home. This church isn't as big as FLATIRONS and I like that. Although when it comes to churches, we want them to be growing. If we're not expanding, we're contracting. This church is filled with wonderfully smart and caring people that are as good as it gets. Give this church a chance if for no other reason than the community outreach program that provides food and beds for every child in our community that are not fortunate enough to have those basics. If you decide to go elsewhere great! Just go somewhere."
"This is an awesome little church. I would go here on sundays for service when I lived in Florissant back in 2003. I had worked at a boys camp and would drive the children who wanted to attend service here. They also enjoyed the service as well and afterwards we could pick up McDonalds for breakfast, one of the strong reasons some of the kids wanted to go.The preist and staff were so nice and I really enjoyed the great service they offered. I hope they have grown since then. What made this church so great was that they always had their windows facing Pike's peek open so you can enjoy the majestic view of the mountain.I will never forget attending service here because it was just so great. The drive to the church and the drive back through the mountains made for a very nice sunday morning service. If you happen to live there or are stopping by and will be there on sunday, stop by for the morning service. Its very relaxing and enjoyable. I miss this town and colorado and hope to be back in the future. I hope this place will still be there when I come back. Thanks for the great memories of this place, especially that view!"
"Love this church. Some of the most amazing, genuine and loving people you will ever meet. They have great programs for kids and teenagers which was really important to our family. These people really care."

Pastor Michael has a true heart for the Lord and has an awesome and dynamic way of bringing God's word alive in and through your life. His "thoughts" are his own and he shares them with you so that you incorporate them into your life to grow onward in your walk with the Lord. He is also sensitive to the leading and moving of the Holy Spirit in the congregation and you can see and feel it in how he delivers his message. He puts his whole being into delivering a message so that His message stays with you long after you've left! This church "REALLY" has a heart to pray for you and they dig in when they pray too!!! No superficial wishy washy prayer but they pray like they really mean it too!! The love in this church flows freely throughout the congregation; you can really feel it too!!

A great church, with lots of history, and lots of programs to offer anyone of any age and spiritual level. A fixture in Colorado Springs?

This is definitely one of the oldest and outdates churches I have ever been to. There's really nothing special to it besides that it's the oldest congregational church in Colorado. Other than that, the structure and decor is too outdated for my taste. But it holds a different value to those who live and grew up in this area. It's sentimental.

This is such an amazing place to worship. I've been going to this church for two years. I've read the negative reviews and couldn't disagree more. I'm wondering if they reviewed the wrong church???Anyway, I've had a long road with churches which has unfortunately left me somewhat cynical. It takes awhile for a church now to 'prove' they are legit. This church gives SO MUCH money to help other nations as well as our own. It's truly wonderful.

"You will love what God does in your life and the lives of your family. There is something for the entire family! This is a church that depends on the power of prayer, the work of the Holy Spirit and that contends for the miraculous in people's lives. So many lives changed by the power of Jesus and His work at the cross!"
"This is such a wonderful church where we have felt at home for over a year. If you are looking for a church that preaches solely by the Word of God, this is it. Pastor Paul speaks so passionately by the Word, you can't help but feel moved each Sunday. Saturday evening service is also available, which we love as an option! Come and be welcomed here! Everyone is so genuine, you will feel right at home."
"Had quite a lovely time here last Sunday. The church patrons were friendly and welcoming. They have a coffee shop inside. They offer many Bible study programs and opportunities for the youth. What really stood out to me about this church is the sense of community and togetherness here. The pastor himself reached out to me a few days after attending to introduce himself. I have been to many churches in my life but never one where the Pastor actually cared to meet me or even speak directly to me. Was really refreshing and kind."
"Beautiful church and wonderful Christian family. Offers Sunday services, Sunday school, and weekly small group activities"
"Being a military family we move often which means having to now find a new spot for things like hair cuts, doctors and most importantly a church to call home. Normally this is a process for me and have to try anywhere between 3-5 churches before I feel at home. When I first came to Cross Creek almost 2 years ago I knew from day one, this was it. Everyone was so welcoming from day one and the pastors preach in such a way that we can relate to the word in everyday life yet it is the word of God. This is certainly a place to belong and the youth groups are amazing! Love this church!"
"I love the music, very uplifting and up tempo. The pastor is very kind and always brings a great message. I find the people are friendly. I have only been attending a few weeks now but I really enjoy my time there. I encourage people who have a bit of a heavy heart to go and allow God to encourage you amongst these wonderful folks."
"Best church in Colorado Springs In my opinion I did my RCIA here the teacher was amazing the priest was very hands on and helpful through every step I found my community here"
"A great church full of people who love God, love others, and are all about the good news of God's love for us! Been attending for almost 5 years."
"This church is so incredible. They love Jesus and want to show that to the world. Pastor Jim preaches the word verses by verse and book by book. He has helped guide me to Jesus through many of life's tough situations and for that I am forever grateful. If you are in Colorado Springs and want the best preaching in town and to be surrounded by great people who love Jesus then this is your church. I miss it!"
"Awesome place, great word, great worship, friendly and culturally diverse..."
"This is such a welcoming church, and they do a great job of practicing COVID health guidelines."
"This parish has fostered a hostile, and downright vicious environment for families with small children. It might not have been their intention, but it happened. Just had an experience at St. Dominic's that has literally shaken my faith in the church, and made me question why I became Catholic. When I chose as an adult to join the church, one of the main reasons why were the pro-family teachings.I was so happy to take my baby back to mass, the first chance since COVID-19 broke out. My family came an hour early, we sat in the family section of the pews. My baby started to babble, not scream. It was obviously loud since the entire church was quiet, but he was NOT screaming. My husband took our son out of the sanctuary about three times, hoping our son would tire himself out, and to remain respectful of other parish members. We decided to both go by the doors, outside of the sanctuary and let our kid walk back and forth (away from anyone else). *As we left, an older man behind us said out loud for everyone to hear, "And stay out!". This was all before the service even began. The crying room was closed, there were no accommodations for children. This is understandable due to the current situation, but it should also be understood that people will bring their children regardless. As we walked around with the baby outside of the sanctuary, the Knights of Columbus were gracious...We were told that we had to sit down or leave though, so rather than going back in the sanctuary to be treated poorly again, we chose to leave. We had no other option. By this time, the Mea Culpa had just occurred. Let the little children come to me. Unless you are Catholic, and going to St. Dominic's. Children aren't "tolerated" by the parish members there. To the man who was so cruel to myself, and my child...I hope you know that your behavior does not bring you closer to God, and acting like that at mass makes your presence ia conundrum in itself. To the Priest~ Please stop sending me the same message over and over (the one you posted word for word on Yelp). It shows little concern for what happened, and is insult to injury considering the harsh things you said to my family members. Mistakes were made. Please stop messaging me, and accept that your initial responses on FB were less than gracious (and documented)."
"Come here if you want TRUTH! Pastor Moore is amazing and very good at delivering a solid (not watered down!!!) sermon on Sunday morning. I appreciate his authenticity and passion for The Word - he speaks truth, citing lots of scriptures and historical facts with minimal "opinion" of translation. The church body is welcoming and helpful. They have plenty of resources and ministries for members/visitors/moms/children/seniors etc."
"It is a Traditional Community who celebrates the Holy Mass in Latin and faithfully follows the teachings of the Catholic Church, obeys the Tradition and Magisterium of the Catholic Church."
"This church is wonderful and the people and leadership is there to help and lead you closer to God. The last negative review is absolutely false and someone's crude interpretation of something they have no idea of. Who visits church's and then leaves hateful reviews about them? These are God loving people, not perfect but we all do our best to help the community and the places we are partnered with. Pastor Stewart is a wonderful speaker and really relates to his audience getting the biblical message across. Highly recommend fellowship of the Rockies."
"Large UMC in Colorado Springs steeped in history. Always a good service. Sunday school programs for all ages."
"This is the only church we ever tried in Colorado Springs. We did some research online and watched some of the sermons online before attending. We felt welcome from the second we walked through the door. We are preparing to leave Colorado Springs since my husband will be retiring from the AF and we are extremely sad to have to leave this church. We lived it so much I ended up working here for almost two years. The way they accept everyone and give back to the community is unrivaled. Pastor Dean Hawk is entertaining and educational and we've learned so much about ourselves, as Christians, since attending RFC. This church truly ended up being our family here in Colorado Springs. We are going to miss all the people terribly but we will continue to tell everyone how amazing RFC is. Do yourself a favor and check it out!! Oh, and their children's and teen programs are amazing!!!"
"What a wonderful church to be apart of. When we started everyone was down to earth and very friendly. Our pastors speak from the word of God. There are classes for every age on Sunday. We drive from Woodland Park and feel blessed to apart of this church family. We hope to see you soon"
"Attended only once, but immediately felt worship and sacredness with excitement. This is missing in the many churches we attended in search of a place to worship and grow. The sermon was given with joy and passion but not just read from a manuscript with no feeling. I will continue to attend."
"My wife and I visited this church and were welcomed by the love of Christ. The message of humanity's fallen condition, the corruption of our nature and the love and forgiveness of God in Christ shine forth from the pulpit and community of this church. They are a forgiving and loving community as we have witnessed ourselves. We all need to forgive as we have been forgiven, we have joined this fellowship because they walk in love and truth."
"I'm happy to call Newsong my new home church. Real people that love God, doing real life together and loving one another. I would love to brag on my pastor some more but you'll have to just come and check it out for yourself. All are welcome."
"We love this church. Our first visit we were given a gift and met some of the staff. After a couple of months, we started serving and suddenly, this large church became small as we built friendships and community with so many good people!I've heard people say that they don't want to attend here because it's too big, but I say, give it one try! The music is OUT OF THIS WORLD incredible. Songs that are written by the music team at New Life are sung all over the world. The children's ministry is PHENOMENAL! Great teachers who teach amazing lessons to our children. Their is a leadership group for children, a music team for kids, and 'buddies' for children with special needs.I'm glad we found this place!"
"There's not one thing I can think to say that is not positive about Woodman Valley Chapel! The people are so kind and caring and everyone wants to help and provide you with the best experience for yourself and your family. Services are at great times and although the parking situation can be a little high traffic, that's because there is something special about this community. Pastor Josh is amazing and his messages are thoughtful and always delivered with a little bit of humor. Great music and a wonderful way to end and start your week!"
