Tandoori Deli

Mark T. "Fans of the now-closed Samarkand Restaurant will be thrilled to hear that the owner has now taken over the former New York Deli (Star) space at Parker/Atchison and converted it into a haven of Uzbek, Tajik, Russian, etc. delectables - Tandoori Deli.As you may have guessed, the deli counter is still the main draw near the shop's entrance - and, if you're anything like me, you'll have a difficult time choosing between all the options on offer. One of my favorite ready-to-eat items to consider here is the Uzbek specialty Khanum - large pasta sheets skillfully wrapped around a juicy meat filling. Speaking of proteins, I have to also give praise to Tandoori Deli's selection of Shashlik (grilled kebabs), available with beef, chicken or lamb, and served with a side of either fluffy fried potatoes or mixed roasted veggies to give you the most bang for your buck (or do I mean "Som"?). Anyway, those who've missed the Tajik skewers from David's Kebab House on Leetsdale can find a very worthy replacement here. Another regional specialty, the potato-and-cheese-stuffed Kartofdzhyn (Ossetian pie) is also easily available - and quite substantial too if I may say so [URP]. My point here is that TD provides a picturesque culinary tour of much of the former Soviet Union. You know, after all that savory food, I think I need something sweet to really finish things off. Well, what do I see before me, but one of my favorite desserts - in one of my favorite versions - the honey cake called Medovik. Candidly, I can imagine myself eating several slices in succession before I even know what just happened. Keeping this in mind, perhaps it's safer for me to stick with a couple of Syrniki (farmer's cheese pancakes) or even a single éclair, so I don't get too carried away. I'm certain my sweet tooth will be satiated either way. I of course need to wash all this down with a beverage or two - hmm, will I pick some creamy Kefir today? Or maybe a can of the classic rye-based libation, Kvass, or indeed some Mors (Russian berry punch)? There are just so many choices to consider. And I haven't even gotten into TD's shelves and coolers full of of meats, cheeses, candies, pickles, and so forth. Yes, this little shop in Aurora is full of surprises - so go forth and be suitably dazzled, won't you?"

Steven S H C. "Searching for that perfect snack before dinner and what a better place than the food court. Specifically Park Meadows. Started with the Shake Shack and down to road to Sabaroro, Chick-fil-A, Chinese and skipped Renzios (bad experience) and when I saw the menu at the Popeyes, thos was it. Love at 1st site and actually never had chance to try it till today. How was it?.It was lot better than I expected. How was it compare to Chick-fil-A? It was spicier, meatier and buns were lot better. Chicken pattie were crispy till the last bite and the spicy flavor was definitely stronger than the competition. $4.99 for sandwich at here, $5.19 at Chick-fil-A. Do not know the quality of chickens but definitely a good alternative to one another to try different flavors. Oh.. this one didn't come with "my pleasure" Do you notice the hidden chicken below the sign?"

We double checked Yelp app for the reviews of Joey's and we saw that it has great reviews. We ordered a pepperoni and cheese pizza, house salad, drinks and took advantage of the 1/2 dozen free garlic knots coupon. The service was excellent! The pizza was delicious and yes tastes just like New York Pizza. I would definitely come back here."

Melanie T. "The chicken is still probably my favorite of the Korean fried chicken chains we have in Colorado. I really like the flavors of everything. My favorite is the cheeseling but it isn't everyone cup of tea. The honey garlic would be a safe alternative if you like a sweet chicken but want something without the cheese dust. The spicy original wings are also pretty good. It' has a nice kick of spice. The chicken just has a really nice crunch and it doesn't feel dry. The sides like fries and o ion rings are delicious. Can't go wrong with any of them. The tteokboki is really good. I've had it in the regular and rose. The kimchi fried rice is just okay and I personally would skip it. We came on a Friday afternoon and it was slow but business did pick up. There was one server in charge of all the tables so service can be kind of slow. One table did walk out after waiting for a couple of minutes so be ready for that. If you're in a rush, best to place a to-go order."

Erica G. "Cluck Chicken is the best chicken tenders/wings place in Denver. I don't know exactly how they bread and fry their chicken however it is so juicy and perfectly fried. I don't get here alot since it's not near my home, but l look forward to when we're around that area to visit. A few times we've gotten the family chicken meal and I love how you can pick different sauces for them to smother the tenders in, so you can satisfy your entire group. And it comes along with fries and toast. The only thing I do not like about Cluck is that they only sell bottled water (no water station nor will they give you a glass of tap water), so that is annoying to me. But they don't seem to mind if you bring in your own water bottle, so that is what I do."

Her flavored mules are especially fantastic, not overly sweet and very refreshing. The buffalo chicken salad is great. It's a good mix of chicken, veggies and spring greens. It's not a giant pile of iceburg with a chicken breast on top, like some other places. The onion rings are hot and crispy, breaded not battered. They have tons of parking and a nice patio with a big bar order window. Their dining room seating is primarily booths for 4 people. FYI: If you come in before a show at Fiddlers, they have more limited drink menu, to expedite getting beverages to everyone. And, you'll get your beverage in plastic, not a copper mug."

The seafood is fresh and the sauce that comes with, we chose Dave's sauce, was garlicky buttery Cajun spiced goodness. Seasoning on the fries was great and the ranch was homemade. The employees are so friendly and accommodating. We will absolutely be back to try a crab boil."

My partner and I came here after paddleboarding on Sloan's Lake, hungry for some bar food.He had the Wasabi Salad with Salmon. Everything was delicious. Customer service was excellent. The place was pretty empty (so parking was easy and we sat at the bar) probably because of some sports game going on. Whenever I crave a burger and beer next, I'm coming here!"

There is a very small seating area but call ahead because they might only still be doing take out orders. During Covid I called to make a take out order and they made it easy. Everything was ready in 20 minutes. Try the California Dry Rub. The wings were perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside and the chicken was juicy and delicious. The real surprise were the sides -- I tried the garlic fries (amazing) and Mac and cheese which was heavenly. They give you a whole tub of Mac and cheese! The banana pudding was also perfect and hard to resist. 5 stars for flavor, these guys have nailed it. It is a lot of food and you'll be fully satisfied. Thank you Wild Bills!"

The place has kind of "hole in the wall" vibe, so don't plan anything romantic there, but if you are going for a good bowl of soup - this is the place. Service was super nice, 5*+. He chose this wing place and even though I was reluctant...we gave it a shot. We each ordered 6 wings with veggies, fries and a drink. I was also expecting to get ripped off with a small portion but we got big meaty and crispy wings that were perfectly coated with the buffalo mild sauce. I couldn't even finish half of my meal, which was quite hard to stop because all of it was amazing. The bleu cheese was perfect for my hubby, I would have liked it to be a bit chunkier but that's just my preference so I can't really knock a star for it. Crazy as it sounds but this may be my favorite wing place in the Springs area. I look forward to trying it out again to make sure it earns that title."

We've tried all of the varieties of fried chicken and love the white onion fried chicken the most. It is topped with thin onion slices and the best part is the white onion dipping sauce (I wish this sauce would come with all the orders). Another favorite is the Chicken Mayo Bowl - I could eat this dish for lunch every day! The chicken is so flavorful and drizzled in mayo on a bed of rice makes it even better! Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Ddukbokki in general. But I do think the Labokki that includes ramen noodles is good! The service has always been quick and friendly! The Fried rice is pretty, but not a fan of the sweet gravy. The porklets are good, but can be a bit soggy from all the sauce. The fries are crunchy and come out piping hot, but personally not a fan of any of the ones with cheese because it adds more saltiness than cheesiness. Good small place with small amount of seating.
