"Cherry Cricket, the famed black sheep of Cherry Creek, somehow still impresses after all these years. Hailed as one of Denver's best burger places, I'm shocked if anyone says they don't have an enjoyable burger here.When you see the legendary Duffy's sign you know you're in the right place. Entering the restaurant I've mostly received weird interactions upon entry. They do, in fact, seat you, but often times I've had bad luck and find myself waiting for an employee to seat us.There are plenty of dining rooms indoors like booths, community tables, and bar seating. But the Cricket is known for their massive outdoor patio. Part of it is covered underneath a gigantic tent set up, the other picnic table style seating overlooking the foot traffic of Cherry Creek.What to order at the Cricket? They do have some signature burgers they're known for that have won awards at burger festivals. The green chile relleno burger stands out because I don't know how they invented this concoction, but it's a beast of a burger that has DENVER written all over it.More often than not, the Cricket Burger is the pro move. A customizable half pound burger with the toppings of your choice. The one I had the other night was with American Cheese, Bacon, and Jalapeños. It was cooked perfectly, an undeniable beefy flavor. It was a damn memorable burger.Oh. And the frings (with ranch) are a MUST.The knock of the star just boils down to the restaurant being too big, which means occasionally you feel like the forgotten stepchild depending on if your section is busy or not. On multiple occasions the service has been incredibly slow. Other than that, I'll continue to support this Denver institution.Here's to another 50 years, Cricks!"

"My boyfriend was craving a burger and we were in the area so we decided to give this spot a go. I got the mini park burger and substituted raw onions for shoestring (pro hack they don't charge extra this way). The truffle parm fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. My milkshake was delicious they make the strawberry sauce in house and the whipped cream was so fluffy. I'm not a big burger fan by any means (I actually tend to avoid burgers) but THIS burger has me questioning everything. Delicious bun, juicy patty and perfectly crisp onions. The inside of this place is super cute and come spring the patio area looks lovely. Bravo."

"This place was awesome! We had the steak stroganoff, the Rainbow trout and split the green salad with the homemade Italian dressing. The trout was cooked perfectly! Th steak stroganoff was the best we'd ever had, the steak was cooked so perfectly and you could cut it with a fork. Each entree came with fresh pretzel bread too. The staff was incredibly friendly and the service was fantastic. We decided to pick up a monkey bread and a blueberry loaf for breakfast the next day. The baked goods are phenomenal. It's pretty cool to find this place attached to an outdoor sports retail place. What a cool use of the space."

"Wow this is my new go to place. They have coffee bar, they have homemade biscuits, homemade cinnamon rolls, thick cut bacon - what else could you ask for? The eggs Bennie was wonderful - the Hollandaise is perfect amount of creamy and slight tang. The potatoes they call Browns are great not too crispy not too hard. The pancake was really good. The waitstaff is young I think more teens or just out of high school but they were nice. Will definitely return."

Once you enter, there are multiple levels of seating available with an array of televisions playing sports games to give a cozy bar vibe. "They are a staple of Denver and one of the best meals for the price. If you want to truly spoil yourself, get the pastrami burger. You won't want to eat for three days because you'll be so satisfied and full, but it's absolutely worth it.For breakfast, they have incredible sandwiches and huge breakfast burritos stuffed with green chili and hashbrowns. I can only get through half but they're so good. The ambiance is a classic breakfast joint from the 70s. And the owners are so pleasant and accommodating. Give them your support!"

We also both liked our food. - So why only 3 stars you may ask?No, it wasn't the mandatory 20% gratuity that is added to a check (several reviews mentioned this before). Since it was clearly stated on the menu, plus our server mentioned it to us as well before picking up our check, doing so was quite acceptable. I took one star, because we felt that albeit the food was good, it was grossly overpriced.I had to take a second star away, since they are violating a Colorado law that prohibits pet dogs from being in an inside dining establishment. After ten years and three locations this local business with CO-born Chef Clint and his business partner Chris is killing it! Their menu is small and is uncomplicated. You won't be embarrassed to take a date here. They plate their dishes beautifully. Their food is amazing. They serve wine, beers and natural sodas.Everything was really good. What stood out for me was the Grilled Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf and their Chicken Pastrami sandwich. The Pastrami had that perfect heat to it all throughout as you eat it. Nothing serious but it's there. But whatever you order from what we tried , or from their menu is really good. You have to try try everything that we tried: 48 hour Slow Cooked Short Rib, Grilled Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf, Mediterranean grilled chicken, Chicken pastrami Sandwich, and their Beef Stroganoff (special of the day) , salads Super Chop. Rocket Chop and South Chop. Everything we had was so delicious and was served and plated beautifully & priced right. Oh, and you won't be embarrassed to take your date here. Aside from the excellent food, the inside is tastefully decorated. With a covered patio for winter and one that's alfresco for summer! Drinks: Frozen passion fruit & lemon berry"

"There is no way that this is not a 5 star food joint in the triple D category. I got a burger and wings from here and they just knocked it out of the park. The burger was easily a half pound and was certainly one of the best burgers I've ever had from food joint. The wings were good. Great BBQ on them. I was slightly concerned they were a little undercooked, but it turned out just fine! The place is just not what you would expect. There's 0 seating. The building is barely larger than a food truck and it seems like it's a meh area of town. The cashier, whom I'm assuming might own or co-own was very delightful. We ended up waiting about an hour for all of us to get our food due to our group size, but he sent a bunch of extra wings. Overall I could have eaten a burger from here every day and been happier than a clam while we stayed there. Highly recommend it."
