I know what you're thinking, "salmon, at a breakfast joint?". Well, let me tell you this sandwich was well cooked, layered perfectly and refreshing! But even though we had to wait quite a bit to get our table, there were empty tables so they probably didn't have enough staff to man the place for such a busy day. But our food! Hands down one of the best pancakes I've had. Probably cooked on a cast iron pan, cuz it was so crispy on the outside and yet fluffy and soft on the inside. "The fact that this cafe offers a vegetarian pepper white gravy completely sold me as biscuits and gravy are one of my favorite indulgent food and it's so hard to find a spot that doesn't serve sausage gravy. I was so happy with my breakfast here and could have licked the plate if that wasn't generally frowned upon in public. The biscuits and gravy come with hashbrowns and I opted to add two scrambled eggs with cheese to make it a complete meal. I had to try the apple pie cider, which is a spiced apple cider with cinnamon syrup and caramel syrup topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. It was so good and the perfect cozy drink for a winter day."

"I'm not sure why they have such low ratings. When you walked inside, it was covered with cows. Even the bathroom had cow paintings and artwork inside. Thats why they call it the cow and eatery. You can either eat inside or the outside patio or the back closed off patio. The service is great, and they are quick and check on you frequently. When I asked for hot sauce, they brought over three from their own brand. I was impressed by all three. It felt like I was in the show hot ones on youtube, haha!!I found out that this place used to be just an ice cream shop with just outside seating, but renovated it for food and dessert with seating inside. I think that was a great idea. Food wise, I ordered for myself the seafood mac and cheese. I'm on a diet not eating fried food, so it was limited, and of course, I got myself dessert too. Their banana split was so good. I enjoyed it thoroughly even though I'm not a fan of chocolate. But their two flavors and all of the toppings together combined matched well. I would suggest getting their dessert as it's all handmade."

The eggs Bennie was wonderful - the Hollandaise is perfect amount of creamy and slight tang. The potatoes they call Browns are great not too crispy not too hard. The pancake was really good. The waitstaff is young I think more teens or just out of high school but they were nice. Will definitely return."

I came with a group of friends on the recommendation of one friend's father and we were not disappointed.The restaurant is lovely and one particular thing I liked about it was that it was lively but not deafening. For some reason, every high end steakhouse in NYC is so loud and filled with finance & tech bros trying to out-testosterone each other than you can't hear the person next to you. Elway's, by contrast, although filled with the Colorado equivalent of tech/finance bros-- but wearing cowboy hats-- had a good energy level but I could hear people across the table from me. Service was top-notch from start to finish. Scott was our waiter and he was exceptional...one member of our party has particular likes and dislikes and he handled everything with grace and aplomb. Matching the service was the food and drink. My rye old fashioned was spectacular. For food, I started by splitting a Caesar salad and that was wonderful. Then my 12 oz NY Strip came out and it was perfectly prepared and delicious. The sides were great too, especially the mashed potatoes, asparagus and spinach. I wasn't thrilled about the brussels sprouts as I prefer mine a little crisper but that's not the way they were prepared so I can't fault them. For dessert, my husband and I split a key lime pie that had a special anniversary message on it. It was a nice surprise and the tartness of the pie was a great coda to the meal. This was an exceptional meal from start to finish. I'd definitely go back...especially if someone else was paying because it is not cheap. But if you want a memorable place for a special occasion, you can't go wrong with Elway's."

Each entree comes with a bakery item which satisfied my savory + sweet craving. I got the chilaquiles and the flavors were awesome my only critique is the chips were soggy. I soon found out it had 4 shots of espresso - yikes! We enjoyed the flavors and came back to Loyal Coffee for a second visit before we left Colorado Springs. This time I asked for just 1 shot of espresso and it was delicious.Recently, I was back in the Springs for another business trip and made Loyal Coffee my first stop. It was great to be back and, of course, ordered my favorite Iced Honey Cinnamon Latte (with just 1 shot of espresso) and one of their iced teas. Delicious!This is my favorite coffee shop out here. The staff are always so positive and friendly, the shop has plenty of seating, they offer baked goods and merch, and serve delicious hot and cold drinks."

Unfortunately we did not like that one. The food was a 9/10. I got a vegetarian sandwich and it was satisfying. Not amazing but it did have a nice taste. The peanut butter toast was also good but eventually got too sweet to finish.The inside was pretty but slightly confused with the vibes. It gives farm style but then there's chandelier everywhere. I don't hate it but to ME it's two different vibes. There are a lot of seating but once it starts reaching 8 or 9 am it gets packed!!The people working there were very kind and friendly. We appreciate that the Latinx lady in the counter was patient with us. She understood that it was our first time there and gave us grace when looking at the menu and even gave us recommendations. I would come here again but will be more cautious on the coffee selection."

It was still happy hour but they didn't offer us happy hour, though they did to the next table. We were too tired to argue. Ordered some spicy burger with cream cheese and it was amazing. Really hit the spot. Their cocktails are tasty. The cherry drink that came in a tall glass was too easy to drink at $15 each. The dining room is intimate, with nooks and crannies for small parties. I asked the server if the garlic fries come out crispy. He said they did but I asked for him to request a new dish. They were bad. They should have never left the kitchen. The pic included has the fresh fries that were perfect. Good spot for a decent meal in downtown. Just don't expect much."

"Denver has a bunch of delis, would be delis, pretend delis, sandwich shops that think they're delis, sort of Jewish delis, and the New York Deli News which is the closest thing we've got to a classic, New York City-style Jewish deli. It has been my favorite since they opened in 1989 and it is my favorite now.They hit all of my hot buttons: matzo ball soup, deli salads, chopped liver, a huge list of fantastic, overstuffed sandwiches (corned beef, pastrami, corned beef & pastrami!), blintzes, all day breakfast, and weekend brunch.The space was getting a little tired on my last visit several months ago, but I was surprised this visit with a fancy new sign, a new color scheme, new menus, a tidied up interior, and new systems, including very nice hand-held terminals for the servers. Everything ran very efficiently.I had my frequent order of blintzes on this visit. They were tasty, hot, and fresh. My friend had a very generously-sized cheese omelet which he enjoyed. I love the matzo ball (chicken) soup here. The matzo balls are always tender and the soup richly flavored. The sandwiches are great. You can't go wrong with any of them. This place hits the spot whether you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner.The New York Deli News is one of Denver's treasures. This is the place for the authentic New York deli experience.
