It has been sad to see a number of women's boutiques close in the last couple years (Idoru and Ellie K downtown, Gloss in Monument), but I'm glad that Colorado Co-op is still around! I've wandered in on several occasions but have never bought anything until today.CC carries casual and dressy garments and denim by designers you won't usually find at regular department stores. This ensures both quality and uniqueness, especially when they're selling USA-made labels like Michael Stars, James Perse, Three Dots, Citizens of Humanity, Only Hearts, etc. They also sell higher end garments by Black Halo, Elizabeth & James, Rag & Bone, Robert Rodriguez, Theory, etc, which, if you don't know those designers, you can expect to pay a lot more while getting back a lot of quality. I loved the textures and fabrics of the Majestic label (made in Paris) and Lilla P (made in Peru). There is a limited selection of handbags/shoulder bags scattered throughout the store, along with high end bath/body products, like Kiehl's. Overall, the women's items Colorado Co-op carries are reminscent of the lines that Denver's The Garment District sells.The store itself is laid out well with dark wood floors, clean walls and exposed brick leading up to their high ceilings, and heavy wood tables and checkout counter. The space doesn't have the charming yet urban crampiness that Idoru used to have, but it doesn't have the bright minimalist lines that Ellie K had either. I'd say the layout of CC is more sleek and sophisticated than either of those, reflecting the aesthetic of the clothes they sell. It has never seemed very bright in there, but I think this gives it a more intimate vibe.Today, they had plenty on sale. After much time spent in one of the three dimly lit changing rooms (which aren't spacious yet not tight), I walked out of there with a dress for 50% off. The girl helping me was very sweet and patient. She wasn't intrusive with me, but I did observe her being very attentive to a customer who actually asked for assistance. They do take credit cards, but I think all purchases on sale items are final since the girl snipped off my pricetag there at the counter before I walked out.Bottom line, if you're female looking for a local boutique to add some quality pieces to your wardrobe, check out Colorado Co-op!

"My first impression was, "Can't wait to check out the clothes."Their collection shrunk which makes me sad. My sister and I went back looking for some of the things we discovered on our last visit and unfortunately, a lot of their merchandise wasn't there anymore. Of course, I still was not disappointed at their jewelry collection and also not surprised at the still very high prices, but I give it one less star because it just didn't have the same "feel" anymore.It's been over a year since I've been back, but to my surprise they STILL had some of the things I remember seeing back then, and no new merchandise to replace those sold.The lasting impression, "I'll be stopping by, but not the enthusiast I once used to be about this place.""
