Buffalo Ridge Trading Post

This is hands-down the best souvenir shop in Old Colorado. We have been in twice and will visit every time we are in the area. The owner is so friendly and is also originally from the same area as we are, so that was a bonus. The store is not crammed full of stuff like some of the others on the strip but instead offers a pleasant shopping experience. I have purchased several things from there, and all were of good quality. Infact, I have gotten many compliments on the hat I bought there a couple of years ago. Why go anywhere else?

Best souvenir shop on the strip!!!! All the items are high quality. The owner and his wife are very knowledgeable and sweet. They have an amazing local hot sauce and salsa selection.

In honor of Territory Days coming back to Old Colorado City to officially kick off summer in the Springs, I wanted to introduce you to this lovely small biz that will be right smack dab in the middle of all the festivities. A blend of fun shopping, rich history and of course all the hot sauce you could ever want to taste, it's a one of a kind shop that you won't find anywhere else. The kid and I wandered in here several weeks ago looking for elk antlers (which are natural, wonderful dog chews btw) and were completely charmed both by the shop and the service we received. Buffalo Ridge boasts souvenirs and trinkets that range in price (YES I Google spell checked that word...), clothing and homemade merchandise, and owner Cindy and her family have an unlimited hot sauce bar that lets you try every hot sauce known to man as long as you can take the heat (or, you know, get out of her kitchen).We had a lot of fun, found we have a new favorite hot sauce, picked up a few "Colorado" shirts for out of town family and the 7 year old even scored his first pocket knife because they actually had his name engraved on it. Very cute...and when you're in there this weekend ask Cindy (if she's there) about the secret sordid Old Colorado City history hiding under the floorboards. What a great place and great prices!!!They had the cutest stuff and carried extra large sizes. Loved the "lounge" wear as well. I was on my first visit ever to Colorado Springs and visited old town Colorad City when my wife and I stumbled into the Buffalo Ridge Trading Post looking for an ice cold beverage. What we did not realize is that we also walked into a hotbed of pepper tasting. Hidden behind the Colorado clothing and mountain-related items a Chile pepper tasting counter and a wide range of tasting options waits to be discovered. This is the first I had ever seen of this kind of offering and their execution is tasteful and effective (kudos to Doug for leveraging his daughter's skills on the decorations). I spent some time discussing the store with the owner, Doug Manyik, and he was super friendly and full of tasting information. I did not get a chance to actually "taste the heat" because we were under a time crunch, but if you are in the Colorado Springs area and are looking for something unique to try, give hot Chile pepper tasting a try at Buffalo Ridge Trading Post.

Amazing store with exceptional prices! I went to Colorado for vacation this past January and had the hardest time looking for a hat. I went to a few different stores and was disappointed until I came across one at Buffalo Ridge Trading Post. I was so happy to have found it and it was half the price of the other stores in the area, which was a huge bonus. The sales associate was more than helpful and made the transaction very enjoyable. Great staff, amazing selection of hot sauces. I never really liked spicy food until I was introduced to their extensive selection. Now I can't get enough.

Out of all the shops in Old Colorado City souvenir shops, this was the only business within a good price range and have good quality Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak shirts! Also the staff at Buffalo Ridge Trading Post were sweet as can be! I highly recommend this shop to travelers!
