Popped in here (twice) during a weekend trip to salida. Cool little shop, was disappointed to see that they didn't have a lot of business, hopefully they get a good early morning crowd. I loved the Mexican mocha, which is why i stopped in the next day.

Great place to stop in for a good cup of jo'. Well stocked on different bagged coffees, mugs and cups. They have some tasty bakery items including gluten free. Plenty of places to sit and pull out the laptop and connect to wifi and do some work. Bathrooms are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Stopped here to check out the coffee and was drawn in by the pumpkin bread also. Nice quaint location with a delicious array of coffees.I recommend a stop here if your in town. The staff was also helpful and kind.

This was the cutest coffee shop and staff was kind and welcoming - and very helpful! We got a burrito, turkey and cheese croissant, and I got an English toffee coffee and all were delightful. It was neat atmosphere, but got a little crammed when busy. Would definitely come back!

Moving is tough. Maybe you're moving from California or Texas. Or maybe you're just a big fat dork from Golden and decide that Salida is the town for you. But I think we can agree that everyone needs refreshments. And that's why Brown Dog is a great option. And they have lots of coffee varieties and a multitude of baked goods to help you carb load when you're shooting down the mountain or just planning on ruining an otherwise good town on your own. "Let's make it like Breckenridge" is the new town motto, I'm told. So stop in, enjoy the town, and make sure to change the culture. And then move back to Golden.

We went twice on our vacation because it was so good. Excellent Service - there was a line both days but if you are patient it's worth the wait! I highly recommend the smothered breakfast burrito - very delicious and the green chili as a little kick but not too spicy.

My daughter and I stopped in here before a long day of sightseeing and activities in/around Salida last week.The barista was really nice and you can tell she knew who the regulars were. She was really chatty with them, which was fun to see.I ordered an iced chai tea latte and a breakfast burrito and my daughter ordered a piece of pumpkin bread. Everything was really good.A great coffee shop that I would go back to again.

Large menu, good location, rude service.I ran in for a quick iced latte, with extra ice. I get the feeling that if your not a regular and ask for anything extra or different from the menu your going to get some extreme passive aggressive attitudes. And if you ask for anything after you get your order like extra ice it's going to be a thing with them. I tipped but afterward I wished I hadn't because the coffee was mediocre and the two women were beyond rude.

Very rude barista. No wonder this business is up for sale. AND no wonder Starbucks puts places like this out of business. Other coffee places in town are MUCH nicer.
