a market under the stars

Cute little market! Lots of the same vendors you see on Sunday at South Pearl Street. You can do a free wine tasting from Avanti, sample some local honey, snag dinner from PBJ, Vegan Van or Quiero Arepas food trucks, and last Wednesday you could even have adopted a pet. It's not very crowded; the tortilla guy who makes Colombian Tamales, tacos, quesadillas, etc., at other farmers markets and always has a line, had no line here. And he now takes credit cards! (About half of the vendors are cash or check only). I got there around 5:45 and got an easy parking spot in the lot next to the market. It's actually on Lincoln Street, not Broadway. They were starting to string the lights on the top of the booths when I was leaving. I bet it's really pretty there at night. They even had a guy with his guitar singing and strumming away. There are good deals to be had! I got a pound of rhubarb for only $2. High Country Kombucha was selling cases of 12 bottles for $30. I was allowed to mix and match flavors and even offered a discount of $25 instead of 30. Check them out next Wednesday night and support local!
