Good tasting service from Blake for a large tasting party until after multiple purchases by our party including myself Blake made an arbitrary and capricious decision to allow a member of my party to have a 10% local discount but not myself. We both own property in Breckenridge and have similar local IDDisappointing and stupidWon't be back

They are located in an a mixed residential andIndustrial park north of Breckenridge Their private parking lot can hold about 40 cars. One of the Breckenridge Free ride buses comes by every 20 minutes. You walk down a gravel path to the entrance. They have all of their spirits ranging from $35 to $375 on one wall + glassware and swag. The opposite wall is where you get free tastings of almost all spirits, except the double cask whiskey for $375. No limits. I had arranged a distillery tour at 2pm only 1 week before. Cost was $35 + tax and limited to 10 people (no children). The tour was 1 hr long and covered history of Breckenridge Distillery, past and current distillation techniques + 2 or more tastings. Our guide was nice. He answered everyone's questions. We saw the original 500 gallon copper still with 3 openings to extract the ethanol before being aged in American Oak barrels. U.S. law says bourbon whiskey can only be aged in American Oak. All other whiskies can be aged in Port, Rum or Sauternes barrels. The amount of char on the inside can influence the color and flavors of whiskies. Very informative. I stayed for Happy Hour (daily from 2pm-5pm). I had a Port cask Old Fashioned ($10). My food included a large gem salad with lots of grated parmesan and a prime rib cheesesteak sandwich with tater tots. Low prices for Breckenridge.

The VIP tour was fun for our group of 10. Our guide, David, did an excellent job and was very informative. We arrived before our tour time but they were slightly behind. That was ok because we had time to peruse the retail shop and take photos in the front. The only critiques I have are, small groups kept coming into the back of the room and became distracting at times while David was speaking and we were not able to see the warehouse of barrels because there was a party going on in there. Also for the price paid, I wish we could have walked away with a gift such as a branded Glencairn like other distilleries I've visited. We still had a good time.

Two stars only because the liquor itself is decent. Service deserves 0 stars. We went in as it was part of a stop during a bike tour. When we walked in on a Tuesday afternoon, we were not greeted by the one male server that was working there. He waited until we approached him and asked how the tastings worked. He quickly said, everything on the left is a free shot part of your tour and the ones on the right are offered as a tasting flight. Perhaps it was too much for our group to think we would be greeted with a smile and given a bit of explanation behind their vodka, gin and bourbon offerings. Terrible service. I would not recommend stopping in. It's a shame that one person can ruin such a strong name when it comes to Bourbon in Breckenridge.

Do NOT trust them to ship to Texas. They use a 3rd-party service called "Barcart." Barcart will tell you they can ship via UPS to a FedexKinko's location, but FedEx will refuse to accept the package. You don't want to ship to a UPS location, because UPS will charge you $50 because the package is heavy.Your shipment will then disappear. When you call to complain, the guy in the Distillery warehouse will tell you he's sorry, but it isn't his problem. When you call Barcart, they will tell you they're sorry, but it isn't their problem either. When you make a claim with UPS, your claim will never be updated. And there you'll be, 3 weeks after you placed the order, $200 poorer, and without the 6 bottles of booze you wanted to gift as Christmas presents.

One of my favorite distilleries and happened to be in town for a family trip so we decided to see what their food was like. Admittedly we thought it would be some average bar food but we couldn't have been more wrong. The cocktails, food, and service were exceptional. Libby took amazing care of us and we enjoyed some incredibly thoughtful side dishes followed by some of the best steak we've had in Colorado. Give this place a try!

What a cool place!! If you like local made spirits combined with fine dining come check this place out! We wanted to taste their different whiskeys and so we came for the free tasting option. Which lets you try two spirits at no cost and then they have options to upgrade. My buddy and I upgraded to the $8 option that allows you to try three of the premier whiskeys. Needless to say everything we tried was great I can recommend this whiskey as one to get. The tasting area is a standing bar area so make sure you don't expect to sit unless you book one of the higher end tastings which require a reservation. (Not a downside just a note)The staff were all very friendly and we decided to stay for a while and managed to get a spot at the chefs table. You get to see certain food items made right in front of you and the guys were even nice enough to entertain questions by my ignorant self. While perusing the menu we were looking at just getting an old fashioned when we discovered the drink of drinks at this fine establishment, the goblet of fire. Yes it's $35 and yes you will not experience another drink like this anywhere else so needless to say it's worth every penny. We decided to split the drink because this was more about the experience than drinking it and this drink is just as much about the presentation as the flavor (although it is good for those who are ginger inclined). They deliver a mini barrel to you and upon taking the lid off smoke rises from the barrel and the drink. We were able to smoke one of the old fashions as well and as it turns out smoked is better than un smoked! We didn't partake in any of the cuisine but based on what I saw happen at the chefs bar it would be worth it. Let's finish this one of high school essay style shall we.In conclusion, the Breckinridge distillery has managed to not only make a fine whiskey but to also develop a fine dining and drinking experience that everyone should check out.

Pleasant, knowledgeable staff. Unique takes on global good, which was well done. The pork bits with pineapple was addictive! The cocktails are well crafted and hot the spot after a day of riding!

Made a reservation for the Founder's experience tasting which I highly recommend. It was nice to have a private tasting led by one staff member. Cannot remember who led our tasting but he was incredibly knowledgeable and we had a lot of fun discussing scotch and various whiskies with him. All four of us each got different flights, so we could taste what everyone else got. Really enjoyed the variety of their product offerings and most of the prices were decent. Their Dark Arts is a bit overpriced in my opinion but I did enjoy the Two Clans which is a mix of that and some Scotch they procured from across the pond. Overall a very fun experience and I would do it again.
