I've never sat and had tea or tried their pastries, but I purchase bulk tea from here all the time. On my first visit I placed an order for some bulk tea which took about 20 minutes to get together. Since then I've always called ahead to place my order and it's ready for me when I go to pick it up.I've found they have a good selection of tea and they are always reasonably priced. They are also very willing to send samples of other teas along with an order which is nice.

This place is uber pretentious, but we just happened upon it. I think if we went there all the time we would be more comfortable, and if we lived close I would want to be there all the time. First of all, I ordered tea that had chocolate in it, genius! One down side, everything seemed to take forever. We had a little bell on our table so we could get the servers attention, but we were the only people in there, and I felt weird using it.The decor was pretty neat. Each table area was decorated as if it were from a different country. There was a big table in a bay window that looked perfect for camping out and studying. The scones were okay, but we didn't know if we should get lemon curd or clotted cream. The server said she would bring both, and then didn't. I also felt a lot of pressure to buy something. I tried to get the tea I ordered, but the server said it wasn't available in bulk- denied!

Just had lunch with my 13yo daughter. I enjoyed my fusia colored choc chip scone. My daughter's raisin flavor scone was tasty, but weighed a ton and was tough. FYI we're not hi-brow tea drinkers. After watching America's Test Kitchen raiting Lipton as the best tasting and best priced I mostly stick with it. We ordered fruity tea and enjoyed it. The sandwiches were so-so and after the scones really filling. Their chix salad I suspect is made with canned chix (like Valley Fresh brand) - tasty, but too overpriced for starting with a canned product. I ordered a huumus sandwich - OK. For 2 scones, 1 pot of tea, 1 cup of tea and 2 sandwiches our bill was $33. That's a bit pricey for the quality. The best part was the shopping/looking, something I look for in a tea experience. Park on the street. I give 3.5 stars (the 1/2 star for the shopping ambiance only).

I just back from Bona Dea Teahouse and I'm really pissed off with the lady owner. I bought 2 packages of 10 oz and another 2 packages of 2 oz fruit tea from this tea house. When I went back home and weight them, OMG! The actual weight for my 10 oz pack tea only 4 oz and the 2 oz pack actual weight only 1 oz. I went back to the tea house and plan to show them my scale but without I'm showing them, the waitress told me that they use thier own "spoon" to measure and 1 scope of their spoon = 1 oz. I asked her put 1 scope into the scale to proof that 1 scope is 1 oz but the result is only 1/2 oz. The most frustrated thing was the lady boss came out two times and keep telling me that they selling the tea by volumn not by weight and she asking me to pay more for 10 oz if I want. I felt like cheated because in their price list listed clearly that they sell by oz. I bought 10 oz per package but I just got 4 Oz and the 2 oz that I bought only gave me 1 oz yet asking me pay more if really want 10 oz...what the hack she is talking about???? Don't you think they should just write the actual weight for the same price??? She was so unfriendly for her own mistake and ask me take the refund. I will never visit this tea house again in future!!! For those who intend to visit this tea house, I will strongly not recommend it to you because they are not sincere in making business. I tried their food as well and the food portion is very small with very expenisve charges. If you intend to find a good tea house, I will recommend you my favorite tea house called Wisdom Tea House at Monument. Their foods and teas are great.

The tea and sandwiches were delicious. I highly recommend the Yemaya's Abundance sandwich. Service was excellent, the server attended my needs but didn't hover. The boutique is fabulous. I really enjoyed the jewelry from all over the world. The vintage clothing was so much fun to look at and priced really well. A great place to just relax or shop.
