Black Forest Pies and Grinders

What an amazing experience! Came here with three little kids for lunch and everything was perfect- interior was bright and clean, patio was shaded, there was even a reserved parking sign for Subarus only Staff were friendly and the menu has a variety of options to please the whole family. We enjoyed the soft Frank Sinatra music while waiting for our food, and were pleasantly surprised when kids meals were delivered first to keep everyone happy. Cheese pizza review from child: "this pizza is sooo good I could eat the whole thing!"Fries review from toddler: "that's a good fry and them is called French fries!"Hot Italian sandwich had fresh crispy romaine lettuce and tomatoes- I struggle finding vegetables that fresh even at the grocery store. Very flavorful!They brought out a complimentary Sasquatch cookie for the kids at the end, which was also amazing. Can't wait to return!

Not so good. Bland wantabe.... Chicken parmigiana was not good. Looked good, so bland and needed help. Disappointed!

Absolutely outstanding pizza!!! And that's not an easy thing for me to say at all, but holy cow!!! Fantastic!!! We will definitely be back next year, great job!!!

This place was ok. Kinda heartbreaking because it seems like it would be a great place. I ordered the cheesesteak. The meat was not flavorful at all and there was not a lot of cheese. The fries...meh. Might come again to try out the more Italian offerings.

Stopped by this strip mall food joint on the way home from our veterinarian. We knew it was fast food, but wanted something quick and easy. Ordered a meatball grinder and a spicy pork grinder from a pleasant young man . While waiting about 8 minutes for our order several others came in to order or pick up an order. All the people were repeat customers and seemed happy to be there. We ordered to-go but there was plenty of spacious seating on the side & back. Strangely there were no adults there to supervise but the kids had it all under control even as it hot busier. They were all nice and helping each other get it done. Got our food home and it was still hot & delicious ! The restaurant needs some sprucing up, but the food can't be beat. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars was because nobody wore gloves & I feel they need to. Still we will be back to stuff our faces again.

Chicken wings are SOOO good!!! Pizza too. Will definitely be back to try the sandwiches. Husband thought it was super cool they had canned lemonade lol

Went here a week ago. Husband wanted to give this place one last try. We had points on our credit card and wanted to use those toward the purchase. Magically the points were gone with no explanation. Ordered a large pizza. It was slimy and uncooked in the middle, toppings were sparse, the whole thing was greasy and not edible. I called 2 days later as it seemed I should not have to pay $35 for a pizza that is not edible. I was told to bring in my receipt that week. I did so, and was then told they do not do any refunds unless you bring back your receipt and pizza the very day you ordered it. A well run business would not have such a policy and would have at least offered to replace it or refund it. Neither happened. We will not be ordering from this establishment ever again. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Ordered several pizzas to go for a large group. Overall meh. Crust dense and a bit hard. Not a lot of cheese. They were very stingy on toppings and not uniformly spread. Pepperonis had pieces with one or none. Sausage and pepperoni had maybe 6 pieces of sausage total on a large pie.

why the heck is the dining room closed. you guys close at 9pm and your dining room is closed at 7:40? make that make sense. plus we walk in and say hello how are you guys doing. and we get nothing back besides a blank stare. why do you guys also have almost every single light off in the place. you guys are just asking for zero business. we gladly went somewhere else.

Ordered a large supreme NY well done and a medium garlic chicken (also well done NY thin). We order from them often but this was our first time ordering the Supreme. OH WOW! Perfectly cooked and sooo tasty! Also want to give props because their jalapeño poppers were probably the best we've had in years, and their wings (double fried) were We used to live on the East Coast so finding good pizza is tough in Colorado Springs (especially in Black Forest) so when we find something good, it needs to be recognized. Great job Pies and Grinders!
