Wow! We stayed here for a long weekend to explore Colorado Springs. The people who run the property couldn't have been nicer! We stayed in the Bonanza cabin. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. My husband and I decided to take a walk through the property; we saw mule deer and rabbits and explored the area. Could not have been more pleased with this stay!!! 10000/10 recommend staying here.

Do not stay here. I stayed here and was not informed that they would not be serving breakfast until the morning when I called the innkeeper and asked where breakfast was!!! Innkeeper was full of excuses and no such apology at all. Nothing on their web site at the time that said anything about this, etc. Also I called because my TV was out. the innkeeper could have cared less. DO NOT STAY HERE. Way too expensive for what it is.

This is not a true bed and breakfast. You can get a better breakfast at a super eight motel. They had store-bought muffins crappy yogurt and some generic watermelon chopped up. They brought us different muffins the second day but because of the fridge temperature the milk and orange juice were both frozen. They did not change out the fruit the whole time we were there. The innkeeper did not show us how to use the heat in the room when we checked in. Good thing we figured it out by ourself because it was cold. We stayed in what was called the honeymoon suite. If we were not the only one in the building it would've been horrible. The room was nice and cozy but it was inside a bigger cabin which normally would house other people luckily we were there alone. If there would've been other people there it would've been very noisy and not private at all.

This was a wonderful wedding venue. Both of our families are from opposite sides of the country so it was perfect that we had a place to sleep many of them. Suzy is very accommodating and flexible in terms vendors, decorations, and timing. She left us to our own devices unless we needed something, when she was very helpful. There is a nice mix of outdoor and covered spaces and plenty of electrical hookups. The property is also beautiful for pictures.

I stayed at Black Forest Bed and Breakfast Lodge and Cabins the night of November 11th 2012. We paid $75 to stay here. It appeared to be a nice rustic facility. When I walked into the lodge, I noticed it did not smell fresh. It was freezing cold in my room and the heat did not work. We complained and our all of our money was refunded.

We had a wedding there and the scenery was beautiful. But it had snowed prior to our event and it was not plowed (private road). It was snowy & icy and people got stuck. Owners stated snow removal was not going to happen, although after the fact complained because they had to shovel (what?). Our group shoveled snow and put down icy melt granules but it was still difficult. Catering truck was one of many that was stuck on the private road. Since we paid for the venue and rented cabins you would think the road and area around the buildings would be maintained properly. Handicap accessibility was poor and as mentioned above, with ice & snow it was extremely difficult to get wheelchair into and out of venue. I would not recommend during fall, winter, spring months when the possibility of "bad" weather could occur.

After a 12 hour drive this was a great place to land! Bed was comfy. Breakfast was great. Very clean. Had a good smart tv. The renovations are great! My biggest concern before coming was how the bathrooms were going to be, and I must say they were clean, recently renovated, and very nice!We will definitely recommend this place to friends family and will be coming back!

Had a wedding here. Great venue for it. You get it from noon Friday to noon Sunday and sleeps around 30 people (more if they get friendly). Susie just left us alone and we had the whole place and the beautiful view all weekend. Wish there was a fire pit.

My husband and I stayed here for one night and we so wished we were staying in the area longer because this was such a treat! Susie has set up such a beautiful peaceful place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Colorado Springs. Our room was beautifully decorated in peacocks and had such a warm cozy feel. I must say the bed in our room (The Haven) was one of the softest beds ever! There is not a huge variety of TV channels, but I am not sure why you would need to watch TV if you are staying in such a beautiful and tranquil place. We loved our breakfast of muffins, yogurt and fruit along with juice, milk and delicious coffee. This is definitely a great place to spend time in and worth every penny.

We recently discovered this place and immediately fell in love with it. It is located in a pine forest, with many excellent views of the city (and city lights) below. The rustic theme is carried throughout - including the outside grounds around the area, as well as the rooms and common areas inside the buildings. We found our room very attractive, comfortable, and spacious - with a wonderful woodland ambiance throughout.
