I love this place! We've been here twice this year! Our most recent trip was mid August. Pool was open and felt great! The staff is great and always checking in to see how things are going. Fishing is easy, just take about 100 steps from your camper and you're on the Arkansas River. Sites are level, great for bike riding for little kids. Big playground! Can't wait to go back next summer. Pros: Friendly StaffPoolFishing Access Playground/Tether ball/Volleyball court Picnic Tables Level Sites Wildlife "Beach Area" down by the river Good rates! Cons: No real dog park areaRight off of 50, but noise never kept us up at night Great spot to get away for a few days!

Easy access off HWY 50 in Howard Colorado. Direct river access for launching rafts or fishing. The sites are very well maintained and the owners are absolutely the friendliest people you will find. There is limited shade, but besides that it's a great spot to access the river.

Just book it! I can't say enough good things about this place. The owners Brenda and Aaron are the nicest people and their entire staff, Ken, Jeremy, etc are all just as good of people. We're relatively new full-timers and had had some trailer trouble prior to arriving (our jacks broke Boondocking in the desert) and we thought we were stuck attached to our truck until the RV store opened but Aaron and Jeremy saved us by using their own jacks and getting us all set up and unhooked so we could explore the town in the mean time. Then when it was time to reinstall the new ones the came by to make sure we had done everything right and were safe to go. This is only one example of how good of people they are.The site is on a river just outside town and had a beach that our dog loved. There were people fly fishing and big horn sheep grazing, it was really peaceful, even at full capacity. Staff gave us great recommendations of what to do with our time and their recommendations were on point. Bathrooms/laundry are great, WiFi and cell are great (husband works full time from trailer and had no problem connecting the whole week). It really was sad to leave but we would definitely stay here again.

Who am I to dispute the 5-star ratings Bighorn has already gotten? The owners are very nice. Laundry and showers are spotless. They have some nice greenspace out front and some beautiful shoreline along the river to enjoy. We stayed here in our motorhome and the 50 amp power is solid, sites are level and the wi-fi is pretty darn good. Propane is available, too. Forty-two bucks a night for this part of Colorado is not bad.I predict that we will stay here again!

The people running this establishment are smiling, hard working and easy going. Also, they are super cool about having dogs. The sites are clean. I'm not sure if any of the sites have a view of the river. The road is pretty close.

We camped here for a month in a fifth wheel. The park is owned and managed by Brenda and Aaron, two of the friendliest and most accommodating hosts you could ask for. The park grounds are granite, shade trees are abundant, and the RV sites are level and spacious. The property adjoins the Arkansas River where there is fishing and a fire pit and deck with adirondacks chairs overlooking the river bank for guests to use. The property also has wifi, motel style rooms, cabins, tent spaces, a nice community room, another deck overlooking the river by the office with tables, chairs and a B-B-Q pit and exceptionally clean showers and laundry. Across US-50 are fantastic mountain views. For guests entertainment a swimming pool, volleyball court, playscape, and horseshoes are also provided. If you like to hike there are trails up and down Hayden Creek just across US-50 from the park, simply beautiful and relaxing. This is just a comfortable and relaxing property to spend time at, we looked at several other parks in this area and non compare. We highly recommend it and will certainly stay here again when we're back in this area.

I've driven past many times and kept saying i wanted to stay there. I finally booked it for a family getaway, and it was a great choice!! The owners are amazing. They are so personable. My kids met so many other kids and played and had a blast! My husband kept thanking me for booking it. My kids actually were sad as we drove away to go home our last day. We stayed in the motel rooms and were very comfortable. We loved it so much we booked a return visit before leaving! This is a must stay!
