good grocery store different brands if you need something just ask and find out if they can get it.I like there produce and their deli meats are awesome if I need a box and they have some they can give me one so far. love their specials .cashier are always neat willing help if if they will go look for something for you if not busy managers are great well worth it

This is going to be a very short review. The only pro is the parking lot.Cons: Rude employees who don't give .2 to you. I'm pretty sure the employees never get training on customer service. The company hires people with no people skills and the rare time I stop in, I hope for a speedy checkout. Take a few minutes ago, not even a hi or simple conversation with the cashier. She was too busy talking, or rather gossiping with another worker. But she gave 100% attention to the person behind me. Add in the ridiculous high prices. Just over $5.50 for 1.7lb of 85% ground beef. Walmart would have been less than $4. Heck, even City Market or Safeway would have been cheaper. Recommended? Nope. Rude service, high prices. Don't even glance at this store.

So far, new to the area but lived in CO for 8 years. I will agree with the majority of reviewers that the counter people are VERY RUDE! This isn't big city mentality for the past reviewers or an acceptance to go back to the city, this is called having respect for fellow humans. The counter person was very snotty and just walking into the store I got glares and looks of displeasure. Unwelcoming and unkind attitudes/vibe. After reading poop on the apples review I will more than likely not go to the fruit and veggie section IF I go back at all. I love the peace of a smaller city but the attitude I'm seeing so far by some has to go.

Burgers are delicious. Ate there couple of times and service is good. Need more cleaning though, tables and floors, but the overall experience is okay. Will I recommend- yes. Will I be back -yes.

I've shopped at Big D a few times until I saw this happen. Never been back since. I was in produce area when an young kid had pooped his pants and it was running down his legs and all over the floor. Someone came out to start mopping when he hit a display of apple stacked up. The apples rolled all over the floor right where he was mopping. Another store worker came out help. She began picking up the apples and stacking right back on the display shelf. You could see visible poop on the apples. I confronted her about it and was told "most people wash them before they eat them ". I left my basket full of food sitting in there and never been back to this store since. I'm sure things like this happen in many places of business and we never know it. But this was bad. Total disgusting actions by store staff.

I have been going here for more than three years, and am very sick of it. They are always so rude! As other reviews have said, I have experienced workers gossiping while ringing up my items, if they aren't gossiping and ignoring you they are very short, mean and rude. This lady just got an attitude with me because I set me basket on the ground, I was just going to return it to the stack myself after she rang me up but that was unacceptable to her. There is no where to leave the damn baskets so I always take them out myself. I'm not even going to mention the ridiculous pricing here. Just avoid these rude people.

I've been going here for about 3 years. I eat from the deli for lunch 2-3 times a week. I've seen the other reviews talking about how rude the checkers were/are. I have not had that experience in the 3 years I've been going here. Prices are high, but right now prices are high everywhere. It's a small town grocery store. If you are from a big city and you are expecting the same type/level of service, you should probably remember where you are. This isn't CA, NY, IL, etc... This is Florence, CO. People are a little slower, and are not in as much of a rush. Want the same service as you got in the city? GO BACK TO THE CITY! For those of you who live in a small town because it's a small town, you'll be happy with Big D's.

Great little community grocery store. The Davidson family are very active in this community, promote local farmers and provide a great store For this small community. Shop there a few times and they will know your name! Perfect situation for people without cars, or with other challenges and seniors. Its not Walmart, it better and local.

Big D Superfoods is ABSOLUTELY the best grocery store in Fremont county! I can assure you that they will do what needs to be done to see a smile on your face when you walk out the door. They never hesitate to ask me if I need help or how my day is going. For all they do for the community and the school systems, I would spend a 1,000$ at Big D before even thinking about spending a dime at Walmart. I get that there prices can be a little high but they definitely beat Walmart in some things. There ad every week has some of the greatest deal ever no other store can compete.
