This is our home library branch, which we frequent often -- pre-pandemic 2-3 times a week and post-pandemic about once every couple of weeks depending on life. My toddler loves the Storytime and Tots Tunes classes, and it's so nice to have some structured "class" time for the littles. It's also nice that they follow each class with play time so the mamas can have some time as well! The calendar of classes and events is posted online and now they allow online registration for their more popular classes that tend to fill up quickly. So much nicer than driving over only to find out there's no more room in a class! The children's library area is nice that it's separate, but could definitely use some updating and improvement. There's a staff desk that no one ever sits at on one side, and on the other side is a little area that they set up for play. Pre-pandemic there were a bunch of toys for the kids which have since been removed. There's also a huge hot air balloon in that area, but it is also just taking space as there are signs not to touch it or sit in it. Staff is nice and helpful at this location, and the building is very bright with lots of windows.

I very much enjoy visiting this Library when I'm in the area. It's very RARELY busy. The Parker Library has a little bit more foot traffic it seems. Here at the Aurora Library, there's plenty of parking in the lot. Signing up for a card was quick and easy. All I had to do was show my CO ID and a piece of mail with my name and current address to show that I was from Colorado. When visiting for the 1st time it may seem closed or under construction because of all the chain link fences. This is simply not so. The fences are there for the Police station sharing the other side of the building. Speaking of Fences , it's a beautifully written piece by August Wilson. One of my favorite authors. The history on how he wrote was so interesting to me when I was in College and took African American Literature studies. I recommend that title. The Library attendants are very helpful and will guide you to any section you might be looking for and they are very knowledgeable. I enjoyed that they were engaging and not passive. They have movies to check out too , some DVDs some BluRays. They have current titles which is great. They have music and audio cds to check out as well. I have been adding a few to my music library. However, the music is a bit outdated. Currently (Spring 2021) magazines cannot be checked out. There is a great perk of being a member of the library right now where they have curbside assistance. Sometimes they give away books, music , audio books and I got a great one that happened to be in my interest. That was cool, and I'll be back to this library for sure.

Very nice library near Southlands. It is newer and very light & bright & looks new (although it has been here several years)! The librarians are helpful and they have a fair selection of audio books (which is my thing), plus a decent selection of hardbacks. And like most modern library systems you can go online and rent lots of ebooks - delivered right to my iPhone :) Score! All in all a nice spot to look for books, sit and read or soak up some free wifi!Note: Book return is to the right as you walk in (or outside the door to the right, if you aren't coming in). The self check out machines are to the left of the the main desk.

Nice, quiet library near my house that it took me 3 years to go and visit and now that I've been I've come back 3 times in the past 2 weeks. It's been quiet the times I've been here. They have a huge selection of audiobooks and children's books. The fiction section was nice, altho weirdly organized. Had to wander a bit to find what I was looking for.Several internet workstations and easy self checkout, plus an online selection. Located right next to the police station (they literally share a front door), so don't come to the library when you're drunk!

This place is nice. My aspiring actress daughter who also has a somewhat short attention span has been in a low cost acting workshop through the City of Aurora to make sure she wants to do this. The location for this series has been this library. Way out on the prairie, I expect to see Prairie Schooners rising up over the ponderosa pines, but then I see the Southlands and the many new housing developments. Anyway, the librarians are super helpful despite being short-staffed, everything is brand new. There are quiet little pockets to cozy into and hook up to the WiFi, including kick-patootie chairs with swinging arms for your laptop. Library is attached to the police and fire departments for this area so whether that's a drawback or a bonus, it's up to you. Aurora Libraries have their act together - when I place a hold on something, it comes via email and quickly. I'd give them 5 stars if it weren't so far away. Not their fault. . . but I prefer to not have a cattle drive in my backyard.

This library is on the corner next to the police/fire station, so my husband and I joke that it's the safest library around. They have a great kids section, and have a self-scan for checkout (a personal favorite of mine). Quiet inside, and has a great parking lot.

It's a clean library and no different any public library, from aurora pkwy they children's area shows the awesome windows which show a hot air balloon. So we decided to come to check it out with my 4yr old. Boy were we deeply disappointed that the pretend hot air balloon can't be touched or climbed in!? It was like dangling a toy in front of a kid that couldn't play with it!?? Might as well put in an area where kids can't see it!!

This is a great library! We love it. And if you need something they don't have, they will order it from another library or even from Amazon for you. They've Ordered a book from Amazon for me before. And I checked it out for free. Very helpful.

Great library if you're looking for some quite place to relax or just read a book. I don't go here that often but my kids love to borrow different kid of books and have me read them. I would say that they do have a big book variety for all ages because I always find something interesting to read. Oh, and their workstations are nice too. There's not that many but I found it very useful and always open when I'm there with my kids.
